As Lukas ended the phone call, he heard someone knocking on his door gently. He smiled as he knew this gentle knock was from Bella, she always used a gentle hand to knock on his door.

"Enter."

Lukas said he was actually waiting for the girls, and seeing them enter, he smiled, his mood was lifted by hearing about his mother’s treatment.

Anya, as usual, entered with her red face, she always blushed in front of Lukas, and it was no secret that she had a huge crush on Lukas. Ashmika was, as usual, in her confident demeanor, and Bella was just standing beside them, she looked disappointed.

"Ashmika, you have a nerve sending me a formal letter and asking for a freaking five thousand dollars’ worth of pool table."

Lukas went directly to the point, Ashmika looked unfazed. She even came closer to the table while holding her chest high.

"What’s there to entertain ourselves? The whole company is demanding a pool table"

Ashmika said she was proud of her demands, and she didn’t even flinch while talking with Lukas.

"Last month you guys took an hour’s rest from working to play games, is that not entertaining enough?"

Lukas asked. He was also dealing with Ashmika with a calm head now. He can’t fire her outright, she is also an important member of his team, and most of the people in the company came from her connections, and they are damn good at whatever they do.

"No, we also need that hour every day to entertain ourselves, but we will do that after work hours from now."

Ashmika said with a smile that she was proud of herself, and she even poked Anya to say something, but Anya just shook her head a little in denial.

I will also increase your salary by fifty thousand dollars a year, but you won’t receive any rank promotion, you’ll be the floor manager and keep the employees and Ashmika in check for me. Ask everyone if they want to get a thousand-dollar raise or a pool table in the office and let me know, alright?"

Lukas said to Anya, Anya is a hard worker, she doesn’t bullshit, she works hard and leaves the office as a person should, takes her salary, and keeps her mouth shut.

Anya, hearing the offer, smiled and nodded her head. She was happy to get a raise, and her position was also the same. She loved to code and defend the website from the hackers, she found a thrill in it, so she loved everything about this deal.

"Okay, you can go. I will be absent from the office, so I will ask you to take care of Bella for me. She will be alone in this mess, and if you just lend a helping hand, she will manage."

Lukas said to Anya, who nodded her head and smiled at Bella and left the room.

"You are going somewhere?"

Bella asked, as soon as Anya left the room, she was making a worried and sad face.

"Yes, I will be going to Japan. I need a break after the exams. I would have taken you, but it’s more like finding a person to replace me as CEO in the company, and I also can’t leave the company in Ashmika’s hands, she’s too wild."

Lukas said Bella nodded her head, she also agrees that Ashmika was too wild and won’t be able to manage the company on her own.

"Okay, I will listen to you. When are you going to go?"

Bella asked, she was more concerned about missing Lukas than the company itself.

"Maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, I have to check with my agency."

Lukas said he wanted to consult his agency about it, his agency takes a large sum of money from him, so he was going to utilize them to their full potential.

"Oh! Okay, see you at the hotel?"

Bella asked, she was just confirming Lukas was going to be at the hotel tonight. He spends nights in his dorm sometimes nowadays.

"I am not sure, Bella. I plan on doing something. If it does not go well, I will come back, and if it does, I won’t be back to the hotel."

Lukas said he was going to confront Annie today, so he was not sure what would happen, she would most likely break up with him anyway, so he was not that hopeful about it, but a man has to decide.

"You can fetch the files for me to sign, and why are you crying? I don’t understand.? I am not dying, nor am I going away forever"

Lukas stated and walked toward Bella, who was hiding her tears and shaking because she was controlling her emotions.
