Chapter 109: Babies.

Chapter 109: Babies.

The third one was also a girl, she was wearing a skirt, and she looked a bit taller than the two who were with him. She was all shy and was holding onto her mom.

" Come on," Lukas gestured for her to come over with a smile. He was still on the ground, and on his lap was the little girl who was wearing pink clothes, and in his arm was the girl with dimples.

She shook her head, her face was all red. Then Lukas finally saw the only boy. He was cute enough to challenge this girl in the cuteness competition. What surprised Lukas was the boy was wearing a Phillies jersey.

Lukas, with a smile, got up while carrying the tiny girls in his arms. He was treating them very delicately, as they were supposed to be very sick.

Lukas took them to the couch where the rest of the two were seated. Lukas placed the two girls on the couch, although they were still holding on to his suit.

Then he picked up the boy first. He looked like he was a huge fan of the Phillies, he was smiling and also not smiling. He was very shy at first, but after getting onto Lukas’s arm, he was bold, touching Lukas’s hair and his eyes.

Lukas didn’t mind, but someone else did. The girl who was a little taller in the skirt stood up on the couch with an angry expression on her face, and Lukas could guess she was maybe older than the rest of the kids.

" Her name is Lily, she is five years old and the oldest of them all," Lily’s mother said. She was just behind the couch with a smile, she said that to Lukas.

Lukas smiled and nodded his head, he was a little overwhelmed with all these babies, but he was also loving it.

"Are you a big fan of the Phillies?" Lukas asked the boy who was in his arm.

" N...no, I am your fan." The boy replied very softly, he was smiling the whole time.

The girl who stood up on the couch was so angry that she almost broke down in tears. Lukas had to pick her up as well.

" Hi... Don’t cry, I will buy you an ice cream if you stop crying," Lukas said. She was almost on the verge of crying. Lukas could guess why: she was not expressive like other children, but she needed attention.

*Peck*

She immediately stopped crying and gave a smooch on Lukas’s cheek. Lukas was so proud of himself that his emotions were getting haywire.

Lukas then sat down on the chair he was designated to sit in while the kids were taken back to the couch with their parents’ help. This thing was also shown on TV live, and this was all not planned.

The TV ratings were going up and up the more they saw Lukas on the TV.

Phillies, Chairman’s Room.

" Sir, the TV is blowing up on the charity even, it’s 70 million viewers." A man with a suit came and said to the chairman, who was smoking a cigar.

"Okay." The chairman just waved his hand to dismiss the person, and looking at his two screens, he took a puff from his cigar and smiled at them.

One screen was playing the Phillies, and another was showing Lukas playing around with the babies.

Then he picked up the phone and called someone and said, " I want to go to Chicago now! "

TV Studio.

Lukas was now seated in the chair, and in front of him were babies seated on the couch, they were smiling and laughing.

" Sir, Let me introduce them to you. The first one here we have is Mia from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She’s their little princess, and she’s almost four years old. A female host came and introduced the girl who Lukas first met and had to let her lay on his lap.

" Hi, Mia," Lukas said with a smile and a small wave of his hand.

Mia also waved back, but as if not satisfied, she walked up to Lukas and hugged him. Lukas, with a warm smile, hugged her back, and she was not letting go, so he was carrying her now and looked at the female host to continue.

" Y... Yes, so this little one is called Ava. She’s a big hugger and is through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She always gives out hugs when she loves someone even a tiny bit. She’s barely four this year. The host introduced the girl with dimples.

Lukas waved his hand with a smile and then winked. She pouted a little. She looked like she was in very much need of hugs right now.

Lukas gesture her to come too, he could carry 4 to 5 babies like this easily.

He was not seated with two smug babies on his arms and two almost crying babies on the couch. Lukas, shaking his head, just walked to the couch and sat on it and held all four close to him. Today he found out he was really weak to babies.

"So this big girl is from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. She’s, as you know, called Lily. She’s five this year, and Phillies super fan Noah, he’s four, and you guys have lots in common, like this jersey." The host introduced the children to Lukas, after that, she went back and sat in her chair.

" Today we have with us from the Phillies team, Lukas. He’s here to fulfill a request our little friends have for him, so let’s let the show begin." The host added after she sat on the chair.

" Hi, everyone, I hope you are doing well. First, I want to hear what your wish is, Noah. My little brother is also called Noah," Lukas said. He was looking at the camera sometimes and did a perfect job of maintaining eye contact with the babies as well.

The host stood up and held a mic in front of the little boy with patience.

" I want to bat when you pitch," Noah said, with a huge smile on his face.
