Chapter 71: Take Me

It was Li Lingyun and Lin Yan last night in Australia and Li Lingyun has every plan to make it a memorable night for both of them.

At 7pm Li Lingyun sent Lin Yan a text to get dress and within a minute, she heard a knock on the door and when she opened it she saw one of the hotel staff holding a blue dress.

Lin Yan allowed the hotel staff inside and she heard the woman speaking to her in English "Mr. Li arranged a dress for you and also a set of jewelries."

The hotel staff gently place the dress on the bed and opened the box that was on her hands.

Lin Yan gasp in surprised when she saw the necklace. She has once seen it in a magazine and she mentioned how beautiful it was to Li Lingyun, she did not expect him to actually buy it for her.

The hotel staff laid the the box of jewelries on the bed and clapped her hands twice and three women came.

The hotel staff pointed at the three women and said "They will help you get ready for the night."

Lin Yan smiled and said "Thank you." She wondered what Li Lingyun was planning but the anticipation made her excited.

By 9pm, Lin Yan was ready, even she was surprised by how beautiful she looked. She heard a knock on the door and when she opened it she saw secretary Gu.

"Where is Li Lingyun?" She asked.

"He is waiting for you. Boss asked me to fetch you."

Lin Yan wondered what the secrecy was all about, it made her nervous. She followed Gu Wei and closed the door to the room.

The car stopped at a place that looked like a forest to Lin Yan and she wondered why Li Lingyun would bring her here.

Gu Wei led her further into the place she thought was a forest but the further she went, the more it became like a beautiful garden to her.

She finally sighted Li Lingyun and was stunned when she saw him. Seeing him standing on a boat with a blue suit that was matching her blue dress was mesmerizing and the way he was looking at her with a smile, she realized something, that she was in love with him. It was crazy, they haven’t even being with each other for up to a year so why was she in love with him? It took two years for her to realize that she loved Li Jun so why did it only take only months for her to fall in love with Li Lingyun.

She placed her hand on her heart and she could feel it beating like crazy. But why was Li Lingyun standing on a boat.

Lin Yan walked closer to Li Lingyun and asked "Why is there a boat. If it didn’t look like a garden, I would have thought that Gu Wei bought me to a forest."

Li Lingyun chuckled and said "It’s not a forest. It’s actually a territory owned by Mr. West."

"West? The investor."

Li Lingyun nodded.

Lin Yan looked around the place again and said "He is truly a rich man. But why did he decide to buy a forest with his money."

"It’s not a forest." Li Lingyun said again.

"Not a forest, I get it." Lin Yan said.

"Come with me, I will show you why he would spend his money to buy a place like this."

Lin Yan entered the boat and almost fell but Li Lingyun held her waist to steady her.

Lin Yan fell intoxicated by his scent. She has never met a man who smelled as nice as Li Lingyun. She raised her head to look him and she saw it, there was desires in his eyes as he looked at her.

Lin Yan looked away from him and cleared her throat before looking at Li Lingyun again and this time the desire in his eyes were gone. But he still looked her with gentleness and affection.

He bought her closer to him and whispered in her ears "You look very beautiful."

Lin Yan blushed and said "You too."

Li Lingyun laughed and said "I don’t think I have ever been called beautiful."

Lin Yan widened her eyes as realization hit her "No... I didn’t mean that.. I meant to say handsome, you look handsome."

Li Lingyun smiled at Lin Yan flustered face and decided to not tease her any further.

Lin Yan on the other hand felt so embarrassed, she could not believe that she called him beautiful. What was she thinking?

Few minutes later, the boat arrived at a small house. Li Lingyun helped Lin Yan to get out of the boat, rather than taking her into the house, he took her to a place that looked like a maze. She held his hand all through as they walk inorder not to get lost.

As they reached the end of the maze, the first word that came out of Lin Yan mouth was "Wow."

The place was filled with fireflies, it was the definition of beauty.

Lin Yan looked at Li Lingyun and asked "How did you do it?"

Li Lingyun smiled at Lin Yan and said "I didn’t really do anything. I told you that this place is owned by Mr. West. He said his wife has always loved the way fireflies could light up a place, so he built this place for her but before he could show it to her, she passed away in a car accident."

"Oh. I didn’t know that was how his wife died."

"He doesn’t talk about her much. When I found out he had a place like this, i figured you will like it too, so I asked to borrow it for a while. Do you like it?"

"I love it."

Li Lingyun looked at Lin Yan and said "Me too."

Lin Yan cheek became flushed and she wondered why? He was just telling her that he liked the place as well, he wasn’t like he was saying that he loved her? Why was she so uncomposed this evening?

Lin Yan turned her gaze to the fireflies and shouted when she saw the sky "It’s a shooting star!"

When she saw Li Lingyun giving her a confused look she said "Quickly make a wish!"

Lin Yan closed her eyes and immediately made her wish.

She opened her eyes and saw Li Lingyun eyes closed and she wondered what his wish was.

Li Lingyun opened his eyes and saw Lin Yan staring at him so he asked "What did you wish for?"

"It’s a secret." Her wish was to be happy with both Li Lingyun and Li Xiao, she truly hope that it will come true. There are times she get scared thinking if the real Shen Yi would one day return back to her body, she truly hope that it never happens, even the thought of it is enough to make her have sleepless night

"What are you thinking about?" Li Lingyun asked when he saw a frown on Lin Yan face.

Bought out of her thoughts, Lin Yan smiled and said "It’s nothing."

"Do you want to know what I wished for?"

Lin Yan nodded, she didn’t ask because she thought he was going to also say that it was a secret.

"I wished for you to never put yourself in danger again, for you to cherish your life and to trust me for all your risky plans."

"Why did you wish that?"

"Your accident, it wasn’t really an accident was it? You caused it in order for me to invest in Lin An business didn’t you?"

He found out, but how? "I didn’t mean to hurt you."

"You knew I was developing feelings for you, so of course I would be grateful to Lin An for saving your life. Why did you do that?"

"It was a mistake. I felt really guilty after doing it but I didn’t want my brother’s company to go bankrupt and it was the only thing that I could think of. Are we going to end up fighting?" Lin Yan asked as tears threatened to fall from her eyes, she didn’t want to end the night with a fight.

Li Lingyun cradle her face and joined their foreheads together as he whispered "As if I could fight with you. You really don’t know what you do to me." He kissed her lips gently and briefly before saying "Promise me you won’t put your life at risk again. Use me if you want, but don’t harm yourself like that, I have come to the point where I can’t imagine my life without you Lin Yan. So don’t ever do that to me again." He pecked her lips and whispered "Promise me."

"I promise."

Li Lingyun held the back of her head and pulled her into a hungry kiss. Their tongue danced in each other mouth and Lin Yan couldn’t control her moans.

Li Lingyun stopped and whispered "I want you. I want you so badly." Without waiting for Lin Yan reply he pulled her into another kiss. He felt like he couldn’t get enough of her.

When he moved his lips to her neck he heard her moan out the words. "Take me."
