Chapter 60: The Tree That Brings Couples Together.

Li Lingyun nodded and said "This is Shen Yi, my wife."

He has changed. The Li Lingyun she knew was a cold, heartless man so why was he looking at this woman gently.

Li Lingyun gaze became cold and expressionless as he looked at Zhou Xi and said "Me and my wife are busy, so excuse us."

He held Lin Yan hand and walked away.

Lin Yan on the other hand has been in thought ever since she met Zhou Xi. That old woman said that she would soon meet the owner of this body and then she met Zhou Xi. Could it be that the real Shen Yi is actually Zhou Xi?

"Are you alright? You seem lost." Li Lingyun asked.

What’s is wrong with her? She should focus on her date and think of all the confusing stuff tomorrow with Lin An.

She smiled and wrapped her hands around Li Lingyun waist and said "I’m fine. I was just a little bothered thinking about what Meng Ziyi did to that girl."

"Don’t think of that. Besides she benefited from it." Li Lingyun peck her lips and said "Think of only me."

Lin Yan smiled and nodded.

"You are right, I should think of only you."

Li Lingyun chuckled and hugged her, he kissed her hair before he released her and asked "What do you want to do next?"

Lin Yan eyes sparkle as she dragged him around, they did many fun activities, tried out new food, watched magic tricks and even played dart.

For the first time in a long time, Li Lingyun felt relax as he held Shen Yi hand’s. He has never been to a neighborhood like this except for when he went to pay Zhou Xi a visit. He noticed Shen Yi looking at him and asked "What is it?"

"Should we get ice cream?"

Li Lingyun looked at the ice cream store that was not far from them and stated firmly "No."

"Why?"

"Li Xiao always gets sick whenever she takes something cold at night and she did not get that from me."

"She didn’t get it from me either, perhaps she got it from one of her grandparents."

Li Lingyun looked at Shen Yi silently as if he was studying her before saying "Fine, but only one."

Lin Yan nodded with a smile and ran off to get the ice cream.

Within few minutes she was back with a cup of ice cream that was mixed with both chocolate and vanilla.

Li Lingyun saw the smile on her face as she hold the ice cream and asked "Are you happy?"

Lin Yan nodded, she licked her ice cream as they walked and then suddenly stop.

"What’s wrong?" Li Lingyun asked as he saw her stopped moving.

Lin Yan just pointed to a tree where two people were kissing.

Lingyun gave her a questioning look and before he could say anything she said "There are rumors that if you kissed your true love there, then the both of you will always be together. It is called ’The tree that brings couples together’."

Li Lingyun chuckled and asked "Do you believe that?"

Lin Yan became flustered as she nodded her head.

Li Lingyun looked at the tree, the couples who was there before were already gone.

Lin Yan widened her eyes when Li Lingyun suddenly dragged her there and before she could ask anything, she felt his lips on hers, it was brief but sensual.

Li Lingyun released her and asked "Does this mean that we are always going to be together?"

Lin Yan nodded with a dumbfounded look on her face.

Li Lingyun smiled and kissed her again, her lips tasted of the ice cream she just had and when he slipped his tongue to her mouth, he let out a groan, her tongue was so delicious that he wanted more of it. He wrapped his hand round her waist and bought her closer to him as his kiss became more deeper and hungrier.

The moon shined brighly on them as if sealing their union.

It was already late in the night when Li Lingyun and Lin Yan arrived at Sun Villa.

Li Lingyun looked at the passenger seat and saw that Shen Yi was already asleep. He checked the time on his watch and it was already 11pm.

"Shen Yi, wake up. We are already home" Li Lingyun said as he tried to wake Shen Yi.

Shen Yi stirred and opened her eyes slightly as she said "Carry me."

Li Lingyun chuckled and said "You are just like your daughter." He came down from the car and went to the passenger side and opened the door, he removed Shen Yi seat belt and carried her in his arms.

Li Lingyun went into the house with Shen Yi in his arms and planned to carry her to her room but he changed his mind and carried her to his room. He laid her on his bed and removed her shoes, and covered her with his duvet, he went back to his car to bring the teddy bear he won for her and placed it beside her.

After showering and changing into a more comfortable clothes, Li Lingyun slept besides his wife while holding her hands.

Zhou Xi laid on her bed in the middle of the night, she has been unable to sleep, for some reason she kept thinking about Li Lingyun behavior towards the woman who has taken her place.

She was also on a date with Mu Chen but it was short because Mu Chen complained of being tired.

Anyway it shouldn’t matter to her anymore because she is now Zhou Xi and the love of her life is Mu Chen, that is now her life but why does it keep bothering her that Li Lingyun was looking at another woman with so much affection and then she received a message from her phone "Sorry you couldn’t enjoy the day because of me, I promise to make it up to you."

Shen Yi sighed as she read the message from Mu Chen. She wondered what was wrong with her, she has never had feelings for Li Lingyun so why was she losing her sleep because of that cold man. She closed her eyes and decided to force herself to sleep.

Lin Yan woke up and the first thing she noticed was that she was not in her room, she turned to her side and saw Li Lingyun sleeping peacefully, she could already guess that she was in his room.

Rather than leaving the room she decided to watched him sleep, to be honest Li Lingyun was the most handsome man she has ever set her eyes, but when she was Li Jun’s wife she was always scared of him because whenever she saw him he was always cold and Li Jun did not spare a second of always telling her what a monster his uncle was, so yes she was truly afraid of him and was surprised when he asked her to watched Li Xiao during the time that he was going for a business trip.

"Do you find me that attractive?"

Lin Yan widened her eyes when she heard his voice and became flustered as she said "Yes, I find you very attractive."

Li Lingyun opened his eyes and his gaze was filled with affection when he said "I find you very beautiful as well."

Lin Yan blushed when he said that and immediately got up from the bed "You should get ready for work, I’m sure the maids would have already prepared breakfast."

Li Lingyun got up from the bed as well and said "Speaking about the maids, I was thinking of asking Nanny Bao to come stay with us."

"Would she agreed?"

"Shen Yi, she took care of me since I was a kid so of course she would agreed. With nanny Bao here, I don’t need to worry about leaving Li Xiao alone."

Lin Yan nodded in understanding.

"And I have also been thinking about allowing Li Xiao to go back to school."

"And?" Lin Yan asked in anticipation.

"And she will resume school this Monday."

Lin Yan smiled in excitement and asked "So is she changing her school?"

"I indeed thought of changing her school but I decided against it because Imperial Academy is the best school in country D and my daughter cannot receive less. And that is why I also became the second highest shareholder of the school."

Lin Yan smiled and said "Thank you for thinking about it. She will be so happy to hear this. Should I pick her up from the Li Mansion?"

"No, i will do it. Getting Li Xiao in is easier than getting her out of that house because my grandfather tends to forget that she is my daughter and not his, so I will handle it." Li Lingyun said.

Lin Yan laughed softly, even she knew how possessive the old man is towards his grand daughter

"Also, starting from on Monday you will be following me to work, I need to teach you how the hotel work."

"But why do I need to follow you to work in order to learn how the hotel work?"

"Because, i will only have time there and don’t complain."

Li Lingyun just smiled when he saw Shen Yi pouting her lips as if she has been wrong. To be honest the real reason he wanted her to go to work with him was because he just wanted to spend more time with her.
