Shen Yi controlled herself and allowed Li Lingyun inside her house after he told her that he has come to speak about Meng Ziyi assault on her.

Li Lingyun sat down on the small couch and looked at the girl who has not stopped staring at him ever since he entered the house.

Shen Yi who noticed this said "This is my manager, He Jia." She putted on a cold front and continued "Have you come to me pay off."

Li Lingyun looked at Zhou Xi face carefully, he could still see the bruises there, but he could tell that it was starting to heal "It depends on if it is money you want."

"Money? What I want is justice. I want Meng Ziyi to go to prison for what she did to me. Do you have any idea what could have happened if that man had taken advantage of me."

"Justice? How do you intend to get that justice you claim you want."

"The police. And if they refuse to respond to me then I will just go the press. Your cousin is about to run for president, so I doubt a scandal is what he needs."

"Is this how rich people behave? I thought you came here to apologise for what your cousin did but instead you have come to trampled on Zhou Xi dignity." He Jia said fiercely. She could not stand the way this man was reminding them of how helpless and powerless they were.

"Why should I apologise? I wasn’t the one that did that to her." Li Lingyun said and looked at Zhou Xi "I came here to give you an offer. You and Ziyi were acting a movie called ’Lies’, where Ziyi was the female protagonist and you as side character. You can be the new female lead in that movie."

"Then what about Meng Ziyi?"

"My cousin has decided to take a break from the movie industry." Li Lingyun said with no expression on his face.

A break? How is that possible? She remembered the day Meng Ziyi cut her wrist just so her family could allow her to become an actress, so how can she be taking a break?

"And what do I need to do for you to give me all that?" Shen Yi asked. She knew it came with a price. There was no way he was giving her the lead role just like that.

"Nothing much. You just have forget about justice. Forget about the bruise on your face and live your life like it never happened."

"And if I refuse? If I still demand justice?"

Li Lingyun gaze on Zhou Xi became cold as he said "Then you would also be taking a break. A permanent break. Your career would be destroyed before it even begins. Is that truly what you want, Miss Zhou Xi?"

"Give me some time to think over it."

"You need time to think about it? You do realize that I’m not really giving you a choice right? But away, do as wish, however I will like to receive my answer tomorrow morning or else I will have to decide for you and I doubt that you will like it."

"Is that a threat Mr. Li?"

"The Li family is powerful enough to make a person disappear without any trouble, I truly hope it won’t come to that with you." Li Lingyun stood up and took out a card from his pocket and said "This is my business card. I will be awaiting your call, miss Zhou Xi."

Li Lingyun left and entered his car. The first thing he did was to call Meng Zhu "The girl is thick-skinned. I could see why Ziyi felt threatened by her."

"Ziyi is a spoilt brat. She feels threatened by anyone. Were you able to deal with the girl?"

"Yes. I told her she could be the female lead in the movie she was acting with Ziyi, but for that she needs to forget everything about the assault."

"Did she agree?"

Li Lingyun sighed and said "She said she would think about it but I’m sure she would agree. Anyway she has till tomorrow morning to give me an answer and if she prove too difficult, we can just get rid of her."

"Meng Zhu just calm down. I will handle Zhou Xi, just ensure that Ziyi doesn’t take her own life again."

Meng Zhu scoffed and said "You do know that you gave her a knife for when she decides to kill herself?"

Meng Zhu smiled when Li Lingyun didn’t say anything "Have you prepare a birthday gift for Li Xiao. Her birthday is in two days and that is all Yao Qi thinks about."

Hearing about his daughter made Li Lingyun to relax as he said "I want each of her birthday to be better than the last."

"And Shen Yi?"

"What about Shen Yi?"

"Have your relationship with her improve?"

"I like her more than i should. I think of her more than I should. Before whenever I was with Shen Yi we will always argue and I couldn’t wait to be away from her."

"And now?"

"Now, I feel like she gets me. Whenever I’m with her, I feel relax and free and I don’t know why I am telling you this."

Meng Zhu chuckled. Li Lingyun was not the type to talk about his feeling and if he was talking about it now, then he must be feeling insecure with the feelings he has developed for Shen Yi. "Are you falling in love with her?"

Li Lingyun was quiet and just when Meng Zhu thought that he wouldn’t answer he heard him saying "Perhaps I am."
