"We did a DNA test and it came back positive and look at what he did for Lin Yan."

Li Lingyun placed his drink on the table and asked "Game? So this is all a game to you, the fact that Liu Gao doesn’t know he framed his own daughter is a game to you!"

Lin An looked at Li Lingyun in surprised and asked "How did you know that?"

"Do you really think I would have ever married Shen Yi without knowing anything about her?"

Li Lingyun sighed and said "If Liu Gao is associated with Li Qi, then, just maybe he might have evidence to prove that bastard actually had something to do with my parents accident and besides that, i need to ensure that your game doesn’t end with all of us being dead."

Lin Yan was in the kitchen baking cookies when she heard a knock on the door, she looked at Li Xiao who was playing on her phone and said "Go check who is at the door. Remember, ask who it is before opening, ok?"

Li Xiao smiled as she said "Ok mommy."

Lin Yan smiled when Li Xiao ran out of the kitchen to open the door and heard her as she shouted "Grandma!"

Grandma? Shen Mua was here? She immediately came of the kitchen and saw Shen Mua hugging Li Xiao.

"Mom, you are here?"

Shen Mua smiled disappeared when she heard Shen Yi voice and looked at her.

Lin Yan noticed the way Shen Mua smiled disappeared and said "Li Xiao, go to your room and watch some cartoons, I will come to you once I’m done."

"Ok mommy." Li Xiao replied and happily went to her room.

After Li Xiao was out of sight, Lin Yan asked "Is everything alright?"

"I have always given everything you have asked me for and even when you wanted to become an actress, I was ready to support you. When you made bad decisions, I never once judge you but is this how you decided to repay all the love and care I have given to you all these years?"

Lin Yan frowned as she said "I don’t know what you are talking about?"

"Did you think that I will never find out that you were the one who framed my daughter."

"What? Mom I..."

"Do not call me your mother! If I was truly your mother then you would never have done this to me. Do you know how long I have search for her? For my little girl and just because she loved Li Lingyun you decided to take her away from me."

"I never did that? I wasn’t the one who killed Su Yin and I’m definitely wasn’t the one who was found holding a knife stain with her victim blood."

"She was framed."

"And you think I framed her? Why would I do that?"

"Because you hated her, you wanted her out of the way."

Lin Yan suddenly burst into laughter, she walked closer to Shen Mua and said "When I want to get someone out of my way, I don’t bother framing them, I just get rid of them."

"I have never realized that all these years I was raising a monster." Shen Mua said with tears falling from her eyes.

"Monster." Lin Yan whispered to herself as she carressed her cheek that was slapped. She looked at Shen Mua and asked "You think I’m a monster? But why? What did I say wrong? I only said your daughter wasn’t worth my time or was it when I said I get rid of the people who get in my way."

"Shen Yi!"

"Of course. You will never understand, after all, you were born in a rich family, raised in one and even married a rich man. People like you will never understand what it means to live in a dog eat dog world."

"What are you even talking about? Didn’t I always give you whatever you wanted, have I ever made you dissatisfied in anyway?"

"You weren’t my mother."

"What?"

"If you were my mother, then I would never have turned out this way." Lin Yan suddenly said as she remembered the woman who gave birth to her.

Shen Mua chuckled softly with tears in her eyes as she said "No, that is not true. I may not have given birth to you but I still loved you like my own and the real reason you turned out this way was because despite all the love and care I gave to you, I could never get rid of your evil gene, I could not stop you from being a monster just like your dad."

"My dad?"

"I never thought a day will come when I will say this but I really regret adopting you." Shen Mua said and was about to walk out when Lin Yan held her wrist tightly and said "You can’t say that to me and just walk away."

Shen Mua was shocked, just what was wrong with her little girl, for some reason looking at Shen Yi eyes made her heart filled with sympathy, it was like the person who was holding her wrist tightly wasn’t her Shen Yi but someone else who has gone through a lot and without realizing the words that were about to come from her mouth, Shen Mua asked "Just who are you?"

"Shen Yi!"

Lin Yan came out of her daze when she heard a familiar voice, she looked at the door and saw Lin An standing there with a frown on his face, why was he frowning? She looked at where his eyes were looking and Immediately released her hold on Shen Mua.

Shen Mua rubbed her hand gently when she saw a bruised forming and said "I really don’t know who you are anymore but no matter your schemes I will get my daughter out of that hellhole no matter what I have to do." Shen Yi spare a glance at Lin An who was looking at her coldly and left.

After Shen Mua left, Lin An looked at his sister who look like she was in daze, he frowned when he saw a bruised on her cheek and asked "Did she hit you?"

When he received silence to his question he shouted "Lin Yan! Did she hit you?"

Lin Yan placed a hand on her cheek and said "It doesn’t hurt."

"Then what does hurt Lin Yan? Why were you reacting like that? What did she same to you?"

"Nothing, it wasn’t to me anyway, her word just trigger a memory and I got agitated."

"What were her words?" Lin An asked.

Lin Yan looked at her brother in the eyes as she said "I really regret adopting you."

Lin An froze when he heard those words because those were the words their mother would tell them but rather than ’adopting’ her words were "I really regret giving birth to you."

Li Jun sat down and asked "Did you even know Lin Yan?"

Shen Yi shrugged and said "I know her more than you think I do."

Li Jun sighed and said "So tell me, what do you know about Lin Yan?"
