"Li Xiao." Lin Yan called out with a smile when Li Xiao came out of the school gate but frowned when the little girl did not run to her as usual. Li Xiao just walked to the back of the car and closed the door without even glancing at her mother once.

Lin Yan wondered if something happened at school. She helped Li Xiao to put on her seat belt and when she entered the car, she asked "How was your day? Did anything happened at school?"

Li Xiao looked at her mom and was about to say something but just shook her head and closed her eyes. Lin Yan knew she was just pretending to sleep but decided to drop the topic.

When Lin Yan arrived in Sun Villa, Li Xiao immediately went up to her room. Lin Yan sighed and went to Li Lingyun study, she knocked on the door and entered when she heard a ’come in.’

Lin Yan entered and saw Li Lingyun making a video call. She sat on the couch and waited for him to finish and when he was done she heard him asking "Why the long face?"

Lin Yan looked at Li Lingyun and said "It’s Li Xiao. She has been behaving strangely ever since I picked her up from school."

"Strangely? How?"

"She haven’t spoken a word to me, not even once and immediately we got to the house she went to her room. It’s as if she is avoiding me. Li Lingyun what if she has been brain wash by Shen Yi when we weren’t paying attention to her."

Li Lingyun stood up from his chair and walked towards Lin Yan, he bend down to her level and held her hand as he said "I always pay attention to Li Xiao and I can confidently tell you that Shen Yi has not come close to our daughter since then."

"Then why didn’t she even talk to me."

"Perhaps she got into a fight in school, I will talk to her." Li Lingyun said.

"Okay." Lin Yan replied.

Lin Yan waited outside the door as Li Lingyun entered Li Xiao room.

Li Lingyun walked gently to his daughter who covered her head with a blanket and said "I know you aren’t asleep."

Li Xiao held the blanket more tightly and refused to respond to her father.

Li Lingyun sat on the bed and said "You know you can tell me anything right? I won’t scold you."

Li Xiao finally removed the blanket from her face and Li Lingyun heart broke when he saw his daughter face stained with tears. Who ever it was that has caused his daughter to cry, he vowed to make them pay, even if the person was just a kid.

Li Lingyun gently cleaned the tears from her face and asked "Who was it that made you cry? Was it a teacher or one of your classmates?"

Li Xiao shook her head and said "It’s because you and mummy won’t love me anymore."

Li Lingyun raised his brow and asked "What do you mean by we won’t love you anymore? Who told you that?"

"Bei Jue told me that her parents stopped loving her after they gave birth to another baby." Li Xiao said as more tears flowed from her eyes.

"That’s absolutely not true. Listen to me, even if me and your mother have more kids we will never stopped loving you. I thought you were excited about having a baby brother."

"But what if you stopped loving me because of him?"

"That will never happen. You will always be my little girl and that is something that will never change, ok?"

"You promise?"

"I promise." Li Lingyun said with a smile as he embraced his daughter tightly. He kissed her forehead and said "Now, let’s go meet your mom, she has been very worried about you."

Li Xiao nodded and held her father hand. Li Lingyun opened the door and saw Lin Yan waiting for them outside the door. He felt as Li Xiao hand left his as she ran to her mother.

Lin Yan opened her hand wide and hug Li Xiao as she said "How could you think that I will ever stopped loving you."

It was as if her words were the key to open the gate of Li Xiao tears. Lin Yan hugged Li Xiao tightly as the young girl kept crying.

Lin Yan smiled when she placed Li Xiao on her bed, the little girl had cried herself to sleep..

"I can’t believe she was thinking of such nonesense." Li Lingyun said while he watched his daughter sleep.

"She was just being insecure, hopefully we were able to clear it." Lin Yan replied when her phone began ringing. She kissed Li Xiao forehead and went out of the room to answer the call.

"Hey Lin An."

"Have you seen the news?" Lin An asked.

"News? What news?"

"Su Yin is dead."

"Su Yin? But why do you think i will care if she is dead?"

"Because Zhou Xi was arrested for her murder." Lin An replied.

Just then Li Lingyun came out of the room, while also making a call, Lin Yan could guess that they were receiving the same news.

"I will call you back." Lin Yan said as she ended the call.

"Keep me updated." Li Lingyun said and ended his call. He looked at Lin Yan and said "Zhou Xi was arrested for killing Su Yin."

"Yeah, Lin An just me but it doesn’t make sense, there was no reason for her to kill Su Yin, infact I didn’t even know that they knew each other."

"According to Gu Wei, she was found in Su Yin apartment covered with her blood but that’s not the problem?"

"It isn’t?" Lin Yan asked with a frown.

"Zhou Xi has refused to see a lawyer, she says she only wants to see you."

Lin Yan pointed a hand to herself and asked "Why me?"

"I don’t know and I really don’t care but you’re not going and by the way how did your brother know about Su Yin’s death?"

"Isn’t it on the news?"

"It wasn’t on the news until two minutes ago, so how did Lin An know about Su Yin death?"
