Chapter 49: Chapter 48: Reality Of Life
"Wait... this aura...," a deep, chilling voice echoed from the sky.
Yes, the sky itself. It was filled with swirling clouds, both dark and light. At its peak, a colossal figure hovered—a being of immense size.
It had two massive wings, two powerful front limbs with razor-sharp claws, and strong hind legs covered in thick, impenetrable scales. Its head and snout bore an uncanny resemblance to the dragons of Western fantasy—because it was one.
A golden dragon.
Its terrifying muscles rippled with raw power, making it clear that this was no ordinary beast.
Unlike its Eastern dragon counterparts, some of which had serpentine bodies without wings, this dragon stood as the undisputed strongest of its entire race. It was, without a doubt, the greatest prodigy of the monster race.
This was the fabled genius, rumored to be the only one capable of challenging the Space-Time Female.
His aura was restrained, yet with just a few flaps of his wings, he traversed vast stretches of space effortlessly.
"Huh... what’s that?" the dragon prodigy murmured, his golden eyes narrowing.
He could feel it—a terrifying aura from the awakening of a new concept.
"That’s not her... so who else? A new concept has emerged... the realm of war. This is getting interesting," he muttered as space fractured around him, and his speed increased once again.
***********
Elsewhere...
"Who awakened the new concept?" Muyin thought as he steadied himself.
In his first life, only the Space-Time Female had ever awakened a concept. But now... another had appeared.
"What is really going on?" Muyin pondered, but no answer came.
"Forget it... I need to grow stronger if I want to understand anything—and, of course, to keep myself alive," he said, his gaze fixed on the lingering darkness.
There wasn’t much difference between the forest before and after the darkness came. It was still cold, eerie, and shrouded in an unsettling atmosphere.
Yet, Muyin smiled.
First, obtain the demonic bloodline. Next, find out who awakened the Oblivion concept. Befriend them... or observe from afar.
It all depended on how fate played its hand.
With this thought, Muyin stepped into the forest—this time, more cautious than before.

At the Wakon Race...
Riya took deep breaths, staring at the five corpses of Peak False God Realm experts before her.
There was no time to celebrate.
She had broken through to the Middle False God Realm but quickly realized something—she could only leap two stages in battle. Anything beyond that, and she was doomed.
So instead of aiming too high, she decided to become invincible within her level.
Maybe, just maybe, she could break that limit.
But what worried her most was her hands. They trembled uncontrollably as the Concept of Nothingness rioted within her body.
She wasn’t alone—every powerful being felt the disturbance. The stronger one was, the less the reaction, but no one was completely unaffected.
Kael, however, hadn’t experienced this reaction—because the Space-Time Female had already awakened it before him.
***********
"ROAR!!"
A deafening roar, filled with both fear and fury, tore through the battlefield as a wolf beast stepped forward, its eyes locked onto Kael.
By now, the darkness had fully merged with Kael’s body, revealing his Incomplete Oblivion Form.
His purple sword radiated an oppressive force, making the wolf beast’s subordinates tremble in fear.
Kael grinned, adjusting his grip on the sword. The mere movement caused space to crack and shatter, with dark energy swirling around him, healing the ruptures left behind.
Then, he moved.
Instantly, he appeared before the first wolf beast.
Unlike its king, which was three times larger, this one stood at five meters tall and eight meters long—merely average to Kael.
The wolf let out a mix of growls and whimpers, its tail curling beneath it in fear.
Kael ignored it and vanished again—reappearing before the next wolf.
The first wolf, thinking itself spared, began to relax.
Then—BOOM.
Its head exploded in a mist of blood.
The skin and flesh were instantly absorbed into Kael’s body, while the bones crumbled into nothingness, erased by the Erasure Ability.
Kael wielded the three concepts that formed OBLIVION, showcasing how seamlessly they intertwined.
It was an awe-inspiring sight... but something was still missing.
The three concepts were present but not yet fully integrated.
If it had been the Complete Oblivion Concept, the destruction would have been absolute—instantly erasing the target from existence, converting them directly into energy within Kael’s body, rather than first covering him in their essence.
And so, the wolf beasts watched in growing horror as one by one, their comrades vanished.
Kael did the same thing every time—appear, disappear, absorb, repeat.
Seconds later, silence fell.
Only one remained.
The last wolf trembled, crouching low, its body shaking violently. It frantically searched for Kael— but found nothing.
"Looking for me?"
The voice sent a shiver down its spine.
Kael stood on a distant cliffside, two miles away, a massive surge of energy coursing into his body.
Even with this colossal influx of power, his realm didn’t even budge.
As for the Wolf King—it was no more. The sheer amount of energy it left behind shrouded Kael’s form, giving him an ominous, godlike presence.
Below him stretched a breathtaking view—a serene paradise seemingly untouched by the brutal forest.
Waterfalls. Lush greenery. Vibrant flowers. Crystal-clear rivers. Gentle, docile beasts.
It was a stark contrast to the cold, merciless battlefield.
"Alas... good things always come to an end."
Kael sighed.
Then—
A massive force crashed down from above.
BOOM!!
A scorching heatwave surged toward him as a wyvern descended, razing the land below and obliterating the so-called ’beautiful scenery.’
**********
"A new one is born..." A lone figure walked through a vast desert. Ahead lay a dense forest.
Unconcerned, the being stepped into the forest, and immediately, the trees began to wither. Leaves curled and turned to dust, the ground cracked, and in mere moments, the once-thriving forest became an extension of the desert.
This vast land had once been filled with life, yet this being had destroyed it simply by passing through.
Some concepts exist beyond the limits of power—forces like misfortune, luck, and others. Among them, one of the most terrifying was embodied in this being: the wielder of the Concept of Disaster.
"The Realm of War... Disaster is just around the corner," the figure murmured, its dark hide glistening under the fading sunlight.
Suddenly, it looked up and chuckled.
"Oh dear... the God of War," the being said as its face was revealed—an eerie, feminine figure with blood-red eyes.
"Disaster..." A deep voice echoed as a man descended from the sky. The God of War had returned from the Death Realm and now stood before her.
"What are you doing here? Why did you leave the High Realm and descend to the Middle Realm?" he asked, frowning. His broad chest rippled with muscle, veins outlined in a striking display of power.
Disaster smiled. "Oh, I was bored. Just taking a walk."
The God of War’s frown deepened. Disaster taking a walk? What a joke.
She was Disaster itself. Wherever she went, calamity followed. Even her presence was enough to bring ruin. The proof lay beneath their feet—the once-massive forest now reduced to an endless wasteland.
"Tell me the real reason you’re here," he pressed.
Her smile widened. "Do I even need to say it? I can sense a catastrophe forming, and it’s right here in the Middle Realm. That’s where I’m going."
The God of War’s expression twisted. She was right—wherever disaster brewed, she was there. And wherever she went, disaster followed.
This wasteland was the size of a multiverse.
To ordinary mortals, a universe seemed infinite, ever-expanding beyond their comprehension. But compared to the grand scale of existence, universes were mere grains of sand. There were multiverses, parallel realities, and omniverses. Creation and destruction intertwined, a never-ending cycle of birth and extinction.
"Disaster," the God of War muttered. She merely laughed.
"Oh, come on. You’re excited, aren’t you? You can feel it—the taste of war in the air. That delicious craving..." She giggled before turning away. "Move."
With a sigh, he stepped aside as she passed.
Then, she whispered, "Luck is going insane right now... Oh, and I almost forgot—Misfortune is coming too."
The God of War clenched his fists.
"A lot of deaths..." he murmured after she vanished.
His expression was unreadable as he gazed at the desolate land. Who knew how many creatures had perished? The God of Death was likely watching, grinning in amusement.
Then, suddenly, the God of War grinned as well. His eyes burned with excitement.
"Why should I care about the lives of worms? The life of a microbe means nothing to a giant."
His heart **beat once—**and countless universes collapsed.
************
Elsewhere...
"Is it him again?" A young male voice asked.
An elderly man leaned on his crutch and sighed. "Yes."
The young man’s fists clenched. "This is the fifth universe he’s destroyed in the past two minutes! Are the gods always like this?" he snapped in frustration.
The old man chuckled. "You think those lesser gods you’ve seen can compare to them? Do you even understand what a god is? Immortality. Eternity. Power. Strength. Speed. The ability to control fate itself. You can’t begin to comprehend their ways." He then glanced at the boy. "Besides... didn’t you destroy a galaxy yesterday in a fight?"
The young man hesitated. "...But that was just a galaxy. There are infinite galaxies in a universe!"
The old man shook his head. "And? A universe is just one of many in a multiverse. Not to mention the omniverse." He mimicked the boy’s tone mockingly, making him fall silent.
"The truth is simple," the elder continued. "The stronger you become, the more indifferent you are to life. Because compared to what you’ve seen... it’s worthless."
A deep silence followed.
And the old man was right.

Author’s Note:
Ever wonder how some people can be so indifferent to death? Some are mentally broken, unstable. But for most, it’s simply power.
The way you see an ant? That’s how they see others.
And is that wrong? No. It’s instinct.
As a child, you might have feared an ant or a mouse. But as you grew, they became insignificant, meaningless.
That’s all there is to it.
