Victoria was fed up every time she read text messages from her stepmother. Actually, she had not communicated with her family for a long time because she really hated her stepfamily who treated her as an outcast for years. Moreover, her stepfamily always used Matthias for their own benefit. Actually, Victoria still had her biological father, but she did not forgive her biological father who married an evil woman so she considered her biological father like a stepfather too.

She was forced to end her discussion with Jennifer before it was further complicated by her stepmother.

"Jennifer, I’m sorry. My stepmother asked me to meet her now."

Jennifer folded her arms. "You’re an adult, but why do you have to obey her?"

"Actually, I don’t want to be controlled by her anymore. But what can I do, I can’t fight her anyway. If I fight her, then I don’t have the right to get the position as president director in my father’s company."

"Your stepmother is still evil! She deliberately approached your father all this time so that your step sister would be the one entitled to the position of president director."

Victoria patted her best friend’s right hand. "We’ll continue our conversation later. Today is going to be the most complicated day of my life."

Victoria was forced to visit her luxurious residence before her stepmother tortured her even more cruelly. Her presence entering this luxurious house was not welcomed by anyone. Even the housekeeper did not treat her as an honored guest. Actually, she did not really mind it because in this house she was never loved by anyone.

Even when she sat in the living room, she was not served any drink. While her stepmother enjoyed a rare herbal tea drink with pleasure to encourage her.

"Sorry, I think I ran out of tea for you. Is that okay with you?"

Victoria smiled sarcastically as she crossed her legs. "What exactly is your purpose for calling me now, Aunt Danielle? Did I do something wrong again that made you angry?"

"Actually I want to ask for your help, not to kick you out. Do you know that your ex-boyfriend’s family has suddenly stopped funding our company?"

Her right eyebrow raised. "Then, does it have anything to do with me?"

"Of course! Maybe you can persuade your ex-boyfriend’s grandfather to help us again. Actually, before you had the accident, your ex-boyfriend’s grandfather was very supportive of your relationship. But your ex-boyfriend’s mother and I don’t support your relationship because we don’t want you to get married for business reasons."

Victoria wanted to vomit her entire stomach hearing her stepmother’s repeated words. "You don’t have to be a hypocrite. I know you don’t approve of my relationship with my ex-boyfriend because you’re afraid that your biological daughter will lose to me, right?"

"But, do you know who your ex-boyfriend is?"

"No. I still don’t remember until now. Even his grandfather is still hiding his grandson abroad. That’s all I know." Victoria was forced to use this trick for her and Matthias’ sake. Somehow she felt that Matthias didn’t deserve to be treated like this either.

"But, is it true that the grandfather never showed you a photo of his grandson?"
