Several days have passed, although Victoria managed to save Matthias from the deception that Anton had planned earlier, but she still did not accept Matthias as her husband. Victoria returned to work in her studio as usual, now she focused on the big project that Matthias gave her.

Since she started working with Matthias, she was often invited to visit his office even though there weren’t many important things to talk about. Usually, they talked about things outside of work. Was Matthias’ real purpose in calling her so that they could have a date at the office?

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, she invited her partner to enter the room. Her partner was one of her best friends when she was in college. When she returned to work at the studio after the accident, she had a fight with her business partner because they often had different opinions. Victoria flipped her long hair arrogantly. "You should thank me because I saved the studio."

"But how did you win the heart of that cold CEO? Isn’t he known as a perfectionist? You even messed up the meeting."

Speaking of the cold CEO, Victoria almost forgot to ask her partner something important. "Louis, do you still remember when I designed Matthias’ luxury house?"

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden? Have all your memories recovered?"

"No. It’s just that I’m curious because Matthias told me before. Another reason he was interested in working with me is that he really likes his house because my design satisfied him."

"Then, why have I never found Matthias’ name on our client list?"

Suddenly there was another knock on the door. Victoria wondered who would want to visit her now besides Louis. Spontaneously she got up from her chair, then opened the door for an uninvited guest.

Her eyes widened and her feet spontaneously walked backwards to greet her husband’s sudden arrival, surprising her. While Louis could only clear his throat while staring at the ceiling. Actually, he was used to witnessing the couple’s intimate moments, but now he felt a little awkward because the couple’s relationship was now hostile.

"What are you doing here?" Victoria asked in a trembling voice.

"Of course, I want to give you a gift and invite you to have lunch together." Matthias gave a white paper bag to his wife.

"Aren’t you busy today?"

"Am I not allowed to visit you in the midst of my busy schedule?"

"Still, you can’t just visit my office without making an appointment with me first."

Matthias moved his lips closer to his wife’s ear. "We’re married. I should be allowed to visit your office whenever I want. Besides, I’m the main investor in this studio."

Victoria raised her right eyebrow. "Okay, I’ll have lunch with you as a form of cooperation too. Instead of you making a scene in my office."

Victoria was not kidding when she agreed to her husband’s invitation to have a lunch date. Actually, they had not only dated once, but they had done it several times, that’s what made her only give up. Besides, she didn’t take lunch with her husband seriously. She still considered her husband as a business partner to save her studio which was experiencing a downturn.

Matthias chose a date spot that wasn’t too far from the studio, it only took ten minutes by car to get to the restaurant. It could be said that this restaurant used to be their favorite when they were still dating. However, it was a shame that only he remembered all those beautiful memories.

"By the way, why do you always order this much food? Are you sure I can finish it now?" Victoria asked, glaring at the various food menus that Matthias ordered from appetizers to desserts.

"You’ve been working hard all this time. Of course you need to eat a lot to replenish your energy."

"But, I won’t refuse it. Actually, you’re the only one who knows that I’ve been eating large portions."

A happy smile adorned his handsome face. "Thank God, I have more hope."

"Don’t be happy yet! Now I only think of you as a business partner. You helped me a lot to restore my studio. I should be the one treating you now as a sign of gratitude. But you always refuse."

"Then you must grant my wish."

"I still can’t grant your wish. I know you want me to truly love you as sincerely as before."

Hearing his wife’s words not according to expectations, he laughed out loud until his face turned red. "Since when did I demand you like that?"

"Then what do you want me to do?"

"I want to stay friends with you. Even though I failed to win your heart for three months, I don’t want us to be enemies."

Victoria kept thinking about her husband’s wishes all day until night. When the clock showed 7 pm, she was ready to tidy up her desk.

Anton called her suddenly, making her stand stiffly. Her right hand immediately swiped the phone screen.

"What do you want now, Anton?"

"Let’s meet. I want to tell you something important."

Victoria rolled her eyes. "What do you want to tell me? Just get to the point!"

"If it’s about Matthias, are you interested? You should know his background."
