On the other hand, Anton was furious after going through today that openly humiliated him. If he also invited other people to compete with him, then he was confused about how he wanted to show his face. Moreover, he hated Victoria even more who openly betrayed him earlier. He was very curious, since when did Victoria and Matthias’ relationship look close even though he had never seen them communicate with each other.

Anton finished quite a lot of beer bottles so that the living room of his house was filled with scattered beer cans. When he wanted to finish another beer, suddenly his hand was held by a woman wearing a sexy red dress.

He turned his head to look at the woman enthusiastically. "Amber, you finally came!"

The woman rolled her eyes as she laid Anton’s body on the sofa. "How much have you drunk, Brother? Your body reeks of alcohol now!"

"About three bottles."

Amber could only rub her chest while picking up several beer cans scattered on the floor. The living room was filled with the smell of alcohol, making her want to throw up too.

"I’ve picked up about ten bottles, but you only admit to drinking three? I have to report you to father sometime!"

Anton shook his head quickly while holding his brother’s left hand. "Dad can’t know I’m drunk like this."

"What’s wrong with you? You don’t usually drink until you’re this drunk."

"This afternoon I competed with a beautiful woman. She is my main competitor in business."

"So?"

"Even though I managed to win the match. But I can’t enjoy the result. If I had won the match, I would have had to make her my girlfriend."

"Doesn’t this sound unfair? Why does it seem like you’re the one who lost? Did you do something wrong?"

"No! I didn’t do anything wrong!" Anton shouted in a high-pitched voice that hurt Amber’s ears.

"Ouch, my ears hurt! Then, why did you fail to get the woman? Shouldn’t you just ask her out?"

"But she’s been taken by another man. Moreover, that man is the man you’ve liked all this time."

Amber’s forehead furrowed in an instant. She knew what her brother meant was Matthias. She had been close friends with Matthias for a long time, but Matthias had never expressed his feelings for her and had always considered her as a friend. Should she act quickly to win Matthias’ heart again now?

"Matthias is the one who dares to do it? Hasn’t he ever been interested in dating?"

Anton rolled his eyes while slapping his forehead repeatedly. "He may not seem interested, but he’s actually crazy about just one woman."

"But, didn’t you see it wrong? Maybe you misunderstood."

"No! I saw it with my own eyes! Matthias kept hugging that woman as if she were his own wife." Anton rubbed his palms together quickly. "Please, help me so that their relationship ends in failure!"

Amber looked away while folding her arms. "So, now you want to use me just because I’m your sister?"

"Don’t you also really like Matthias? You should support me!"

"Have you forgotten your own sister’s personality? I don’t want to ruin someone’s relationship that’s already sweet."

"So, you want to let Matthias really marry another woman? You won’t be able to accompany him down the aisle."

"But-"

"You have spent a lot of time with him while abroad. Now it is time for you to show yourself that you are worthy of being Matthias’ wife."

At first Amber showed an innocent face, now she changed her mind just because she was easily influenced by her brother’s words. She showed a cynical smile while clenching both hands.

"I will not let Matthias marry that woman."

While the couple was still awkward with each other after what they had faced all day. Victoria was really being watched by her husband in the room like a prisoner. In fact, she wanted to do something else that her husband should not know. Now she was thinking of all the ways to make her husband leave her.

"By the way, aren’t you going to sleep?" Victoria asked awkwardly.

"I want to sleep after I see you are really fast asleep."

Victoria rolled her eyes as she turned away from her husband. "I’m actually not comfortable being watched all day. We did discuss work earlier, but our business is done. You can leave me alone."

"What if I don’t want to?"

"Should I beat you up? Have you forgotten our contract? I won’t allow you to sleep with me!"

"You’re so ungrateful! I saved you earlier, but you treat me like a stranger again!"

"Wouldn’t it be more likely for you to approach me every chance you get? I can read your mind without you telling me."

A harsh breath escaped his lips. Matthias got up from the bed and turned around. "Okay, I won’t bother you anymore."

"You better go to bed soon! Aren’t you going to watch me present my project proposal tomorrow?"

Matthias stroked his wife’s head slowly. "Even when you made the proposal earlier, I could feel how persistent and sincere you were in working on this project for my satisfaction."

"I actually did it so that you wouldn’t be fooled by other businessmen. I didn’t expect you to be the stupidest CEO I’ve ever met."

"Actually I am stupid not because I am easily fooled, but I am stupid because of you."

The next day, Matthias had asked his assistant to prepare an empty meeting room for Victoria and Anton to compete in presenting their proposals. Now the person to present her proposal was Victoria. This time she was confident in appearing in front of many people, including her main competitors.

"I am Victoria, from Star Wisdom Studio, I would like to show you the results of my proposal for a real estate development project."

When Victoria wanted to show a powerpoint slide, suddenly her computer was attacked by a virus, causing a commotion among the audience, including Matthias, who panicked.
