Chapter 667: No time to waste.

Chi Lian wasted no time on that day, and she did not mince words with the targets or engage in fancy scare tactics because she had learned from her mistake with the space ship.

T4 would send an urgent text to the target, they would rush out of a building or wherever they were and get into their cars or anywhere they sought privacy.

Most of the texts were related to things they wanted to hide, like mistresses, bastard children or the police is here to arrest you, run!. Anything that would get the target where she wanted them.

Then, she, in her invisible suit, waiting inside of the car or hiding in a corner somewhere would inject the target in the back of the neck with an anesthetic and toss them in her virtual storage space.

She did this for the largest part of the day and when night was falling, she delivered twenty two targets to the boat. Some of the targets she delivered were part of the small fish list.

She waited in the back of a parked car, on the private dock which was accessible only to the royal family and for purposes of today’s mission, the bounty hunters. As she waited for the dots on the map to turn into a single cluster, she hummed and played the game, angry birds on her phone with virtual glasses.

When she got tired of the game, she played the virtual farm game, planting and harvesting crops. In due time, Muyang joined her inside the car with bags of food and the two played a shooting game as a team, terrorizing the confidence a group of teenagers in a cafeteria somewhere in the capital who were playing against them.

The two adults high fived proudly each time they gained a victory.

It took slightly longer than she assumed but at around ten o’clock that night while the winds were picking up speed on the sea, the last target was acquired.

Immediately, the boat set out, and the rest of the mission would be handled by the emperor’s men. She knew for a fact that those people were all heading to the ship prison for the rest of their lives. Treason was not a crime that could be forgiven, it was a capital offence that warranted death.

The emperor had simply done things covertly in the dark because the royal family did not want the news out there that the enemy had successfully infiltrated the palace and come close to ending the Long dynasty. This could inspire someone else to try and replicate the actions.

If she had not been surveilling Yan Daya and the crown princess, they never would have known all this.

But she also knew that things were far from over because QB bank was still standing, sinner was still running. Most illegal activity had been stopped and they were being extremely careful about their actions and movements but the normal operations were still on going. It was the same for most of the other shady businesses in the other cities as well.

However, they seemed to be consolidating most of their funds lately, and sending them to the flower farm. Most of the money was physical, and not on accounts. According to T4, either the money would be moved to a secondary location or it would sit there since they assumed nobody knew of it’s presence yet. The moment they caught a whiff that the flower farm had been tainted, they would start moving those funds immediately.

As they drove away from the dock, she asked T4, how much danger am I faced with now?

"It’s down to nine percent host." he answered.

"If I take their money?" she asked him.

"Five percent." he said.

"If I get rid of the Yan’s, the ones with money and resources especially?"

"An ignorable one percent." he answered.

"What exactly do I have to do to get that number down to zero?" she asked.

"Not much host, no human lives without a few people hating them for one reason or the other. That one percent could be a jealous friend or ex friend, an employee you terminated, the emperor who admires you but is also wary of you, someone you put in prison and those have been many. There are also those you crippled and left alive as punishment for their crimes. We cannot eliminate random people from the internet that hate your guts and your success. So unless you are willing to kill everyone that hates you, a small degree of danger will always exist. The system will warn you if the danger goes beyond the norm and cannot be ignored."

"Define the norm." she told T4.

"Mmm, keeping an eye on you, ranting on the internet, throwing you different shades of glares, spreading malicious information or throwing an egg at your face." he chuckled.

She remembered that one individual when he mentioned it. Thank God, that stupid gif was gone from the internet.

"The system intervenes if the individual intends to harm you or someone around you. You can relax now host."

"Nine percent danger is not loosening up percentage, it’s maybe you will die or maybe you won’t die. I am not taking any chances so draw up plans to rob the flower farm soon."

"As you please mi lady." he said playfully. "By the way, Ai Giang Lu has been voted out as the president of City bank for embezzlement of company funds. It’s all hush hush and the Ai’s are not letting the world know. The matriarch of the family has given the younger brother Ai Qi her shares and appointed him the new president with the full support of the board. Should we peep star it?"

"Of course." she said. They had been the ones to share that information with the matriarch after all. Ai Giang was the one who pressured those companies to stop advertising with phoenix tv and sponsoring their shows.

She knew that the Ai matriarch had been looking for an opportunity to get rid of Ai Giang after getting rid of his young wife who was arrested for prostitution and then vanished. The matriarch had moved so fast, again, and she could bet that the rug had been pulled out from under Ai Giang’s feet when he was least expecting it.

Chi Lian would not spare Ai Giang the humiliation, he deserved it.

Muyang was sleeping deeply with his head on her laps so she could post without worrying.

The mighty little peep star: [Out with the old and in with the new. In a surprising ambush, City bank prepares to welcome new forward thinking president Ai Qi, the handsome younger brother of long term disgraced thieving president Ai Giang Lu. The aristocrats continue to entertain us even more than those in the entertainment industry, please celebrities step up your game.]

She shared a video of a furious Ai Giang throwing his expensive black coat on the ground and kicking it across the smooth tiled floors of the bank headquarters in the capital after the board meeting ended as he cursed loudly.

Then, he tried to fight Ai Qing and security had to grab him.

The thing she shared was a picture was of the smiling board members lined up and shaking the hands of a young Ai Qi, the the thirty three year old president and favorite child of the matriarch.

The comments were swift, as usual and the post was quick to travel because City bank had branches in three other empires in Asia.

Fire baby: [I will say it again, thank you peep star for the great work you do, goodnight.]
