Chapter 659: What a scary woman

She left Yan Daya’s room before the nurse could find her and she went to the office of the director who was expecting her immediately.

Director Jia who was in charge of the sacred heart hospital was a robust middle aged woman. She was shorter than she appeared in her pictures on the hospital website, coming to around five foot by Chi Lian’s judgement. She wore round overly large prescription glasses over her eyes and her black hair was tied up in a loose pony tail.

She was a professional doctor before taking over the hospice which is why she also wore a white doctor’s gown consistently.

Chi Lian sat across from director Jia in her office and she crossed legs, and then she took her off her sun glasses as well. The aura she exuded was that of woman who meant serious business.

Director Jia on the other hand was more friendly and carefree, slightly nervous even as evidenced by the slight tremble in her hands when she offered Chi Lian a cup of tea.

"No thank you, its too hot for tea." Chi Lian told her. She also pushed the cup slightly forward. "Maybe I could trouble you for some water."

Director Jia immediately left the office an returned with a bottle of water and a glass on a small tray. Her sectary who worked in the smaller office next door took the cup of tea away.

"I hope I didn’t waste your time madam, I know that every little second is important to you. You run a very big news company, and you have a sick husband to take care of." Director Jia bubbled.

"A sick husband!!! Hahaha." T4 laughed. "It’s enjoyable how much everyone is buying this sick Muyang story we concocted."

She ignored T4 and looked at her watch, it had been thirty five minutes since she arrived at the hospice. She was now entering her working time.

"Director Jia, I will make this brief, I will include your hospital on hospices that receive yearly donations from the women’s High tea society. I can also offer free publicity for the hospice, prop you up and sell you to the media and aristocrats. You could be one of the one stop hospices in the empire for the rich."

Director Jia smiled more and more with every offer that Chi Lian made. These things would all make her look good, sacred heart would gain a bigger reputation. She would be able to cement her position at the hospice as long as she could prove to the foundation that she could bring in benefits.

"Thank you so much madam, I wonder how I can be of help to you in return. Unless your generous heart has decided to help us out of goodness alone."

"You are a smart woman, I have looked into you and that’s why I am here. What I want is simple, full access to my friend in ward 5B whenever I want. I need full time excellent care for her, round the clock. Two nurses that take turns so that she is never left alone. I need women who cannot be tempted by money or threatened by other factors. If you do not have them, I can bring in my own. I will be bringing in my own security to guard her, day and night." She reached into her bag and brought out a paper that she handed over to director Jia. " This is a list of her family members that I do not want to have access to her. When they show up, sedate her or give them an excuse, just make sure that any of them does not go close to her. As a matter of fact, if anybody other than myself comes to visit her, I want to know because I will be the one to approve or deny their visit. If she falls ill, I want to know and I mean all illnesses including an ordinary cough or cold. Nod your head if we are together."

Director Jia nodded eagerly. "Yes madam,"

"Great." Chi Lian reached into her bag again and this time, she handed director Jia a bank card and another small piece of paper which had a password.

It seemed to director Jia like this wealthy madam had come well prepared.

"There is ten million on there, two is yours, eight is for the hospital. If you misuse it I will know and I will make you vomit every last cent." Chi Lian warned her coldly.

"Ye_, yes madam." She mumbled.

Again, Chi Lian reached into her bag and brought out a phone that she handed director Jia. It was black sleek phone with no identifying markers of any brand on the market.

"Use this to contact me with any information or emergencies. Also, don’t ever attempt to threaten me with this business because that will be the last thing you ever do. Other than that, I look forward to working with you." She stood up, nodded once at the director and left the office.

Director Jia followed after her, almost running to keep up with her and she persistently escorted her all the way to her car.

As the car drove away, director Jia continued waving until if faded from her sight.

Her secretary showed up and peeped over her shoulders. "Director," she said. "Is that CEO Chi, the one who owns phoenix?"

"It’s her." Director Jia confirmed.

"Why was she here?" The secretary asked.

"To give us a big gift, sacred heart has made the women’s High tea society list of charity. We will be getting donations annually, I can finally achieve my dream of expanding the hospice." The director answered.

"Eh, congratulations director." The secretary bowed and said loudly.

Director Jia smiled proudly, stood straight with her hands behind her back and she walked back into the hospice with a new spring in her step.

But, deep down, she was thinking, "What a scary woman that madam Chi is!!! Nobody in the empire doesn’t know about the matter between her husband and that patient Yan Daya. So why would she call a woman that had been trying to seduce her husband and apparently caused his plane to crush her friend? It was obvious that she was keeping her husband’s mistress here and prolonging her pain until death. She was not the only rich madam from a prominent family to do this. Others locked those mistresses away in institutions for the mentally insane. But none of it was her business, she had her own ambitions to care about.’

"Director, you are smiling so much, are you in a good mood?" One of the nurses asked her loudly as they passed by each other in the long corridors.

"Yes, it’s a good day." The director answered. In fact, it was shaping up to be a good year.
