Chapter 602: The old madam is full of surprises

The next day, very early in the morning Muyang and Chi Lian went running together, and then they sparred for one hour outside in the field. As always, their sparring was a big source of entertainment for their guards who were itching to join in. While they got poor quality serums, Muyang and Chi Lian had drunk high quality one and when they sparred, it almost like they were watching a movie on supernatural humans with extraordinary abilities. Every punch, kick or leap was very powerful and enviable.

After sparring, the couple relaxed for a while, laying down on the ground, breathing laboriously as they watched the sky. The fluffy white clouds, the pale blue sky and the few birds that passed by were watched like one does a movie.

Sometime when they cooled down and their breaths evened out, Chi Lian randomly said, "I used to like the name Moon."

"Hmm," Muyang tilted his way and looked at her.

"I thought that maybe if we have another child, male or female, we could give him or her the name Moon." She elaborated.

"Jun Moon," Muyang tasted the name out and shook his head, "I don’t know, it doesn’t sound good."

"That’s because we know a bad man named Moon so the name would not sound good anymore. I can’t believe grandfather distributed the Yan’s to take down to everyone but me when I have been very central in this operation." She had more abilities than they knew and in her opinion, she should have been assigned Yan Moon.

"Do you want another child?" He did not latch onto her complaint about being side lined in this plotting and take down. She had been doing so since last night. He asked her a different question, one that would get her mind off that issue.

She rolled over, and plucked a blade of grass from the ground randomly and put it in her mouth.

"Don’t do that, it’s unhygienic." He pulled it out of her mouth gently and threw it away.

"Not now," she said. "I want another child, maybe, but not now. We have three children in the house at the moment and as they grow we will have to divide our attention between all three equally so that they can grow up to be nice, kind, focused and good adults. If we have too many children at once we might not do a good job at balancing our work and home life. I don’t want our children to be raised by maids and nannies, I have seen some of the families in the courts who do this and most of those children are spoiled rotten. Little Monk needs a lot of our attention, even his psychologist said it, he has attachment issues. Mei-Mei is also clingy, and the psychologist stated the same thing. Having another baby right now will make them anxious so, let’s wait for a few more years before coming back around to this topic."

"I think you are right, and if you ever want us to have another child, it will be your choice on this matter, I will do as you say." Whether they only raised the three they had or added, he did not mind, as long as they were together.

"What plan do you have for Yan Daya?" she curiously asked. It had been on her mind last night.

"It’s a plan which will require the use of your submarine, can I borrow it for a week? You said it cannot be detected by any other radar in the world so far, right?"

What could he possibly be thinking? Was he going to kidnap and imprison her? she asked herself.

"What’s mine is yours, as you always say, the submarine is yours to use at anytime. I will give you the captain’s contact and you can message him directly."

"Thank you, wife, I don’t want to fill you in on my plan just yet, it’s my turn to keep secrets. If you know, you might not agree with it." he jumped up and reached his hand down, to pull her up.

She went around and hopped onto his back, "I am too lazy to walk back to the house." she claimed. "Strong brother, please carry me."

"Brother!!" he said with laughter in his voice.

"Mmm, brother," she said coquettishly, "Your back is so warm brother, you are big and strong."

"You sound silly sister Chi." he said and laughed.

"Brother Jun, do you have a girlfriend?" she asked in a voice that she teased him.

"No." he said. "No girlfriend."

"Really." she pinched his ear gently, "Really, really."

"Mmm, I have a wife." he replied.

"Oh," she said so dramatically, and collapsed against his back as if she suddenly had no bones or strength in her body. "Brother Jun, how can you be married, what about me? You said you liked me, boohoo!!." she fake cried for a few seconds and then she laughed at herself.

If Muyang’s friends could see him now, carrying his wife on his his back and being a willing participant in her silly games, they would laugh at him. Tao Yichen took advantage of every opportunity he got to remind Muyang that he married a young wife.

An old cow eating tender grass, is what most of his friends said about him, especially because she would have been twenty when the twins were born.

Muyang shook his head and asked her, "Is this what my grandmother is teaching you?"

"Why are you accusing our innocent grandma of things she has no fault in, hubby, no brother Jun, grandma is not as dramatic as you think."

Just as she declared that fact, they entered the house and found the old madam in a work out outfit, lugging a dummy whose face was pasted with Yan Daya’s picture to the patio.

They followed her slowly to see what she was possibly up to.

They clearly saw her hand it over to Zhangye who hung it up on a hook and then the old madam stretched before proceeding to rain uneven punches on the dummy.

"Oh good Lord!" Chi Lian burst into laughter.

"You were saying," Muyang’s tone clearly dared her to recapitulate her statement that his grandmother was not overly dramatic.

"I was wrong." Chi Lian assented to his judgement. "If I were Yan Daya, I would run in the opposite direction if I see your grandmother coming."

For some reason, Chi Lian found herself laughing after she said that, in her head, she saw the old madam punching Yan Daya in the nose and causing her to bleed.

For a while longer, they stood in place and watched her vent her anger on the dummy, even the butler and nanny Fang came over to look.

The butler looked worried, probably worried that the old madam would give herself a heart attack or throw her back out by doing this. Why was nobody stopping her?

"Zhangye, bring me nunchucks." Muyang heard his grandmother ordering.

Zhangye’s eyes widened, it was one thing for her to slap and box the dummy but to use weapons on it, the kind that could possibly hurt her, no way. Young master Jun would kill him.

"Old madam_, we don’t have nunchucks." he lied through his teeth with an innocent smile on his face.

"Then, bring me a small knife." the old madam replied. She was old, not blind, this Zhangye trained with nunchucks every night right here in the patio, the maids had been whispering about it, laughing silly.

"No, grandmother, no weapons." Muyang saved Zhangye when he said this.

"Then how will I deal with this snake?" she pointed to the dummy.

"Here," Chi Lian said loudly and held up a sharp nail filer, "Just rip her face off."

One dared to use lethal weapons on the dummy and another dared to provide weapons, Muyang sighed. Two peas in a pod, is what they were.
