Chapter 569: The devil with ten thousand eyes.

It was six in the morning, he had not worked out and yet Zhangye could feel himself start to sweat as he waited for young master Jun Muyang to reply. He watched the young master flip the newspaper slowly, and take a sip of coffee from the precious green porcelain cup slowly. ’Say something.’ he thought anxiously. He was relieved when Muyang put down the newspaper and looked directly at him.

"Do you know that there is a man called Dai Zhangye who died on his way to a courthouse last year? My wife was visiting this town at around that time, scouting land for her lab."

Zhangye refused to portray any nervousness or fear. The young miss had not left any evidence behind he was sure. Dai Zhangye was dead and buried, he was someone else now.

"How is that connected to me young master?" he questioned confidently.

"It’s not," Muyang answered, and he touched the rim of the cup slowly, "I hope there will be no more prison visits unless they are done anonymously in a disguise no can ever see through. If you cannot adhere by the rules of my wife, I do not mind getting rid of you to keep her and my family safe. You can always hand in your resignation if you want, a man with your skills can find a job overseas."

"I am not leaving the young miss, she trusted me and she gave me an important task. I will remember your advice always." Zhangye replied. Why would he leave this cushy job and awesome new life. After spending years fighting for his life, he preferred this simple living now.

Muyang picked up his news paper again and he looked away from Zhangye, "Then we have an understanding, you can go." he said.

Dai Zhangye closed the door of the bedroom he was sharing with Spider and he fell on his bed with trembling legs. Everyone knew the devil Jun Muyang was smart but this was too smart. Did he have some kind of cheat code which did calculations and analyzed things for him?

Even his long time friend a prosecutor and keen observer had failed to recognize him when they met but young master Jun spoke with conviction. He knew who he was, there was no denying it. But, did the young madam know that the young master was aware? It was a good thing he had repaid that favor so no more visits to the prison. The rest would be taken care of by a lawyer he asked old tiger to hire for him secretly.

"What’s wrong with you? Did the young master find out that you have been hitting on the young miss’s new employee in her tea shop?" Spider curiously asked him.

"No," Zhangye mumbled, "But that’s not a crime, we are not forbidden from having relationships."

Spider snorted, and he went back to doing press ups on the floor.

At the table where Muyang was, his brother Ringo showed up, fully dressed and ready to leave. "Ouuh, if it isn’t my little brother, the modern day Indiana Jones who found a treasure worth billions or trillions." he teased.

Muyang raised his right eyebrow at his brother and he scoffed, "Let’s go, I was informed that our meeting with the emperor was moved up although I don’t know why you are attending."

"Maybe it’s because I am his cousins son, like you. Or it could be the fact that I am good at my job." Ringo bragged and threw his right arm around Muyang’s shoulders forcefully.

Muyang sighed, knowing that he could not get rid of that arm at the moment. Ringo had always been way, the harder Muyang tried to get rid of his arm, the harder he held on. "You are awfully chipper." he commented. "I take it that your marriage is going better than I thought."

Ringo smiled and then he chuckled in a silly manner. ’He looks like cooper right now.’ Muyang thought.

If Ringo could hear his brother’s thoughts, perhaps he would squeeze his arms around his shoulder tighter for being compared to his golden curly haired golden retriever.

"I have been on a high lately," Ringo let go of Muyang’s shoulder and hit an imaginary baseball in the air with an imaginary bat. "I have hit a lot of balls out of the park at work. I think Cherry might be my good luck charm."

"Mmm-hmm." Muyang replied. "How was Paris?" They left the apartment building and were driven to the helicopter landing pad five minutes away. They would not be driving to the palace but flying there.

Once they got on the helicopter, Ringo finally replied to Muyang loudly, "Ah," Ringo smirked, "You saw the pictures, right? We looked so good together. I guess you were not the only one to enjoy a cool vacation, we did not discover any gold but we bought some gold jewelry. I brought you an authentic Pequignet watch. Aren’t I the best brother?"

Muyang rolled his eyes and closed them to avoid talking to his brother that was overly talkative today.

"By the way, will the triplets be there?" Ringo poked him insistently in the shoulder and asked.

"I don’t know who is going to be there." Muyang shrugged.

"Oh come on," Ringo looked at his brother curiously and added, "You are Muyang, the devil, the one with ten thousand eyes. Nothing ever escapes you."

"That’s ridiculous!" Muyang replied with a playful sneer, "Have you ever seen such a human being?"

"Mmm," Ringo pointed at Muyang with a smirk on his face.

Muyang slapped the finger away and looked outside, keeping his eyes on the clouds rather than his foolish brother. But Ringo was in a more talkative mood than Muyang anticipated.

"How did you find the ship wreck?" he asked.

It was so loud, they had to shout in order to hear each other clearly and yet his brother would not quit.

"Read historical books sometime." Muyang replied with his own smirk.

"Aish," Ringo answered and he extended his body away from Muyang finally, giving his brother the space he craved so much for. But when this meeting ended he would grill him for more details.

They were directly dropped off in the palace and escorted to the strategy room which was private to only the emperor and his closest allies. But today, there were no allies, just the members of the royal family and a few highly trusted and carefully vetted leaders of the army and police.

Muyang and Ringo were the last to arrive and then the doors to this bunker whose location was known to no more than twenty people in the empire were closed.

"Let’s begin." the emperor said.

Three hours later after the meeting, the attendees left through secret routes, unnoticed by place guards. Muyang and Ringo did not need to hide since they were relatives of the emperor.

While they were walking out of the palace, Yan Daya came hurrying from the crown princess’s quarters and planted herself in front of Muyang, acting as if she had been in such a hurry that she did not see him.

"Oh," she placed her hand over her chest and smiled, "Young master Jun, I did not notice you because I was in such a hurry."

"That’s okay." Muyang replied stonily, and he stepped to the side to leave. This woman never had any good intentions and the naked desires in her eyes to possess him were always crystal clear.

"Young master Jun, wait." Yan Daya raised her hand and attempted to hold his hand but Ringo was faster in pulling Muyang’s hand away.

"Miss, my brother is a married man and my sister-in-law is a very jealous woman. I would not want her to misunderstand the situation." Ringo told her with an apologetic look on his face. But deep down, he was thinking, ’what a snake.’ She could not have been more obvious in her attempt to touch his brother. What did she want now?
