Chapter 559: Mmm, yummy, dinner

Chi Lian suddenly guffawed and she burst out laughing at his sudden declaration. It was not even a suggestion but a declaration.

"Think about it honey, we do not need to have a big wedding with thousands of guests. Okay, maybe we can do that later but first, let’s have a small intimate wedding with just our closest friends and families here on the submarine."

"Hubby_"

"No, no," he stopped her, "I am not yet finished. "Just picture this, you in a beautiful white gown or hanfu wedding dress and me in a white suit, standing somewhere, I don’t know where yet but I know we have a killer view." he pointed to the view of the sea outside the large windows. "The venue is free, I mean you own the submarine, it’s expensive as fuck!!" He touched his ear, giggled silly and said, "Sorry, language, I know."

"Don’t worry, the kids are not here." she assured him.

"But what I am saying basically is that we have the world’s most beautiful hotel at our service. The best way to honor this submarine is to have a wedding that will be talked about for centuries. You can check the internet and see. I don’t know anyone that has ever been married under water. And think about the wedding night." He spread his arms wide, nodded and looked at her with her mischievous glint in his eyes. "Eh, me and you, alone in the bedroom with the full view of the ocean_"

"And all the fish watching." she added.

He stopped talking, stared at the curious fish which were already swimming around various parts of the large windows, either trying to get a glimpse of what was inside or trying to move the large annoying chunk of metal which was blocking their way.

"Well, the fish have very small memories, they will not remember what they see anyway. Besides, what are they going to do? They can’t ogle at our human bodies." his mind was made up. They would have to get intimate in the full view of the sea.

"Well, there could be a cannibalistic fish thinking, ’mmm, yummy, dinner and it has no clothes on so it’s ready to be eaten."

As she played her words back in her mind, she started laughing, and so did he.

"What, are you shooting an animation?" he chuckled some more.

"No, I just think fish have weird eyes." she responded. "Look I am sold on the idea of a wedding on the submarine. Visually it’s attractive and we can all have fun as a family together. I am also sure our kids will love it, especially our son. But intimacy with the fish watching is creepy."

"We were intimate in a tent at_"

She made loud chicken noises because she did not want him to continue on with what she considered to be one of the most idiotic things she had ever done.

"We are never repeating that." she stated seriously. "Your mother was sitting outside!!! I don’t even want to discuss what I am beginning to suspect is a voyeurism kink of yours. Let’s just go meet the captain as we discuss the wedding you want us to have."

He was so ready to meet that captain and grill him with all sorts of questions about how the submarine functioned.

"Please do not rip up anything because you want to figure out how it works like you did with the RV I do not want to die in here." she reminded him with a very real plea in her voice.

Her Muyang had a habit of taking things apart, studying them and figuring out how they worked. Little monk had decidedly picked up that habit from his father. Chi Lian found it frustrating at times because it was hard to have nice technology gadgets if they were going to be broken apart before she got to enjoy them. Example in point was her automatic massager which she often used when she was in the office. She brought it home once and little monk broke it apart. He did not even open it but he stomped on it in frustration because his tiny hands could not open it.

"Not even a little bit." Muyang said softly, he went as far as to attempt to pout.

"No." she said sternly. "Not one nail, pin, hinge, screw or whatever else went into the building of this submarine. Please hubby touch not a single thing."

"What if..." he tried to bargain despite the feeling he had that this was a losing battle.

"No." Chi Lian wagged her finger. "I have some toy submarines, maybe you can open those ones but not this one."

"Okay." he nodded. "Does the submarine come with weapons?"

"Mmm," she nodded, "It has all types of weapons including missiles for defense, a shield which will block attacks from other vessels, weapons and anything on earth that could be a danger to those inside. It cost a lot of money to build this submarine there was no way I was going to leave it’s safety lacking. So, hubby, if the royal family ever has designs on my submarine, tell them to prepare at least eighty billion minimum."

"Is that why you always insist on all your technology being distributed in different companies and you get royalty fees."

"Yes," she sighed and looked at him pitifully, "Hubby, I often need a lot of money because I invest in big things like this. Speaking of money, one of the professors in my lab has finally cracked the code on universal artificial blood. You know that blood transfusions are one of the most common procedures performed in hospitals. Everyday in the world, hundreds of liters of blood are donated and many of them are used up but the risks associated with them are many. We finally have a substitute for blood that eliminates all risks, embraces everyone despite their blood type or religion and if it spreads wide there will be no more need for blood drives or pleas for donations."

"So what problem are you facing?" he inquired.

"The international science committee for all nations has to approve of all medical inventions and medicines before they go into circulation. We have failed to be approved, we were told that it would not pass without a proper published paper and we did that. Then were asked to wait for two weeks for a final evaluation but it has been four weeks of silence. I get this feeling that they are giving us the run around while someone on the inside tries to recreate the results." She had failed to identify the specific individual because over one hundred people sat on that committee, every empire or kingdom had a representative on it.

"Do you need me to look into it? I know at least five people that sit on the committee." Muyang wanted to tell her that while the committee was a good idea in the beginning, it was slowly infected with the disease of extreme patriotism. Some members did not want to see another country succeed ahead of theirs. What they did not realize was that this left a gap for profiteers to steal, cheat and make money at the expense of human life.

She grabbed his arm and smiled, "See, I knew you would have a connection hubby. Nobody should mess with me because I have the world’s strongest husband. But you are still not tampering with the submarine.
