Chapter 441: Mo Rang’s escape.
In another part of the city old tiger had come along with three trucks, five men and two police officers to move the things from the shop. The policemen had been told that they were here to secure donations that were being sent to different orphanages in the city.
The shop was still closed so they were standing outside, waiting for Mo Rang who old tiger had confirmed was alive, okay and on his way.
The three trucks were parked on one side of the road in the market and they drew the attention of different passers by.
"Did someone make a big sale?"
"Has someone received a big customer?"
Different shop owners asked different questions and they prompted their employees to clean the goods, make them extra shiny so that they could draw the attention of the big buyer.
"Televisions for sale, smart tv’s with a guarantee of two years." one clever shop owner started shouting like a vendor on an pen market.
On seeing this, others quickly followed,
"The best cups in the entire, the quality is similar to that used in the royal palace."
"Refrigerators, buy one and you will never buy another one in your life."
Old tiger chuckled because he knew what they were up to. Unfortunately for them, today was not their lucky day they would not be purchasing anything.
"Here he comes," Squirrel pointed at Mo Rang. And Mo Rang when he arrived and saw the trucks looked joyful and he searched for Chi Lian’s face.
"Over here, " old Tiger approached Mo Rang and showed him the receipt which proved the sale.
"Isn’t she here, the woman who bought everything?" Mo Rang asked.
"She is busy, these are all donations to different orphanages so you don’t need to worry about anything. We will help you pack up and move everything."
"Alright." Mo Rang was eager to get this done and leave immediately.
"What about your creditors?"
"They will be here in twenty minutes, where is the police?"
Old Tiger pointed at two officers that were standing behind the trucks engaged in conversation with each other.
Mo Rang sighed in relief, he felt more confident now. "Follow me."
Up they went, to pack up things and move them to the trucks. While three people parked, four people moved everything out.
The owners of the neighboring shops looked on in envy. They gathered outside of his shop at a small distance away and watched things being moved one after the other.
"Mo Rang is really lucky, where did he get this big customer from?"
"It’s really true that one experiences good things after a bad season. Last month he could hardly sell a battery and now he has sold dozens of things."
"We should go and help, maybe the big customer will see what good people we are and buy from us."
With that idea in mind, three shop owners acme over and offered to help. "Mo Rang, your long drought is finally over, congratulations." one of them said.
"It’s not like that guys, I am simply changing to a cheaper shop in a village." Mo Rang lied.
The helping hands stopped n hearing that there was no big customers. Two of the shop owners left and only one stayed behind to help.
"Don’t mind them, you are right to do what’s best for you. It’s not wise for you to continue paying rent when you lack customers. But to be honest I for one think that their is something weird about your situation. We don’t rake in millions everyday in this line of business but we also don’t make zero sales a day. Have you looked into your situation at all?"
Mo Rang clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. "Maybe the Feng shui of this market just doesn’t agree with me." he said.
But deep down he knew that it had to be those loan sharks that had done something. The only way to drive up his debt was to make sure that he could not pay it.
Old Tiger received a text on his phone and he texted back. "They are here." he told Mo Rang. "I hope you have the money ready."
"It’s here." Mo Rang showed old Tiger an envelope filled with two million yuan cash.
"Then sit at he counter and wait for them, "We will keep packing."
All of the men who came to pack were part of their group and he trusted them to do a good job. Even the two police officers downstairs were part of them.
Within five minutes, two thugs arrived, dressed nicely in suits but the visible parts of their bodies were show casing tattoos. The way they carried themselves and the way they appeared would immediately alert others to what they were.
They entered the shop as if they owned it, one of them stopped in the door way and jumped up and down, smearing traces of dirt on the welcome rug.
"Oh, Mo Rang are you going on a trip?"
"You even moved out of your house, do you want to hide from us?"
"Mo Rang is this how you treat your friends?"
They taunted him with their words, and tried to frighten him.
"I am paying back my debt right now, before you do anything funny just know that I am recording this entire meeting. " He pointed up to where his phone was standing. "If you try to take the phone just know that I invited some police men over because I am donating all these things to the needy and moving to a village to farm. If you still want your money I want the contract."
Right on cue, the police officers came in, looked around and pretended to be keeping an eye on the donations and helping the men pack.
"Is everything okay?" one of the police officers passed by and casually asked.
"Yes officers, we are just concluding a business transaction." Mo Rang replied with a smile. "Isn’t that right gentlemen?"
"Yes, yes, it’s a business transaction." one of the thugs answered.
"I am waiting for the contract but they are dragging their feet. " M Rang added.
The two thugs looked at Mo Rang with angry looks, almost wishing that they could strangle him.
One of the officers slapped one of the thugs, the one who was carrying a bag on his back. "Hurry up, all these things have to be distributed to different charities today, we don’t have to waste. We also have to escort this kind man out of the capital and drop him at the airport like the great hero he is."
Though unwilling, the one with a bag produced a document and Mo Rang looked at it and then he folded it.
"Thank you gentlemen." he pushed the envelope of cash toward them. "You can leave now, as you can see I have to get out of the city quickly. There is nothing left here in the capital for my family anymore."
When they left, Mo Rang sighed in relief and sagged in his chair. He had escaped, miraculously, he had escaped. That woman must have been an angel sent from the heavens to save him.
"Go now with the policemen, we will finish up here." old Tiger told Mo Rang.
Mo Rang jumped up, he did not need to be told twice.
