Transmigration: Lady Chi Woos The Ice cold Professor Jun -
Chapter 391: Legally married.
Chapter 391: Legally married.
It took ten minutes to sign a couple of papers, get their picture taken and walk out of the civil affairs office with their certificates.
Chi Lian was still in a daze when they stepped out of the bureau, as if she could not believe that she was now legally married. She was Jun Muyang’s wife.
"Congratulations host." T4 echoed in her mind. "I told you that he was your future husband."
His words made her think back to the previous year when she had just transmigrated over and met Muyang a few days later. T4 had declared him to be her future husband and she had fallen in love with him at first sight. It all seemed like a joke back then.
This was a dream come true for her. The ideal man that seemed so far away from her was her husband!!!
"Why are you day dreaming?" Muyang asked her. He touched her arm and pulled her in for a hug because he could see aa few tears in her eyes.
"I am just happy Muyang, very happy." she replied.
He did not know how much she had been burning with fury when she saw that Yan Daya at her engagement banquet. She could not prove it but she had this nagging feeling that Yan Daya was behind the slandering of her name online.
Chi Lian was a woman who trusted her intuition, it rarely failed her.
All night long, Yan Daya’s gaze had sneakily followed Muyang around with extreme longing. Chi Lian wanted to throw her out of the banquet many times but Lili stopped her and calmed her down. To women like that, an engagement was not a challenge because it could be broken at any moment. Even though marriages too could be broken up, this little certificate made her feel more secure in the relationship.
She knew that Yan Daya was one of the women at her engagement banquet who were hoping for it to fall through. How disappointed were they going to be when they found out that she was his wife now.
"I am happy too Chi-Chi, you have made me the happiest man in the world. Now our families can go ahead and plan any kind of extravagant wedding they want, I don’t care because you are my wife already."
He kissed her on the cheek and tightened his hug. "My Mrs. Jun, are you ready to move in with me?"
"I am ready for a honey moon." she replied.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere," she replied "As long as we go together."
"Noted my wife. I like the way it sounds, wife."
She laughed at him and he continued saying, "Wife, your husband is very happy."
"I know." she answered.
"Wife where should we spend the night?"
"Probably at your family’s house. Isn’t that the right thing to do?"
"I am so excited, my wife is spending the night with me....I want to scream aloud with joy." he said loudly. He went ahead to scream loudly and she covered her ears. "I have a wife." He announced loudly.
"You have drawn attention to us, I think someone is taking pictures of us."
Muyang let her go and he straightened the large black jacket which was covering her body. He brushed away some of the snow which had fallen on it.
Two of the bodyguards who were standing beside the fleet of cars which was parked in front of the civil affairs bureau were holding umbrellas but they could not step forward and intervene in the couple’s private moment.
"We should go back now, we have to be there when the guests are leaving. Then we tell our parents about our certificates."
"En." she replied. As they were walking down the stairs from the building she told him, "Us getting our certificates is something that was already agreed on by both families but my mother and father are going to cry."
"It’s bound to happen, their little girl is going to leave the nest. But we are not moving far, when spring comes we can construct a house on that land which the emperor gifted you. This will enable us to stay close to both of our families and when we need a break we can live at my villa for a while.
I also own two apartments at the imperial boulevard, we can hide from them if we are ever overwhelmed."
"Wow, it feels good to marry a rich man." she laughed playfully.
"I am the one who is married to a rich beautiful woman." Muyang joked back. "How should we announce our marriage to the public?"
She thought about it for a moment.
"Should we call for a press conference?" he asked.
"Too much." she replied.
"Should I put it up on a bill board in every corner of the capital city. No the empire." he asked.
But she wondered how this was any different from the press conference.
"I want to announce it the same way we did our engagement. Just a picture of my hand and yours together."
"I will follow your lead wife." Muyang replied.
"Are you going to call me wife forever?"
"Yes, because you are my wife." he replied. "I am proud to call you my wife. When we are alone at night make sure that you call me husband."
"Ho." she replied.
"That shop which sells lemon drops is on the way back to the hotel. Should we make a stop and buy some for the children?" She thought he was going to say something else about her being his wife but his attention had moved to the children now.
She agreed and the cars stopped at a shop which sold expensive sweets and candies. Wenzhe went into the shop and he bought the lemon drops.
The cars drove straight back to the hotel after that stop. A picture of Chi Lian also finally appeared online for the first time that day.
In her light blue sequined ball room gown with floral ornaments in her hair which were purchased at the Hua auction and a beautiful smile on her face, she looked like a fairy in the picture.
The picture was posted by none other than the mighty little peep star.
It was taken from outside the banquet hall just before she and Muyang left for the civil affairs bureau.
