Chapter 282: Unnecesarry Unreasonableness

She was led to anther room and the young woman entered that door first. In there were mothers and children, lots of noisy toddlers.

In the room were all sorts of things like building blocks, toys, numbers and other things. A childish exciting tune was being played from a speaker high up in one corner of the room.

Chi Lian’s eyes scanned the room, looking for the possibly the only man in the room.

"Found him." T4 announced first. "He has been surrounded by overzealous mums near the water dispenser. As the only father in the room, he was like a chicken in a flock of pigeons.

Chi Lian in turn told the young woman, "I have seen my children’s father; you can follow me and confirm my identity."

Together, they went to the corner T4 identified. Over there, around six women had Muyang boxed in while he pretended to be concentrating on nothing but his children who were building blocks.

"He looks kind of pissed." T4 commented.

Chi Lian wanted to say ’of course he is.’ These mothers were chattering insistently and asking him personal questions it seemed.

"Excuse me." Chi Lian shoved two of the women away softly but forcefully and inserted herself in front of Muyang.

"Hey what are you doing? Is this your house?" one of the women asked rudely.

"I am meeting my husband, what about you? Why are all of you surrounding my man like this?" Chi Lian asked her in return after planting her hands on her waist.

She was looking at the women sharply with disapproval in her eyes. Some of the mothers were embarrassed and they rushed away but one insisted on staying. She was acting bossy and arrogant as her eyes stabbed into Chi Lian.

"We are all parents of children in the same class, is it wrong to make friends?" she asked self-righteously.

"The children are here to make friends, parents don’t need to." Chi Lian responded, self-righteously as well.

The woman had perhaps not been expecting Chi Lian to be so stubborn and rude as well. She looked as if she had just swallowed a fly.

"Ho, some people are very unreasonable; they don’t know what’s good for them." The woman mumbled.

Her words made Chi Lian angry. This was supposed to be a fun class, not a war zone. Was this woman looking down on them? She was probably a bully in her normal life.

If she Chi Lian did not take this woman down a peg, then she was a cannon fodder in this world.

Folding her arms, she said, "I agree, some people are too unreasonable." Unlike the woman who mumbled, Chi Lian was loud. "Making friends is not by force."

Arrogantly, the woman smirked and said, "In that case, none of the other children will be allowed to play with yours. Let me tell you something, in this class my word is the law. If you don’t apologize on your knees for being rude to me right now, I will have those two bastards you call children thrown out and if they stay I will make sure the other children beat them up." She threatened loudly.

Chi Lian laughed at the ridiculousness in front of her sight right now. This was not a complicated situation, all the woman had to leave when she identified herself as Muyang’s wife. And yet this was turning into a battle of vicious words and escalating in an unexpected way.

Muyang who had been sitting quietly stood up with a very angry, sharp look in his eyes. He wanted to allow Chi Lian dominate the situation but now all gloves were off.

"What did you just call my children?" he asked sternly.

Some people had no sense of danger because the woman arrogantly shouted, "Bastards, that’s right I called them bastards. What can you do to me?"

Chi Lian touched Muyang’s arm and stopped him from reacting. "Muyang, I will handle this." She said confidently.

The commotion was louder and other mothers were starting to gather around. Mei-Mei who was easily frightened started sniveling and Muyang carried both of the children in his arms.

"Honey, take them to the car." Chi Lian told him.

To them, the safety and well-being of the children was more important than anything so Muyang nodded.

"I am coming back." He told her.

As he was walking away, the woman said, "Ha, you are taking away your little bastards like a coward. Very good, if they had remained here I would have made their lives miserable."

The woman was gloating with a malicious smile like a ghost. One would think she had accomplished something great.

One of the mother’s in the crowd approached where Chi Lian was , looked at the woman and said, "He Tien’s mother, this is not right."

"I decide what is right in this place." The woman dominantly answered.

Chi Lian wasted no time in surprising the woman with a slap. She wanted to settle this amicably but this woman could not be reasoned with.

That first slap stunned the room into silence. The second one was met with the same reaction and then the third, fourth, fifth and sixth followed.

"I dare you to call my children bastards again." Chi Lian said as she vented her anger.

By the time she was done, the woman who had been referred to as He Tien’s mother was wailing. Her mouth and lips were swollen as if she had eaten something she was allergic to.

The director of the ’mummy and me’ center rushed over with the receptionist and a guard.

"What is going on here?" she asked. She looked at Chi Lian and stepped closer to her.

He Tien’s mother immediately tried to talk but her words were inaudible and saliva was just being spit in different directions by her like drizzles.

"Madam, if I had known that parents of children in your class have to become friends by force I would not have signed up." Chi Lian told the director.

"No, Miss Chi wait,"

The owner seemed to know who Chi Lian was. Most schools, day cares and the like had a habit of investigating the background of the children in there care so that they would now who not to offend and who to take special care of.

"Wait for what, for this woman to call my children bastards again. She even threatened to have them bullied if they attend this class."

"Miss Chi please." the owner tried to talk.

"I don’t have any more business here; you can keep the money we paid for this month. And you," she looked at the woman, "This is not the end of things." Chi Lian turned around to walk away.

If the director had fostered a good healthy environment in her class, mothers like that one would not have been behaving so entitled like that. Instead one woman was running around like a queen and others were tip toeing around her.

"Miss Chi please listen..." the director of the center shouted and she run after Chi Lian but all her pleas fell on deaf ears.

Seeing that all hope had failed, the director turned around and looked at He Tien’s mother with angry red eyes.

"Tien’s mother," she said, "I have been very patient with you but you are giving me more problems than I need. You have just offended a very powerful couple and you don’t even know it. From now on, you and your son are not welcome to the center anymore. We will refund the donation that your husband gave to us."

Other mothers started whispering about what had happened. Some were narrating gleefully and others were in shock.

Tien’s mother had bullied many of them. Tien was like a little prince in the class. He had pinched many of their babies and eaten their snacks.

"Finally, justice has been served for the rest of us." one mother said.

"Yes, good riddance to them."

The director’s heart felt heavy as she listened to the murmurs but she could only blame herself for not having stepped in sooner.
