Chapter 174: Her own search for answers[2]

She went upstairs briefly to the kitchen and returned with a steaming cup of tea. She placed it on the table, and then approached the doctor.

When he saw her coming toward him, the doctor’s heart beat faster, he wondered if now the time for the torture to begin was at hand. He wanted to shout for help once more but he was afraid that any cry for help would simply irk his captor.

"Wha....what do you want?" he asked her nervously.

Chi Lian smiled like a demon straight from hell and replied, "Just a few answers doc, you don’t have to be in a hurry to talk, we have all the time in the world."

She lifted his feet, one after the other taking off his shoes and socks. She then attached a round metal ball to the sole of each foot and wrapped tape around it.

"What are you doing, stop it." He struggled fruitlessly. He was anxious and worried about the balls tied to his feet. What were they and what did they do?

"Don’t worry, "she replied softly, "Soon you will know what they do. Unless you give me answers to what I want to know."

The doctor was panting out of fear, sweat was dripping down his neck to his back, making the blue shirt he was wearing damp. And yet still he was determined not to say a word.

"I...won’t say anything." He said in terror. A few tears were running down his face.

Chi Lian took a seat opposite him and sipped her tea slowly. "You don’t even know what I am going to ask you. So what exactly is it that you are so afraid to reveal?"

"I don’t know anything," he shook his head. "Please just let me go." It was almost like he had given up.

Chi Lian smiled, leaned back in the chair and scrolled through her phone as she sipped her tea.

"Aah, good tea." She said joyfully.

The balls attached to the soles of the doctor’s feet were the devices used to create that feeling of heat during the Axel performance. Soon, the doctor would begin to feel as if his feet were on fire. As time went by he would begin to feel that burning sensation all over his body.

There was no human being who wanted to be burned alive. The doctor would talk when his fear was at the highest point. It was a mind game she was determined to win.

In the meantime, she could not help but wonder why the doctor was determined to stay silent even though he did not know what she wanted from him. What other secrets did he have?

"T4, if you can, find the doctor’s closet associates and find out what they do. Something is not quite right with him. My instincts are screaming criminal activity."

"Yes host."

Something else also struck her weird as she was thinking, the doctor seemed to have no clue as to who she was. According to the old Chi Lian’s memory, he was the doctor in charge of her procedure, so why didn’t he recognize her. Was it her brown hair or did her face change so much?

"Maybe he has worked on so many women that he only remembers the special ones." T4 told her.

"I am special." She replied offended by his words.

"Not to him." T4 retorted.

She was pissed and wanted to punch T4, how dare he imply that she was so easily forgettable. There was only one way to settle this.

"Hey, Mr. doctor." She called and when he looked at her she asked, " don’t remember me?"

"I have never met you before in my life." The doctor replied automatically.

"Ha-ha-ha, I told you, you are not one of his special cases." T4 laughed.

Determinedly, she leaned in front so that he could see her face clearly. She looked at the doctor and emphasized, "Are you sure, we met three years ago in B city at your hospital. I was nineteen, I donated my eggs and changed my mind and told you to destroy them."

"I...I..I don’t remember you." He stammered unsurely.

She scoffed and smirked, "Now I know you are lying." He had been, arrogant, determined and unhelpful ever since she met him down here. Now he was avoiding her eyes and stammering. Did he think she was a fool?

She smiled slyly and said, "Well, it’s too bad you don’t remember, because that’s why we are here. Specifically, what you did with my eggs is the reason why we are here right now in this unpleasant situation. Bear in mind that we are not leaving until I get a truthful answer out of you," she leaned back in her chair and said arrogantly, " Well I can leave but you cant, just imagine having to spend your entire life in this dark basement, eating only one bun and half a bottle of water a day. With missing teeth and nails because I will have to pull out one each day, and if all else fails, I will take an eye, then an arm, a leg. Making you a cripple for the rest of your life simply because you refuse to tell the truth."

The doctors heart quaked at her horrible description of his future. He did not want to be a cripple. He looked at the young woman before him with fear. He remembered her clearly, how come she was so different from the innocent girl he met back then.

"Your eggs were destroyed." He blurted out.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, I thought you said you don’t remember me." she said.

The doctor shook his head, "No, I was lying, I remember you clearly. You donated the eggs and then changed your mind and asked me to destroy them. We did what you asked. I have told you the truth, will you let me go now?" he asked hopefully. His feet were on fire, this woman must be planning to burning them off, he wanted out as soon as possible.

"Ha-ha-ha," she laughed mockingly, "Now I know you are lying and that just pisses me off." She stood up, walked to the tray and touched the instruments one by one casually before settling on the hammer.

She carried it off the tray and walked towards the doctor saying, "Do you know how I know that you are lying, I have a child in my house with my DNA and yet I have never given birth before. The only person to ever get their hands on my eggs was you. Tell me something doctor, what does that possibly mean to you?"

She grabbed his head by the hair and said, "This hammer goes right into your eye if you don’t talk."

Frightened, knowing that he was not here because of suspicions but she had evidence of the existence of a child, he shouted, "I will talk, please don’t harm me."
