One by one, members of the Su family found themselves in the castle anxiously waiting to check on Scarlet. It was not just family but close friends too who showed off.

Surprisingly, a few worried officials and ministers from different departments showed up as well. Under Tion and Folsom’s instructions, everyone that was unrelated was sent away with a few reassurances.

But even those that were assuring others of the governor’s current situation had no idea what it truly was.

Among them was Severus who was firmly being held on to by Tion giving him no opportunity to get away the supernatural way. Everywhere the guard moved, he carried Severus along with him.

One hour passed and everyone became more antsy.

"Why are the doors closed?" Adler folded and asked the question which was on everyone’s mind.

So far, most of them were filling themselves up on coffee, drinks, or desserts as they waited for Scarlet to invite them inside or come outside.

"Are you sure that she was not hurt?" Mega, the worried mother asked Tion who had been at the scene.

It was the fifth time this question was escaping her lips. Next to her a brooding Dorian whose arms were folded on his chest, standing with his legs apart looked at Tion as well.

"I...I...am sure." he answered.

Elroy wide round grey eyes had been focused on Tion as he spoke.

"He hesitated, mom, he hesitated. See, we should just break down the door."

"I agree." Beord said.

Adler, Beord and Elroy pulled out weapons to blast the doors open.

Carolyn sneered at her brothers and she shook her head in disbelief.

"You three idiots really love to overreact. She is in there with her husband. If she is injured, he is surely helping to treat her and they want privacy. Just sit down quietly like the rest of us and wait or find some other way to work off the excess energy you are giving off."

Markay had only arrived five minutes back as he was preparing for his coronation as crown prince. He put an arm around Carolyn’s waist and squeezed it lightly.

He knew that more than the brothers, she was the one who wanted that door to be opened. Whether others noticed or not, the truth was that she was the closest to Scarlet among the sisters.

Not a day went by without the video calling each other and trading secrets, and words of encouragement.

"I can’t take this anymore, it’s too nerve wrecking." Cecily said.

Her heart was unsettled.

"Where is Justin?" Fey asked.

He had been here with them a minute ago but now he was gone.

"Oh shit." Gregor muttered.

Mega almost chastised her youngest son for saying shit but now was not the time.

"Spread out, find him." she shouted in a worried voice.

After close to two hours, a sweaty heaving couple fell to the floor, breathing harshly as if they had just run a very long marathon.

Esong dragged her over so that she was laying on top of his body.

"Now that is the best way to work out anger and aggression." He took a deep breathe in and exhaled.

"I need some water."

Scarlet handed him a bottle from her storage space.

He didn’t even get up to drink it. He just poured it into his mouth and gulped it down. Then, he poured some on his face and it trickled down to his chest and into her hair but she didn’t even move her head.

She handed him a energy bar. It was a chocolate one with nuts. In the mixture, she had used extremely diluted spring water from Lythia’s spring. It was one of her best sellers in the underworld.

It was also one of Esong’s favorite snacks. She tried to give him the human ones and the man spat it out as if she had fed him poison.

It was the same with donuts, cakes and cookies, ice cream. Basically, everything that she sold in the underworld. She let it be because Severus said it was fine and he was not affected.

"Thank you." he said.

He took a bite and then lifted himself up and her at the same time.

He leaned against the sofa and sat her down between his legs.

Scarlet looked down before he embraced her and said, "So you are just going to sit down on your bare butt with your thing hanging out.

He shrugged, a very proud look on his face.

"It’s just us, why should I hide the strongest beast in the universe?"

Her head turned to her right and she looked at him with an amused smile on her face. The man did not have a single bone of shame in his body.

"I am sorry, the strongest what now?"

she chuckled and rolled her eyes.

"If it can make you cry out in pain and pleasure, it’s strong and it’s a beast. I said what I said. Also, are you really calling it a thing now?"

Scarlet blushed and turned her head to the front.

Of course he noticed when her face and ears turned red, burning like hot coals. His strongest beast as he had just called it twitched a bit, attempting to come back to life.

"Considering what we have just done it’s rather ironic for you to be blushing like this."

His hands trailed upwards slowly to her breasts and he fondled them.

"No," she said.

In addition to the verbal rejection, she smacked his right hand.

"Awwww." he said in a small whiny voice.

"It’s enough Esong, save something for tomorrow," she told him.

"Or tonight." he whispered in her ear.

Maybe I shouldn’t have given him that energy bar she thought. The man had way too much energy when it came to sex.

But now that she was much more clear headed, she wanted to know what was happening. With all the reporters at the scene, she was bound to be the trending news for this day.

"Alex, turn the tv on."

The medium sized screen was turned on, going straight to BSTV.

It was not time for the news but a talk show that discussed current affairs in the empire. It was hosted by four individuals, a journalist, an ordinary citizen, a lawyer and a former RGB officer.

"Minister Obley should not have said such a thing in the house of ministers. Calling those who do not have mental strength abominations is asinine. He should be prosecuted, it’s a hate crime."

So they were not discussing her at least.

"You are up next in their line up." Esong mentioned. "Zoom in on your mistress’s name Alex."

Right there, Scarlet saw her name next to the tag line: The controversial reaction of governor Scarlet on food wastage.

"You have guests waiting to see you mistress and Justin Wu is attempting to scale the castle wall. Should I open the doors?"

"He is scaling what now?" Scarlet screamed.
