Chapter 83 Stop Crying!

Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Stop Crying!

When I followed his line of sight, my body was naked before him. My two mangoes perked up at him. My eyes widened like a pan, almost bulging out of their sockets. "Pervert!!"

Out of reflex, I punched his nose. A deafening noise followed before silence ensued. But his face didn’t have any expression; it was just cold and unreadable.

Time seemed to still as if to watch the drama that was about to unfold. My surprised eyes met his stunned one. I bet he was still imagining if all this was real. He stood frozen without blinking.

I bit my lower lip, wishing the ground would open up and swallow me. I didn’t know how I did it, but the next moment I blurred out of the bathroom, forgetting what was at stake.

After I ran out of the bathroom, I quickly grabbed one of his jackets, throwing my hands inside it — at least this would cover my back. Then I threw myself onto the bed, covering myself with the blanket.

’Idiot, why are you hiding in the bed, so he can come and kill you? Get out of the bed right now, and run out of the door — in fact, run out of his territory, because I believe he is going to skin you alive before he stews you.’

I pulled the blanket down, in an attempt to run. But his figure was already marching towards me, like a brooding storm. His expression darkened, and his jaw clenched.

’Oh I’m gone.’ I cried inwardly.

I pulled the blanket over my head again; at least if he wants to kill me, let him do so. It was better than seeing the deadly look on his face.

’But why did I punch an alpha in the face? Why was he acting like a pervert? He was fucking staring at my boobs and my naked body!’

My body trembled under the blanket like I was suddenly inflicted with a terrible cold.

"OUT OF MY BED. RIGHT NOW!"

My body obeyed before my brain could process what he said. The room had dropped in temperature. -40 degrees Celsius? Or more?

I pulled the blanket off my body, jumping to my feet. I quickly bowed my head before him. ’Please, Alpha, I surrender. Ice me to stone, please, and don’t kill me.’

He walked up to my face, his face only an inch away from mine. His eyes glowed grey. At that point, I knew I was gone.

"Master..."

"SILENCE!" he yelled in my face.

He breathed heavily, his chest rising and falling like a tidal wave. He pointed to his face. "How dare you hit me on my face? On my fucking face?!"

I shut my eyes. My body had already gone numb from the overwhelming aura. He glared daggers at me, as if he wanted to rip off my hands right now.

I sniffled my cry. Tears streamed down my cheeks, my nose turning red. My lips pursed together.

"Why are you crying?..." He took a few steps back to observe if he had seen correctly. His chilling aura thickened. "I said, why are you crying?" he asked again, his voice dripping with irritation.

"I... I’m just sorry..." I sniffled. "And I’m... I’m scared you would rip my arms off." I blurted out.

He paused, as if he was processing my words. His gaze darkened more, as it brooded over me like a brewing doom. "Are you trying to say that I’m an irrational monster who goes around ripping people’s limbs off?"

’Literally... yes.’

I bit my lip; I dared not say what I was thinking.

He scoffed, before pacing around me like a predator stalking his prey. Every single step of his was slow and deliberate.

’Someone save me! He is going to kill me from a heart attack. Anyone pleasseee!’

I cried harder. My shoulders trembling, my lips quivering.

He glanced now and then at me. "I’m really mad at you, Ember." He moved closer to me again — too close, as if he was about to enter my body. His fingers held my jaw, lifting my head to meet his eyes.

"If you weren’t my pet, I would have ripped your arms off before I tear your head off your body." His voice lowered dangerously.

"Master..."

"Shhhhh." He pressed his middle finger on my lips. "Don’t utter any words if you don’t want me to rip your arms off right now."

"AAAHHHAHHHHHHHAAHHHH."

My mouth opened like a broken dam, and for the first time in a long while, I was so scared that I cried like never before. My body shook violently, then I dropped to the floor, pulling my legs to my chest.

"I want to go homeeeee. Ahhhhh. I don’t want to be here anymoreeee." I clenched my chest as if to hold the broken pieces my heart had been shattered into because of fear.

Damon stood dazed, his brows furrowed as if he didn’t just know what had happened. He pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation.

I sniffled, wiping the snot off my nose with the edge of his sleeve I was wearing. His eyes narrowed at my action, but he didn’t utter a word.

"Stop crying," he muttered. He looked stressed out.

But that just made me increase the volume. I opened my mouth wide. ’The best way to get out of trouble is to act like you are the victim. Well, I’m the victim. The punch was only an act of defense. Doesn’t he understand what defense meant?’

Damon facepalmed himself, before he squatted in front of me. "If you don’t stop crying right now, I will feed you to the dogs. Try me and see!"

Hearing his words, I swallowed all the tears. I hiccuped. But I didn’t dare to cry, knowing how unstable his brain is.

"Good girl." He raised his hand. I flinched as he reached for my head. A glint flickered through his eyes so fast that I missed it.

Then he patted my head. His movement was organised and soothing. "Don’t cry... or I’ll have to stitch those lips of yours." He hummed.
