As Scarlett was walking with a smile on her pretty face, Jayden suddenly appeared before her and stopped her.

Her smile instantly disappeared, and her happy face was replaced with an annoyed expression.

Even though Jayden could be said a handsome young man, Scarlett was still annoyed because she hated most men, especially those who tried to hit on her.

Now that she had turned into a gorgeous young lady, they always tried to hit on her.

And even though Jayden had never done anything bad to her, she still hated him because every man besides Ren was trash in her eyes.

They changed their behavior and acted nicely because she was a gorgeous lady now.

If she had not grown into a beautiful lady, she was sure they would have kept insulting her until now.

"Lady, I’m sorry for suddenly stopping you. I was charmed by your beauty, so I decided to approach you. My name is Jayden. May I know your name?" Jayden acted like a gentleman because first impressions were important to building a good relationship.

However, what greeted him was not kind or nice words, but cold behavior from her.

Scarlett hated Jayden even more after seeing his behavior and hearing his words.

"Leave! Don’t disturb me." Scarlett’s cold voice rang out.

She did not care about Jayden’s feelings and showed her displeased expression because she wanted him to leave immediately.

"Hmm?" Jayden was startled by her behavior.

It was the first time a woman treated him like that.

Normally, they would be happy when he tried to seduce them because he was handsome and rich.

When she left, he followed her from behind.

This made Scarlett even angrier because he acted like a parasite, following her wherever she went.

"Stop following me!" she stopped her footsteps and raised her voice. "Otherwise, I will scream and call you a thief!"

"Alright, alright. I won’t follow you anymore." Jayden still smiled despite getting yelled at by her. "I will wait in this market tomorrow. I hope you will tell me your name when we meet again."

Scarlett ignored him and went home.

Ren’s House, Backyard.

Ren was currently sitting under a tree.

He had just finished watering their vegetables and fruits, so he decided to rest.

’Hmm? What’s wrong with her?’

A question popped up in his mind when he saw Scarlett walking with an annoyed face.

After she sat next to him, he asked, "What’s wrong? Did someone cause trouble for you?"

"An annoying man kept hitting on me earlier. It was disgusting!" She said Jayden tried to seduce her when she was on her way home.

Ren smiled softly and said, "You are beautiful, so it’s normal."

"But I still hate it." She stated. "If I had mastered martial arts like you, I would have beaten him to death earlier."

"Haha." Ren could not help but laugh. "Alright. Let’s stop talking about him or else it will ruin your mood."

"Yes. Let’s not talk about that annoying man again." After saying that, Scarlett lay on the grass and put her head on his lap. "Ren, what do you want to eat for dinner?"

"Up to you." He responded as he caressed her hair gently. "I will eat everything you cook for me."

"Then I will cook a special fried rice for you later." She uttered.

"Un." He nodded his head.

Time went by quickly and without realizing it, it had been three days since Scarlett met Jayden.

At this moment, Scarlett and Ren were in the market.

However, they were currently not in the same place: Ren was at a rice shop while she was at a wheat flour shop.

She still learned how to make a delicious birthday cake, so she needed a lot of wheat flour.

"I think this is enough." She put the wheat flour at the bottom of the shopping bag before finally putting snacks above it.

She hid the wheat flour because it would ruin the surprise if Ren found out that she was learning how to make a birthday cake.

’Alright. It’s time to go back to rice shop.’

The happy smile on her face faded, and her mood turned bad when she met Jayden on her way to the rice shop.

"Miss, I finally get to see you again." Jayden had been going to the market every day since he met Scarlett because he still wanted to become her boyfriend. "Why didn’t you go to the market in the past three days? Were you sick?"

"Leave! Don’t disturb me! Ren is waiting for me now." Scarlett’s behavior was as cold as three days ago.

"Ren? Who is he?" he did not investigate her, so he had no idea who Ren was.

"You don’t need to know." Scarlett left him.

However, he followed her.

It was hard to meet her, so he did not want his efforts to be in vain again.

"He is not your boyfriend, right? Is he more handsome than me?" he threw a question at her.

"He is much more handsome than you." Scarlett responded, "You are nothing compared to him."

"Then, is he richer than me?" he asked again. "Just for information, I have several hundred gold coins, several thousand silver coins and more than one hundred thousand copper coins."

Scarlett stopped her footsteps and stared at him.

However, she only looked at him for three seconds before finally heading to the rice shop again.

Jayden’s lips curled up into a grin.

She did not answer his question.

That meant he was richer than Ren.

"Beauty, appearance will not last forever because our faces will wrinkle when we get old." He tried to use his money to get her.

He then continued, "However, it’s a different story for money. I don’t want to brag, but my money is enough for at least three generations. So, how about marrying me? I will spoil you and make you live like a queen. I will buy everything for you."

"Leave! I don’t want to marry you. I only want to marry Ren." Scarlett did not care about money because she was fine as long as she was with Ren.

"You only want to marry him? Lady, can handsome face give you happiness? What about living expenses? Can handsome face give you money?" Jayden tried to make her understand that no one could live without money.

When Scarlett was about to say something, a voice suddenly rang out. "What’s going on here?"
