Transmigrated Into The Body Of The Cursed Prince Wife
Chapter 75: The creep under the water

Chapter 75: The creep under the water

Though Ave had intended to fall into the river as she knew how to swim and wanted to prank the Princesses, she didn’t expect what had just happened. The moment she fell into the water, it was like an invisible force was pulling her down to the bottom of the water, where she saw nothing but darkness.

No matter how much she tried to swim back up, the force was so strong it was pulling her down. Her eyes widened when she thought she saw something move at the bottom of the water, and before she knew it, something like a creeper crawled up from the bottom and wrapped itself around her ankle, pulling her further down. Ave’s eyes widened as she saw figures like ghosts at the bottom of the river looking up at her with lifeless, hollow eyes.

"I want your body..." the ghost-like figure said without moving her mouth, and Ave’s heart began to beat faster as her lungs started to fill with water. Her body? What was that supposed to mean? She panicked and began kicking and thrusting to swim back up and away from the figure, but the more she fought the force, the faster it pulled her down.

When she was an inch from the figure, who had now reached her darkened hands toward Ave, Ave felt a pull at her hand, and without even looking, she thought it was another thing trying to drag her down. She raised her hand and hit whatever it was on the face until she looked up and saw Lucian’s hardened face an inch from hers.

Ave had never thought she’d be this happy to see his face, like she was now, and without wasting time, she grabbed at him desperately to take her away from there. His arm came to wrap strongly around her waist, and with one firm pull, she was back at the surface with no force dragging her down, coughing and trying to catch her breath while also dragging his neck as to not go back down.

Lucian swam back to the riverbank while pulling her along, his face a mask of fury as Zane helped him out of the river while he pulled Ave out with him. She immediately sat down at the edge of the river, still trying to cough the water out of her airway.

Ave had no idea what had just happened. She was a good swimmer, and the fact that she had been unable to swim back up terrified her so much. She felt the stinging pain around her ankle and raised her dress. Her eyes slightly widened as she saw the mark left behind by whatever had dragged her down.

Lucian, who was standing over her and ready to lash out at her for being so foolish and stupid, stopped as his eyes also fell on the mark around her ankle, and as if feeling his eyes, she turned her head toward him. Her large blue eyes with wet lashes momentarily caught him off guard. She pushed herself up from the ground and turned to him as if she wanted to say something but stopped when a strong gust of wind blew by them and she shivered from the cold.

Lucian’s eyes trailed down to her lips that trembled slightly from the cold before his eyes caught the action of her crossing her arms against her chest and rubbing her hands up and down her arms. She wore a dress without a corset, and dresses without a corset required another fabric inside, but to his astonishment, she wasn’t wearing the inner fabric, which now caused the dress to turn transparent, clutching to her body and showing her body outline.

He could see the outline of her breasts and could even see them through the dress that had now turned thin. Her arms crossed below her bosom did nothing to help cover them, it only pushed her breasts further up and made them the first thing a man would see when they looked at her. He felt his body reacting to the sight of them, swallowing hard as his breathing turned slightly uneven, and heat curled its way down to his lower abdomen, giving life to his manly member that had laid dormant for years but now began to rise slowly in a way he didn’t like.

The woman before him looked completely oblivious to the state she was in and what it was doing to him. She walked to stand before him, and he impulsively took a step back from her as she was messing with his mind and body.

Ave pursed her lips as she saw him take a step away from her and his expression looking like he was about to scold her. She knew what she did was stupid, and she would have lost her life if he hadn’t come in time, so she said, "I really thought I could swim, that’s why I did that. Please don’t scold me for it," she said, her voice slightly trembling from the cold as she tightened her arms around herself.

Lucian gritted his teeth, knowing he wasn’t the only male around and sure he wasn’t the only one noticing her breasts through her clothes. He didn’t speak to Ave and turned to the rest, who were now looking at them with expressions that ranged from fear to panic. And just as he’d thought, a few of the male servants’ eyes were secretly looking at Ave, whose clothes were no different from being naked.

Lucian’s temper rose at that. He moved to stand in front of her so none of them could see her, his huge frame covering her completely before he spoke, his voice filled with reprimand toward all of them, including the Princesses. "I should punish every single one of you by dipping you each in the river for twenty minutes and seeing who would survive," he said, his voice devoid of emotion, making all of them tremble in fear, with the servants falling to their knees while the Princesses looked terrified.

"I-it wasn’t our fault, brother Lucian, it was Selene who brought us here and—" Celeste began, making sure she addressed him as brother as Thalia had taught them, but when he shot her a murderous glare, she shut her mouth and hurriedly hid behind Thalia. "Y-you cannot kill us, we are supposed to be family..." she cried from behind Thalia.

If Lucian was surprised that he was being acknowledged as family by the spoiled brat who never failed to call him the cursed prince and say all sorts of things to insult him, he didn’t show it. But his eyes flickered a bit. However, after what he’d experienced at the arena and now coming here to find Ave almost dead, with her body arousing him, his emotions and mind were muddied. He turned to Celeste with burning eyes.

"You are not my family. Now all of you, leave. Get lost before I throw you all into the river!" he snapped angrily, causing Ave, who he was hiding with his frame, to walk around him and face him. "Don’t yell at them like that. They are your siblings, and you should treat them as such. They aren’t the ones who pushed me into the water, so why are you getting mad at them?" she said with her hands on her hips, causing the dress to further cling to her thrusted bosom.

Lucian was about to snap at her as well when his eyes fell on her chest again. He gritted his teeth and pulled her back behind him. "If you move from there again, I will make sure I push you back into the water and let you drown to your death," he warned in a low, dangerous voice that made Ave freeze for a moment before she spoke again without moving from where she stood.

"If I am sure that I won’t be dragged down by the creepy thing inside the water to the bottom of the water, I won’t be scared of your threat because I’m a good swimmer, jerk," she whispered from behind him, causing a vein to throb on his forehead. But he couldn’t lash out at her yet, so he did it at the rest.

"What are you all still waiting for, a special invitation to leave, or do you want to know the feeling of being in the water? Leave!" He snapped at his half-siblings, who quickly began to leave but stopped again, hesitantly turning to him.

Thalia was the one to speak. "We don’t know our way back," she said. They hadn’t followed a clear path to come here as they’d gone in circles. She had no idea which road they had even used to come here.

Lucian glanced toward Zane, who was still standing to the side, minding his business while lazily swirling a stick in hand. Without the need to speak, Zane understood what the prince meant. He walked toward the Princesses and bowed slightly. "Follow me, I’ll lead you back."

Thalia’s eyes momentarily brightened up as they would be following a man she admired, but when her eyes fell on his bruised body and tattered clothes, her eyes widened slightly, and she asked before she could stop herself, "W-who did this to you?"

Zane was taken aback by her question as he raised his head and met her gray eyes that were regarding him with genuine concern. When he saw her raise her hand as if to touch the bruise on his arm, he stepped back and cleared his throat. "Let’s go," and began to lead the way without answering her question. He had no reason to answer her when it was her brother who’d beaten him.

As they left, and all the servants had also fled for their lives, Lucian was left alone with Ave. He didn’t even turn to say anything to her as looking at her would only pull his attention somewhere else, and he had no coat to offer her. He began to walk away, and as expected, she hurridly followed after him.
