If the people really just cleaned up the zombies and left, then the first floor would still have some zombies from outside.

However, even though it was open, the first floor doesn’t have any zombies at all.

So if the people didn’t just leave, then it’s highly likely that there were indeed people living in the building who would regularly clean up the zombies.

"Just as I thought, that might really be the case. Then, we should be more careful in case there are really people living here," Astrid said while sweeping the floor.

"Yes, but you guys don’t need to worry too much.

We won’t be going out of this apartment while it’s raining, and we would only go out after the rain stops.

So as long as no one bothers us while we are here, then there won’t be any problem," Luciel said while taking out his phone to watch something.

They don’t have the drive to go out of the apartment and look for trouble for themselves, so as long as no one takes the initiative to bother them, then they could certainly stay inside peacefully until the rain stops.

After seeing that he wasn’t interested in talking anymore, Astrid and the others continued while talking among themselves.

After the others finished cleaning the apartment, Luciel brought out the things they needed, like bedding, toiletries, and food.

Luciel also decided to just use three bedrooms.

Austin and Owen would use the first bedroom.

Astrid, Bella, and Violet would use the second room.

And he would use the third room.

He also went to their rooms first and put some vines on their windows.

He put some of them there because it would be easier for him to detect if something or someone destroyed the vines that he put there for warning and protection.

Afterwards, he warned everyone to immediately go to his room if they discovered a problem.

He warned them to be vigilant in their own way because they don’t know when something would suddenly happen.

When it was getting dark, Luciel also brought out rechargeable lamps and a portable power station.

After they had a simple dinner, everyone went to their own room to rest. Before going to his own room, Luciel covered the door and other windows with vines as a layer of protection.

When he entered his own room, he immediately went to their space to wash up.

He took a bath immediately and didn’t dare to soak for a long time.

Before going out of the space, he checked if Treyton left something, but he didn’t find anything.

He also checked their supplies and saw that the numbers still stayed the same apart from the things that he took out.

So, Treyton probably didn’t have any time to enter their space yet.

Well, if they found a good place to stay in, then he could probably receive a reply from Treyton.

As Luciel suspected, Treyton indeed hadn’t had any chance to enter their space.

Treyton was very busy for the past few days, so he couldn’t even get away from the others to enter their space at all.

When the strong earthquake happened, Treyton was at the front leading the others in killing a lot of mutant and zombie fish that were coming to them.

When he heard the dog barking and saw the agitated fishes, he had already become alert.

The other people with him also became alert, but they just didn’t expect that what followed was a very strong shaking.

If they weren’t strong enough and if the others hadn’t held the others, some of them might have fallen off the ferry.

Treyton clearly saw Luciel falling off the ferry together with the kids he saved.

Thankfully, the reaction of Luciel was really fast. He was able to create a protection box for all of them within a very short time.

He also heard what Luciel said before the rectangular box made of vine was carried away by water.

As soon as he saw them getting away, he really wanted to catch up to them.

Unfortunately he knew that he couldn’t do it because he still had to protect the ferry they were in.

While he was controlling the metal with the ship to have a metal cover to protect the ship, Jane came running to where he was while carrying Theo.

Jane clearly gave an instruction to Theo, so he brought out some metal in front of him.

The ship that they were in was still shaking and tilting here and there, so Jane even used her ability to stabilize herself and some of the people on the deck.

Jane also used a vine just like Luciel, but her output was obviously slower than Luciel’s.

With the additional metals that Theo brought out, he managed to cover their ferry with metal.

At least with the cover they won’t have to worry about being thrown out to the lake.

But only their ferry was covered with a layer of protection, so Treyton still opened a part of the cover and looked at the original location of the other ferry.

Treyton saw that the other ferry still wasn’t that far away from them, and Yang and the other water users on the other ferry were trying to control the ferry so that it wouldn’t be carried away from the waves.

Treyton also saw that Zam was trying to freeze their surroundings so that they wouldn’t be too affected by the water waves.
