Chapter 244: Chapter 243: Staying in the park
After taking out food, he took out a few bandages and some common medicines, like medicines for colds and for treating injuries.
Then, he took out some clothes for them. He just took out some of the clothes that he and Treyton gathered.
The clothes probably won’t fit properly, but they’re still usable for them.
He made sure that the number of goods that he took out was just enough to fill their bags.
After he chose the things that they had to put in their bags, he also took out some weapons for them.
The kids don’t have any weapons with them, so he had to give them something to protect themselves.
He gave them two daggers each; they could hide 1 dagger inside their bags and use the other as a weapon.
He also gave each of them a suitable glaive that Treyton had left in their space.
When Treyton had been training his metal ability, he also made a lot of weapons. He made a lot of glaives, daggers, and other things.
The team doesn’t need a lot of those things because the things he made wouldn’t be easily destroyed.
However, Treyton didn’t melt back the weapons that he made and just put those things in their space so that if they were needed again, then he could just take them out without needing to make them again.
So, there are still a lot of weapons in their space. Of course, it isn’t just cold weapons; there are also some guns and bombs, even though their numbers are smaller than the cold weapons they have.
But even though there are guns in their space, he didn’t give them to the others as weapons because it isn’t cost-effective.
The sounds of guns are really loud, so if they used them, then they would just be attracting more zombies to where they were.
After giving all those things, he instructed them to arrange the things he brought out and put them in their bags.
"By the way, do you guys know where we are?" Luciel asked after the kids finished arranging the things he brought out.
He really wasn’t familiar with the place where they were, so he had to ask the others so that they could go back to the north base.
"Big brother, the park that we are in is in the southern part of the lake," Astrid answered.
"So, we just got further from the North Base?"
Astrid nodded.
Luciel brought out the collection maps they had and picked out the map of the north region and asked, "Where are we?"
"This is the lake, and we are here," Astrid said while painting at the southernmost area on the map, which was really far from the north base.
The place where they crossed the lake was still near the north, so now they were swept farther from their original destination.
"Then let’s wait here for 2 days and try to see if we can find a speedboat or something."
When he looked at the map, he knew that it would take them several days if they wanted to travel north by car.
So, it would be better if they could find a speedboat or anything a bit similar. If they used a speedboat, at least it wouldn’t take them several days to reach the place where the ferry was supposed to go in the morning.
They also had to at least wait for 2 days so that the situation would be more stabilized.
At least they shouldn’t encounter aftershocks anymore, or at least they would only encounter them just a few more times.
In the next two days, they only stayed in the park.
Luciel widened the tent so that they could at least have enough space for them to sleep.
On the second day that they stayed in the park, they felt another 2 aftershocks, but at least the earthquake isn’t strong anymore.
On the third day, no aftershocks occurred anymore.
On those two days, they didn’t just stay in their tent but started cleaning up the zombies that went near them.
At daytime, Luciel just watched them deal with the zombies and didn’t deal with any zombies.
Of course, even though he didn’t do anything, he still watched them so that if they really encountered a zombie that they couldn’t deal with, then he would help a bit.
Fortunately, they didn’t encounter many zombies in the park they were in, and the zombies that were present were just enough for the kids to train themselves.
At nighttime, he would only ask the others to watch the situation for an hour for each of them.
And he also told them that if they saw zombies coming towards them, then they could just wake him up so he could deal with those zombies.
So, every night, Luciel was the one dealing with the zombies that would stray to where their tent was.
Of course, he would only deal with the zombies that really got close to their tent.
If there were zombies farther away, he would just ignore them as long as they didn’t get close.
Those zombies would be dealt with by the kids after they woke up.
Before eating breakfast, the kids would have their morning exercise first by dealing with the zombies that were a bit closer to their tent.
The kids trained themselves to cooperate properly so that they could properly deal with the zombies.
When facing level 2 zombies, all of them would cooperate so that they could easily deal with 1 level 2 zombie.
When they were facing level 1 zombies, they could already deal with it on their own, but it would still take time, so most of the time they would still cooperate with at least 1 person so that they could easily deal with the level 1 zombie.
As for dealing with a level 2 zombie, they would need the full effort of two people, but it would take a long time if there are only two people dealing with the level 2 zombie.
