Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega -
Chapter 37: I have taken quite a liking to you
Chapter 37: I have taken quite a liking to you
I stared at him, waiting for an answer.
"Well," he nervously – if you can call it that – chuckled. "Okay, I was looking for you." He smiled, looking more like a human than a frosty Alpha. For a moment, I saw a bit of warmth flash through his eyes before it returned to how it has always been— cold and frosty.
"You were looking for me, why?"
Fan stayed behind me, giggling and making fun of me, but I ignored the stupid system. He might have grown and gotten a bit wiser than he was when he was in his animal form, he’s still the same stupid system I met on the day I transmigrated into this comic.
"I was saying the truth when I told you that I wanted to be friends with you, Brys. As a new principal, there are some things I don’t know about this school. I need someone familiar with the school to help me out. And you Brys are the right candidate for the job." He gently smiled at me, making me blush from embarrassment. It seems like he’s gradually trying to shed his coldness.
"I’m afraid; I’m not the appropriate candidate for the job. I haven’t been here for long. Others can help you."
It’s not as if I’m the star of the school or something like that. I doubt he would have known about me had it not been for Storm, who helped me during the game. The game was what boasted my popularity. a
"But I don’t want them, Brys. I have taken quite a liking to you. You are not like other Omegas. There’s this special light you have." He smiled kindly – not any less predatory, mind you – before he tugged me towards the teacher’s hostel. If any of the students around saw us, none batted an eye at that.
"Have a nice time with your principal, Brys. I’m going over to mess a bit with that handsome Alpha with an orange smell." Fan waved at me before he disappeared.
Bastard!
I gritted my teeth, infuriated with the stupid system I was unlucky to have. The principal dragged me towards his room the moment we reached the teachers’ dorm. There was no teacher in sight — similar to when I came over for the ’interview’ yesterday.
"When I was posted to this place, I thought it will be like my former school, but it turned out to be better."
I know he was likely expecting me to reply to those words or ask what the name of the school he worked in was, but I’m just not in the mood to entertain anyone. I just need to have breakfast with him and run away – as far away from him as I can afford.
He unlocked his door and ushered me in before he closed it. "Welcome once more to my humble abode, Omega. I hope you like it here?" he smiled at me.
I stiffly nodded, not ready to say a word. I walked over to a couch and sat down while he went over to what, I assumed, was his kitchen. There was a bit of noise in there before he appeared with a tray of food and a smile on his face.
I frowned when I noticed he had removed the shirt he was putting on earlier. Though he’s not naked, there isn’t much difference between the two. The singlet he was putting on did nothing to hide his pronounced muscles. It’s evident that he works out.
Though Alphas are naturally muscular, his seems a bit too much. He winked at me when he noticed that I was staring at him. I blushed and turned my head to the side, suddenly feeling shy. I gulped as I tried to think of a way out.
I can’t have him staring at me that way. It made me feel like a kid caught with a cube of sugar in his mouth.
"Was this the room the former principal lived in?" I glanced around the room, eager to find something to take my mind off the Alpha and the knowing smile he had on his face.
"No, this room hasn’t been occupied since this school was built." He dropped the tray of food on the table in front of me before he sat next to me on the couch. I froze, not batting an eye as I gulped.
He didn’t seem affected. "This room was built with the intention of using it as the teachers’ meeting place. However, the teachers back then chose the room on the second floor. That’s also where the former principals lived. Do you wish to check it out? I can take you there after breakfast," he offered. He sounded like he wanted me to take him up on the offer.
"It’s okay; I don’t want to see anything. I was just curious," I gave the meal on the table a look before I glanced up at the principal, who was still staring hard at me. His gaze made me feel self-conscious. I furrowed my brows and gulped.
"Let’s eat then," he gave me one of the plates with three slices of bacon in it. "I haven’t had time to visit the market. These are all I can make." He gestured to a steaming cup of tea, "I brought this with me. It’s stronger than the ones served here," he winked.
I stared hard at the slices of bacon on the plate, and the steaming cup of tea, before I took a bit of the bacon. My eyes widened at the burst of flavours. I licked my lips as I slowly chewed on the one I took a bite of.
Wow!
This is so unlike any I have ever tasted. Not even the ones I’ve had back on Earth can compare. This is freaking delicious.
"How is it? Do you like it?" he asked with his eyes locked with mine. He looked anxious to know what my answer will be.
I nodded, "hmm, it’s delicious. Better than the one the cooks make."
He nodded with a smile, "then, let’s eat." He took a sip of his tea before he took a bite of his bacon – with his eyes still on me, and a playful smile on his face.
