Chapter 95 - 17 Special Advisor
Chapter 95: Chapter 17 Special Advisor
Fushimi Roku kept staring at the door at the end of the dance hall. He noticed Kaga Keido immediately and had a bad feeling that his slacking off was about to be caught, so he made a quick escape to the restroom.
He squeezed through the crowded people and was groped by a gang girl who almost had her hand in his pocket. Just as he managed to break free, three stressed-out female office workers attempted to hug and nibble on him... Fushimi Roku found being too handsome rather troublesome.
By the time he finally reached the restroom door, his pocket was stuffed with notes, all left by unsatisfied mature women and sisters with their phone numbers.
Fushimi Roku washed the lipstick off his face in front of the mirror, pulled out the notes and shook them into the trash can. Then he inadvertently caught sight of a ten-thousand yen bill among them—someone had written their phone number on the bill, a rather unique conversation starter.
He bent over to retrieve the bill from the trash, contemplating whether he should get himself a phone or something.
"Ah... harder... just there..."
The stall door was banging. Fushimi Roku glimpsed six feet through the gap while picking up money, indicating there was someone pushing in the back.
He planned to act as if nothing happened and leave the restroom after Kaga Keido. Unexpectedly, the noise inside the stall grew louder, making him, someone who usually wouldn’t feel embarrassed, start to feel awkward.
Less than two minutes later, someone else entered the restroom. The man, wearing a big golden chain, was initially stunned by the noise from the stall and, under Fushimi Roku’s surprised gaze, jumped in place and peered inside the stall.
"Hey! Truly shameless! I’ve taken pictures! If you don’t want the photos leaked, pay a hush fee!" he bluffed with a wicked grin.
There was a scream from a woman and the noise of getting dressed from inside the stall. Seconds later, the restroom door swung open, and a man came out with his pants up, revealing koi fish and sakura tattoos on his chest and a gun in his waistband.
"You must be loaded to play with such pretty women, right? Just two ten-thousand yen, and I’ll give you the negatives—"
Before he could finish, the tattooed man grabbed his golden chain and smashed his head against the sink. With a dull thud, his face split open, his nose broken and blood smeared everywhere.
He screamed in pain, blustering feebly, "Do you know whose territory this is?! How dare you cause trouble here?! You’re finished! Someone help—I’m being attacked—"
The Yakuza guards, hearing the noise, rushed in and shut the door behind them. The golden chain man, finding his support, pointed accusingly at the tattooed man and said, "It’s him! I came here to have fun, but got beaten up..."
Before he could finish, he saw the Yakuza bowing to the tattooed man, greeting in unison, "Honorable Head."
The ’sama’ suffix in Japanese is a highly respectful form of address.
The golden chain man looked doomed, while the tattooed man let go, leisurely fastened his belt, and said, "You may take pictures of me, but Rinka and Rina are decent girls... Now hand over the negatives, and I’ll let you off this time."
"I-I didn’t take any, didn’t even have a camera... Just joking around..." the golden chain man stammered defensively.
The tattooed man put on his black shirt, buttoned up, and casually asked, "Hey, the guy over there, did you see him taking pictures?"
Having watched the whole scene with interest, Fushimi Roku was suddenly asked and responded nonchalantly, "I saw it."
The tattooed man snorted coldly, grabbed the golden chain and beat him, "How dare you lie! You scoundrel... Still arguing? Your mouth is indeed tough..."
Seeing the golden chain man’s eyes roll into unconsciousness, the tattooed man finally let go and had his subordinates search him. Turning on the tap, he washed off the blood on his hands and eyed Fushimi Roku through the mirror’s reflection, "Sorry for scaring you... Is this your first time here? Tonight, we can give you a fifty percent discount."
"Are you the boss?" Fushimi Roku asked.
"A shareholder," the tattooed man flicked off the water, took out a business card from his pocket, and handed it over, "I also have a shop in Shinjuku. If you’re interested, you can apply there. Your type is quite popular now, earn some money while you’re young, don’t waste it."
Fushimi Roku accepted the card, glanced at it, the front read "Ishii Takamasa" with pronunciation notes, while the back stated the title "Special Advisor of Tokyo Inakawa Corporation", along with a line of phone numbers, adopting a minimalist style.
It’s no wonder mafia bosses can make big money; even after a toilet brawl, they’re still mindful of recruitment. This entrepreneurial spirit would thrive even in a legitimate company. Fushimi Roku nodded, indicating he would consider it seriously, and took his leave while the Yakuza were still searching the body.
Fushimi Roku crossed the dance floor, got groped again, rendering his earlier lipstick wash futile. By the time he returned to the bar, his zipper had been pulled down by a woman.
He cast a glance, noticing Kaga Keido hadn’t left, and Kazama Tatsuya was watching with a schadenfreude grin.
Fushimi Roku quickly zipped up his padded jacket, leaned against the bar, and said righteously, "I investigated just now. The shareholder of this nightclub is Ishii Takamasa, a special advisor to the Inakawa Association. We’ll need to pay special attention to this person during our negotiations."
Finished, he feigned surprise, turning to Kaga Keido, "Investigator Kaga, what a coincidence to see you here! Let me introduce my instructor, Mr. Kazama."
Kaga Keido remembered this little patrol officer. He initially intended to ask why Fushimi Roku was here as well, but upon hearing words like ’investigation’ and ’negotiation,’ he instinctively directed his gaze towards Kazama Tatsuya.
The latter, unable to bear it anymore, snapped angrily, "This is what you call ’having a sense of proportion’?"
Fushimi Roku looked innocent, "Didn’t you say Senior Watanabe is innocent? If so, no need to hide it, right?"
This directly hit the mark, leaving Kazama Tatsuya with no retort.
Upon Kaga Keido’s follow-up question, he had no choice but to disclose the truth, explaining in passing that the cute, bouncing JK girl’s heart-shaped cocktail earlier was definitely not ordered by him.
"Yes, I ordered it for the Senior," Fushimi Roku said with an expression of bearing the burden.
As Kazama Tatsuya explained away, he felt like tearing his mouth apart.
Kaga Keido, jotting down key points quickly in a black notebook, casually lamented, "Toyota District Police Station really are a bunch of good-for-nothings, not reporting crucial information like this... But trying to pin the Inakawa Association just based on a tattoo is far too tenuous, the court might not issue a search warrant."
Kazama Tatsuya clearly understood that if they go through proper procedures, he might never see Watanabe Shun again in his lifetime. Fushimi Roku, timely adding a word, said he had been advising Senior Feng not to come, yet Senior Feng was set on his ways, leaving him no choice but to accompany with his life.
Hearing this, Kazama Tatsuya’s face turned as red as a tomato.
Before he could expose Fushimi Roku’s petty tricks, the kimono-clad hostess approached, bowing slightly to the three and gestured invitingly:
"Gentlemen, please follow me."
