Thriving in the Beast World -

Chapter 569: Chapter 570: The Elusive Truth
Yadang kept reminding himself not to listen to Luo Bu’s words, as they were clouding his mind. Don’t listen to him, don’t listen to him!
Yet those words, like threads, seeped into every crevice of his brain, impossible to ignore!
"Shut up! Shut up!"
Enraged, Yadang fiercely slapped Luo Bu, instantly causing him to spit blood, mixed with two white teeth.
Their argument eventually alerted the Beast Soldiers.
The squad leader of the Beast Soldiers and his team came forth, not knowing what to do at the sight before them.
"This..."
Struggling, Luo Bu began crawling toward the squad leader, while pointing at Yadang, shouting unclearly, "Blind him, quickly blind him!" "Kill him, quickly kill him!"
Yadang gave the Beast Soldiers a cold glance, then sneered at Luo Bu, "It would be too easy to let you die like this, wouldn’t it?"
With that, he emotionlessly wiped his hands on a leaf, then with derision, tossed the leaf onto Luo Bu’s face, and strutted away.
Luo Bu was almost driven mad by Yadang!
But he himself was no match for Yadang, so he vented his anger on the Beast Soldiers instead.
He forcefully kicked the squad leader of the Beast Soldiers, "Idiots! You’re all idiots!"
Luo Bu attempted to slap the squad leader again, but was interrupted as the squad leader seized his wrist.
Luo Bu stared at him in shock, "You... you dare to resist?"
The squad leader coldly replied, "The priest is an honored guest of the Lord. We were told to treat him kindly. If the priest has nothing else to do, he should stay in his quarters, lest others take offense at him and want to beat him up. We won’t be able to help you then."
The squad leader had a rank smell and stubborn attitude, much like the person himself.
In fact, the squad leader had been annoyed with the priest for quite some time. He was more than happy to see someone put the priest in his place.
Luo Bu was so angry he trembled, his eyes rolling backward as if he were about to faint.
The squad leader was also fed up and casually waved his hand, "Someone escort him to the doctor’s place, his presence brings bad luck."
Soon, two Beast Soldiers escorted Luo Bu away. The others, having nothing else to do, gradually dispersed.
Once everyone had left, Keli, his face inscrutable, jumped down from the tree.
He had been following Luo Bu since the latter had left, originally wanting to see why his good priest had suddenly left so late at night. Who would’ve guessed he’d overhear something?
Yadang was adopted?
Yadang wasn’t Ayue’s cub with another Beastman? But Ayue had truly been pregnant with a cub, where did that cub go?
According to Luo Bu, he seemed to have known for a while that Yadang was not his cub. Why didn’t he say anything before? Why did he keep it from him?
Wasn’t Luo Bu involved with Ruhua? So, what’s going on between him and Ayue?
Keli looked contemplative. He remembered Yadang affectionately calling him ’dad’, apparently Yadang didn’t know he wasn’t actually his cub.
Then...how disappointed must he have been to choose to leave...
Keli’s heart was a tumult of emotions. He used to really love Yadang, even more than he loves Yali now!
So when he learned that Yadang chose to leave, he was distressed over it for quite some time.
