This Is Not the Female Demon Lord I Remembered -
Chapter 287 - 278: Is This a Dragon Ball?
Chapter 287: Chapter 278: Is This a Dragon Ball?
"Don’t be fooled by its quiet behavior here; that’s only because I have set up several formations within the hall to stabilize the void, preventing it from jumping around at will. Otherwise, catching it again would be as difficult as ascending to the heavens."
Seeing this thing gives Zi Xuanbu a headache; it took a great deal of effort to capture it initially.
After learning about the whereabouts of the Wandering Secret Jade unexpectedly from a disciple, the Purple Cloud Sect mobilized over a dozen Sixth Realm servants and Seventh Realm elders, and even roped in Bo Tiandao, the old man visiting the Purple Cloud Sect, to help laboriously.
It still took a three-day and three-night relentless pursuit to capture this Wandering Secret Jade, which would vanish without a trace if not watched.
In fact, the sect had an extremely detailed plan for the use of the Wandering Secret Jade. It could greatly enhance the protective and concealment capabilities of the sect’s formation. If successful, it could even surpass Bo Tiandao’s Sect Protection Array.
Unfortunately, all those plans were buried with the destruction of the epoch, and the Wandering Secret Jade became sealed within the Treasure Vault.
Looking at the Wandering Secret Jade, Zi Xuanbu couldn’t help but be reminded of past events, feeling a sense of melancholy.
Next to the Wandering Secret Jade was the Carefree Mystical Iron; compared to the former, this piece of metal was much more ordinary—a plain, milky white iron block.
"Ptui ptui ptui, at first glance, I thought it was a White Rabbit Creamy Candy, meow!" Lord Orange, driven by cravings, inexplicably went over and licked the Carefree Mystical Iron.
The taste of rust immediately made Lord Orange wrinkle all his features together and instantly summoned water with a spell to frantically rinse his mouth.
Looking at the iron block, which showed no sign of mystique, Liang Yi wondered if Elder Zi had taken the wrong item. After pondering for a moment, Liang Yi lightly touched the Carefree Mystical Iron with his finger.
[Carefree Mystical Iron]: A naturally formed divine iron of the world, combining the shattered Heavenly Dao and the willing power of all beings’ expectations, unique in the world. It can be used as any material during forging and can imbue the crafted item with a trace of the miraculous as desired by the forger’s heart.
"What’s this? A wish-granting ore?" Liang Yi was puzzled by the description on the interface; forged from the shattered Heavenly Dao and beings’ expectations of willing power, it was also unique in the world, meaning there couldn’t be a second piece apart from the one before him, right?
Moreover, it’s like a panacea among ores, one could mistake it for a lubricant without knowing better.
This wishing ability seems forcefully overpowering, too. The idea of bestowing a trace of expected mystique is worth exploring.
Liang Yi harbored a bold idea in his heart, wondering if it would be possible for a Sword Spirit to exist.
Although the magical treasures of the Mystical Mechanism Continent can develop spirituality above the First-grade level, Liang Yi had never seen or heard of a weapon becoming sentient, at most being able to communicate normally with a cultivator.
For instance, his master’s [Taoist Collection] and the [Mind Illuminating Thousand Lamp Sword] of the Sword Cleanse Heavenly Pool both indeed have Sword Spirits within them, capable of exhibiting supreme combat power even without a human wielder, not inferior to a peak Great Cultivator.
Similarly, the Purple Cloud Sect’s Big Cave Fetal Breath Lamp and the Taihua Xiyi Bell also contain sentience, just that after the long erosion of time they were currently dormant. After a period of rest and recuperation, Liang Yi should be able to hold simple conversations with them.
Upon seeing the Carefree Mystical Iron, Liang Yi’s first thought was to see if it would be possible to forge a "Sword Maiden."
Just thinking about it was thrilling!
Su Youyi followed suit and poked the ore that resembled both tofu and milk candy with her fingertip.
"Carefree Mystical Iron?" Su Youyi paused. Just by touching it with her finger, these words naturally emerged in her mind.
"If you hadn’t mentioned the Carefree Mystical Iron, I would have almost forgotten that the Purple Cloud Sect had one of these things." Zi Xuanbu chuckled.
This piece of Carefree Mystical Iron had been with the Purple Cloud Sect for who knows how long; they only knew its name, clueless about anything else.
They had thought about trying to forge it into some kind of magical treasure, but no matter what they tried, they couldn’t melt the cursed lump of metal. Surely they couldn’t just carry raw iron around to bash people with, right?
So this mysterious meteorite, known only by its name, without other known details or recorded history, had just been left to collect dust in the sect’s Treasure Vault until now, when it finally saw the light of day again.
It’s fortunate that Carefree Mystical Iron can’t talk, or else it would surely curse out this group of fools. Being the unique and divine iron of the world, dumped in a corner for so many years—who would be pleased with that?
"Does the Sect Master know the use of this divine iron?" Zi Xuanbu asked with some doubt, as even they in the Purple Cloud Sect hadn’t figured out its purpose after so many years.
"I was fortunate to hear a senior mention it. He wasn’t certain of the existence of this divine iron, it was just a similar rumor." Liang Yi couldn’t reveal his system interface, so he had to lay the blame on that senior swordsmith.
"It might be a change of epochs, what was once unknown may not be surprising now. It seems I’m guilty of old-fashioned thinking."
Zi Xuanbu pondered thoughtfully, realizing that he couldn’t afford to look at the current Cultivation World with old perspectives, lest he suffer a big loss.
"Senior Brother, are you planning to craft a Magical Treasure?" Seeing her senior brother casually put two first-grade immortal materials into the Storage Ring, Su Youyi asked, puzzled.
"Hmm... Something like that." Liang Yi’s tone was vague as he planned to surprise his junior sister later. There would be no excitement if he spoke of it now.
"Oh?" Su Youyi looked at her senior brother’s seemingly sincere eyes, which somehow seemed suspicious no matter how she looked at them. Could it be that her senior brother had another cat outside? Was he planning to gather materials to craft a magical treasure for some little vixen?
Under his junior sister’s intense gaze, Liang Yi tugged at his collar, his eyes flitting about restlessly, feeling a bit hot and at a loss for words.
"You said... collecting these materials was for repairing that broken sword, meow?"
At this critical moment, the Grandpa Orange, who seemed to receive Liang Yi’s mental waves, made a brilliant appearance to save the day.
"Oh right, I was indeed planning to try and see if I could repair that damaged sword." Liang Yi’s eyes brightened as he nodded repeatedly, and his eyes became more sincere.
Hearing this response, Su Youyi didn’t think too much of it; she had indeed thought that her senior brother was collecting materials to repair that damaged sword.
After seeing that damaged sword last time, she thought it would break in the next second, but it managed to hang on by a thread thanks to the warming nourishment from its scabbard which had transitioned from illusion to reality.
Now that her senior brother had so many rare and precious immortal materials from all over the world, it shouldn’t be a problem to repair that damaged sword.
"Since everything is ready, does that mean you are leaving now?" Elder Zi Xuan looked on cheerfully from the side. Even though he could tell that Liang Yi was collecting these immortal materials for some other purpose, what did that have to do with him?
"Yes, we’ll set off for the Complete Heaven Sect now. The sect will be in Elder Zi’s care."
After finishing the discussion, Liang Yi estimated that it was about time, so he turned and bid farewell to Zi Xuan.
"Elder Zi Xuan, take care of your health." Su Youyi also smiled softly, bowing and saying goodbye to Zi Xuan.
"Meow meow meow!" Grandpa Orange was already impatient; he just wanted to hurry out and have fun.
Zi Xuan smiled and nodded, waving goodbye to Liang Yi and his group. Whether they were at the sect or not didn’t really matter; going about their own important business was the priority. Next time the Sect Master returned, Zi Xuan planned to reveal a completely revitalized Purple Cloud Sect.
Liang Yi did not choose the Purple Cloud Sect’s flying magical treasure; instead, he continued to use his junior sister’s Floating Cloud Ship—after all, the Complete Heaven Sect wasn’t actually that far from the Taoist Sect.
Youdao Mountain of the Taoist Sect and the surrounding territories were located at the junction of the power spheres of the Complete Heaven Sect, Sword Cleanse Heavenly Pool, and the Immortal Dynasty of Xuanzhou, bordering Snow Mountain, so it wasn’t far to go to any of these influential powers.
Due to Su Youyi’s seasickness, Liang Yi was still controlling the Floating Cloud Ship, and Su Youyi was currently "dispelling" her dizziness by hiding in Liang Yi’s embrace.
Yet, in Grandpa Orange’s eyes, Su Youyi’s acting was simply terrible, full of flaws. A Fifth Realm cultivator getting seasick? I’m allergic to air! thought the cat disdainfully.
But it seemed that Liang Yi was still too immersed to notice; snuggling up together as soon as they boarded the ship—this made Grandpa Orange furiously jealous!
This dog couple was simply bullying the cat too much! If he, little Grandpa Orange, couldn’t enjoy the pleasure of snuggling with other lady cats, then they shouldn’t expect to have it easy either!
Grandpa Orange leaped between the two, glaring with dead fish eyes without speaking, just staring intently at Liang Yi.
"What’s up?" Liang Yi, a bit helpless, asked seeing the big round face that suddenly appeared before him.
"I want to take a dump, meow!"
"Then go take a dump, why are you looking at me?"
"Of course, after taking a dump, I need you, my litter-shoveling officer, to clean up, meow!" Grandpa Orange stood tall and confident as he answered.
Have you ever seen a house cat that deals with its own poop after doing its business? Isn’t this the duty of a litter-shoveling officer?
"Don’t get too ahead of yourself," said Liang Yi, releasing the hand that was holding his junior sister and grinding his teeth as he pinched Grandpa Orange’s face, performing a "pancake kneading" maneuver.
This darn cat thinks he’s the boss?
"Meow meow! Meow meow?!"
Grandpa Orange was not one to take a loss; he instantly tussled with Liang Yi. They were both at the Fourth Realm—who was afraid of whom?
Su Youyi watched with amusement at the childish scuffle unfolding in front of her— one person pinching a face, one cat biting. If somebody else knew that this was the Banished Immortal’s leading disciple and the Demon Clan’s Young Master fighting, their jaws would drop, wouldn’t they?
Lightly lifting her hair that was stirred by the gentle breeze, a large patch of white clouds conveniently blocked the somewhat glaring sunlight, casting a cool shade over the entire Floating Cloud Ship. A refreshing wind brushed her face, causing Su Youyi to squint comfortably. It also made Grandpa Orange and Liang Yi, who were tired from the scuffle, to stop and lie down on the deck to catch their breath.
"Ah, how comfortable!" Grandpa Orange’s orange fur swayed with the wind, looking quite supple. Such an adorable sight made Su Youyi’s eyes light up, and she couldn’t resist but start stroking the cat with her little hands.
The only imperfection was seeing a few whiskers missing from Grandpa Orange’s mouth. It looked a bit comically out of the ordinary.
