This Is Not the Female Demon Lord I Remembered -
Chapter 181: Please be sure to check the shelving comments and update issues!
Chapter 181: Please be sure to check the shelving comments and update issues!
I’ve been writing this book for nearly three months, and with nearly 400,000 words, it’s gotten incredibly plump—it’s time for my bookshelf buddies to take it out and butcher it!
The book is about to hit the shelves, with the scheduled launch time being [tomorrow at 12:00 noon]. There might be a few minutes’ delay due to System lag!
I never expected that, with the support of all you readers, I’d make it this far. It’s quite emotional.
As a newbie, this is my first book; previously, my best achievement was only a second-place university essay contest. In the blink of an eye, I’ve become an online author with so many readers supporting my work; it’s beyond my expectations.
It shocks my whole family! (For real)
This book was inspired by Super Mechanic, a series I’ve been following since its debut from Pepe A, and Ji Cha’s Way to the Dusty World along with Youtiao’s First-grade Cultivation novels made me decide to write in the fantasy genre. As for why I chose light novels, it was the editor Xiao Yuan’s compelling speech about their genre, deeply influenced by the driving skills of the kindergarten boss.
This is the backstory of creating this book.
As for the plot and such, it’s entirely crafted from my own writing outline combined with ten years of reading experience.
Originally, I wanted to write about a naive junior brother secretly in love with a beautiful senior sister, especially since I’m quite familiar with this experience, except that I confessed to my senior and failed when she graduated...
Later, during a period of sorrow, I watched a lot of must-see dramas for tough guys, and after revisiting the Little Buried series, I decided to change the senior sister to a cute younger junior sister.
As for some adverse comments that have existed since the book began, I don’t really care. Some people will like it, and others will hate it; some think it’s original, while others see imitations. As long as the remarks aren’t too extreme, I will keep them and hope everyone can bring up reasonable and rational suggestions to make this book last longer.
Initially, this book was performing really poorly, with barely a couple hundred subscribers when it hit tens of thousands of words. It’s like that for newcomers, counting each subscription day by day until now when I’m finally ready to launch it.
But my editor, Xiao Yuan, didn’t give up on me and continued to give me quite a few recommendations, plus the support of all you book friends that has brought me to where I am today.
So, I really want to thank all the book friends for their continuous support, really, thank you so much!! Without each of your subscriptions and every ticket, there’s no way I could have come this far, thank you once again!
And thank you to every big shot who tipped me, it gave me great confidence in my writing, showing me that there are people willing to invest in the things I write.
Especially the lord Orange Eats Tangerine, the first Stern Master of this book, that 10,000-point tip straight away shocked me. Thank you! And another Stern Master [Book Friend 20200313075820749], who tipped on their first visit to my book, I thank you here as well!
I’ve seriously read every comment and every discussion from every book friend. You read the book I write, and I read your comments. I show you my fantasies, and you show me your silly jokes.
Thank you all!
Now that we’ve reached this stage, I really hope this book can be fully written down, presenting the story in my mind exactly as it is to everyone.
So, [requesting initial subscriptions]!!!
[Requesting initial subscriptions]!!!
[Requesting initial subscriptions]!!!
[Requesting initial subscriptions]!!!
[Initial subscriptions] are really, really, really super important for a new author like me and for this book!! Please, I’m begging you!!
This is the dark moment before breaking out of the cocoon to become a butterfly. It’s either success in turning into a butterfly and seeing the light or failing to break free from the cocoon.
Whether you’re reading on QQ or have come across this book through other channels, after reading this passage, I earnestly ask you to subscribe on [QiDian’s client]!
The initial subscription is directly related to the survival of this book. High initial subscriptions lead to better future recommendations, and it boosts the author’s passion for writing, directly reflected in various aspects of the book, such as updates!
So, I ask for initial subscriptions!! It really doesn’t even cost a dime!
Since the backend statistics only include subscriptions from QiDian’s client, no matter where you saw this book, please come support this humble author on QiDian!
You can also meet all kinds of silly book friends in the comments section—it’s a steal!
Plus, if you subscribe and tip in [other channels], the author [does not receive any benefits]!
It only costs a dime, less than the price of a lollipop, but it’s the source of the author’s motivation! Please, I’m begging you!
Finally, let’s talk about updates after the launch.
There’ll be a minimum of five updates on the launch day!!
One more update for every 1,200 initial subscriptions! For every extra 400 subscriptions, one more update, no ceiling.
(So, if you all work together, wearing me out is no problem!)
One more update for every 100 monthly tickets.
One update for each Stern Master tip, three for Sect Leader, and five for Alliance Hierarch!
Updates will be made on the same day if possible, otherwise, I’ll continue adding updates daily until we catch up!
The five updates on the day of the launch are just the baseline and don’t count as extra updates!
I know many book friends may still be students, so I won’t insist on much tipping. For those friends who have the capability and enjoy this book and the author, I’m grateful for your tipping, thank you and bow deeply to you.
For students who are temporarily unable, don’t force yourself to tip. Maybe just hit a small subscription button on QiDian; after all, a subscription costs just a couple of cents, right?
Three months, nearly 400,000 words free, except for the real love from some book friends who tipped, I haven’t earned a single cent from this book, genuinely spending three months to write for you all for free.
Even some book friends can barely continue reading because there are few books purely powered by love on QiDian, and those that exist are from people who are not short of money but are pursuing their dreams. Normally, writing from pure love ends because the author goes broke, and I am not wealthy at all.
When the author can’t even pay rent from the manuscript fees, how many will persist in writing? So many book friends have urged me to launch because it’s about survival.
It’s 2020, awareness of genuine copies is continuously improving, society is becoming better, and I truly hope that my book friends won’t go straight to pirate sites the moment the book launches. I understand if you can’t afford to tip, so I won’t insist, but turning around to help pirate sites suck the author’s blood seems a bit too much, doesn’t it?
I know many book friends are students and not so wealthy, but after reading for so long, is it too much to take out a few cents to support such a hard-working author? I really don’t want this book to fail until I can’t eat, and have no place to live.
So, I’m seriously asking for a few cents to support the genuine version, not asking for much tipping, just your subscriptions!
Love can’t sustain writing; only subscriptions can last deep and long!
Brothers, this time, can you [definitely] do it?
