This Is Not the Female Demon Lord I Remembered -
Chapter 128: Sending a Message
Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Sending a Message
"Why is that?" Su Youyi was bewildered, wondering why her master would create these two highly specific sword techniques.
Liang Yi’s eyes shone with brightness, he finally understood how his junior sister from his past life was able to precisely determine whether someone was from the Devouring Spirit Sect. She didn’t even need to draw her sword, just circulating the sword technique within her body, and any reaction would prove the other person’s identity.
"Could it be that master had a grudge against the Devouring Spirit Sect before?" Liang Yi made a blind guess.
"I haven’t heard about any grudges between the Banished Immortal and the Devouring Spirit Sect. The only thing I know of is that half a year ago, the Azure Dragon’s right envoy had his Immortal Path severed by a single strike from the Banished Immortal. He who could have broken through to the Seventh Realm had spent an extensive effort over the past six months just barely clinging to life."
Wood rubbed his fluffy ears, feeling a bit gloomy.
He was different from the other Devouring Spirit Sect members whose Divine Souls were bewitched. Others would only take orders and show no interest in anything else.
But he was an exception; probably even the Devouring Spirit Sect hadn’t expected that a demon, not confused after their mind wasn’t bewitched, would happily stay and work for them.
They were such a villainous group, yet someone treated them like a free diner. Who were they looking down upon?
Liang Yi looked towards his junior sister. His memories with his previous life were not yet perfectly merged, so he could only wait to see if his junior sister knew anything.
"I have also not heard of any vendetta master would need to specifically guard against. Usually, it’s master who is targeted, and seniors Fang and Zhou even like to join forces against him." Su Youyi furrowed her brows in thought for a long moment, genuinely unable to recall any enemy her master may have had since they had joined the sect.
"It doesn’t matter, if it’s not something from recent years, then it might be something even further back. Master might have his own reasons for not telling us."
Liang Yi gently stroked his junior sister’s hair, smiling and comforting her.
Neglected to one side, Bai Xiaomo and Ju Xiaobei walked over, rubbing their bottoms that were almost broken into eight pieces, and glowered at the leopard, Wood.
Wood, on the other hand, swished his tail, his face full of leopard confusion.jpg.
Ju Xiaobei felt a little dejected, sensing that his value had decreased. The big shot, a faithless lover, had relied only on him before, but now he had other ’dogs.’
Fortunately, the mission was not cancelled, and he could continue to fleece them.
With a signal from Liang Yi, Wood continued to carry Bai Xiaomo and Ju Xiaobei, one in each hand, following the pace of Liang Yi and Su Youyi.

"Chief Ke, shall we try to form a sword array and see if we can create a crack in this array?"
Disciples of the Sword Cleanse Heavenly Pool suggested anxiously to Ke Mengzhan. Their sword array was unmatched in the whole world, with several people together they could exert several times their own power.
"It’s useless; this array is clearly designed to stop Ying Xi."
The half-fish Ke Mengzhan, sunbathing lazily, didn’t even bother to lift an eyelid. If it weren’t for seeing his junior brothers getting anxious, he wouldn’t even answer the question.
He had observed the changes in the array formation as soon as it occurred. The purpose of designing a No-fly Array of such a caliber was clearly to deal with cultivators of the Seventh Realm.
Even if they formed a sword array that could create a sword qi capable of crossing Realms, it would only have the strength of roughly the early stages of the Sixth Realm.
"Go wash up and sleep."
Ke Mengzhan yawned and turned over to continue sunbathing.
Seeing their salted-fish-like Chief, the other disciples of the Sword Cleanse Heavenly Pool were also helpless but to follow the chief’s orders and wash up and sleep.
Therefore, the other forces within the mountain all watched as the Sword Cleanse Heavenly Pool collectively started to sunbathe like salted fish, seemingly unconcerned about the sudden change, and the leader turned out to be the strongest swordsman in history, Ke Mengzhan.
"That’s the kid for you!" On the other side of the mountain top, He Zhiqing watched the Sword Cleanse Heavenly Pool people with a smile alongside Sect Leader Zhou and others.
"Do you have an idea for this array?"
Meanwhile, Yu Gejing, who was beside He Zhiqing, somehow brought a large piece of cloth and sprawled it on top of a patch of green grass on the mountain peak.
It was also piled high with various sweets they had bought from the granny the day before because she and her junior brother both suffered from decision paralysis, so they bought one of each type of sweet from the granny’s shop.
"Come, junior brother, try this white fruit cheese pancake." Yu Gejing held the dessert in his right hand and placed his left hand underneath to prevent it from falling, feeding it to He Zhiqing with a smile as radiant as flowers.
"How is it?" Yu Gejing asked, as leisurely as a couple on a spring outing.
"Delicious! We must buy more from Grandma’s place next time." He Zhiqing smiled lightly.
Following the lead of the Complete Heaven Sect’s chief disciple and the Sect Leader’s daughter, the other disciples began to relax, eating and drinking.
In all the years since they started cultivating, there really weren’t many moments as relaxed as this.
After a group of salted fish, there came a group out for a spring excursion.
The Demon Clan from the Ten Thousand Miles Mountain, however, were somewhat wilder.
Such sudden events obviously meant there were enemies around, right? Taking advantage of this downtime when the enemy wasn’t showing themselves was naturally the time to think about getting stronger.
Other than going bald, how could they get stronger?
By fighting, of course!
That’s right, right now, the lively bunch from the Demon Clan is passionately brawling, except for the introverted rabbit girl. The rest of the Demon Clan are fighting each other with great glee.
Among them, the Leopard Clan’s Fengling seemed the happiest fighter, her wild and hearty laughter even forced Ke Mengzhan to furrow his brows and muster his mana to block out the sound.
Combat is the romance of the Demon Clan!
Advance in battle or die in battle!
This was the experience summed up by Demon Clan players in their previous lives, yet it’s sufficient to describe the overall state of the Demon Clan.
Ying Xi, who was busy to the point of frustration, couldn’t help but sigh repeatedly. Fighting like this now, would they have the energy to face real enemies later?
Ying Xi clearly sensed that there were quite a few enemies outside of the Great Formation, but he didn’t sense the presence of the Seventh Realm; the highest was only at Great Perfection of the Sixth Realm.
If it were another scenario, Ying Xi himself wouldn’t be in a hurry; the longer the delay, the worse it would be for these fellows.
But they were currently in the middle of the Sect’s competition, and trapping them here clearly targeted the pillars of the Immortal Dynasty outside.
Although Liang Yi was outside, could they really expect outsiders to take their family affairs to heart? Ying Xi held little hope.
Just look at the three lively fellows up on the mountain to know!
At this moment, both He Zhiqing and Yu Gejing’s eyebrows slightly raised, and they looked up at the sky in unison.
Ying Xi and the Azure Dragon on the outside of the Array also noticed something unusual.
In the azure sky, a streak of light flashed.
Golden starlight descended from the heavens, reaching the edge of the No-fly Array in an instant.
The round cluster formed by the starlight looked disdainfully at the Great Formation, shook its trailing starry tail as if to say, "This? This? You think you can stop me?"
Then it disregarded the Array and landed straight into He Zhiqing’s hands, startling the Devouring Spirit Sect cultivators outside the Array.
"Master’s Starlight Communication Talisman?" Yu Gejing was somewhat puzzled. She had many of these in her possession, even some that were more advanced.
But the master was gone, weren’t they? Why would they suddenly send a message?
"It’s not from Master." He Zhiqing shook his head.
"It’s from junior brother Liang."
