He covered his fist with a massive amount of nature’s energy and was about to break that crystal when a big hand stopped him.

"What if you suffer the pain once again? Let me do it for you-" Xagrien spoke fast, concern evident in his tone.

"Hey, Xagrien," Luis’ tone is devoid of emotion. "I understand that you felt guilty because of the oath. But there is no need for you to worry. I am immune to whatever consequences that may happen if things go awry. But that effect is only for a limited time." He explained to the male.

"Should I make an oath that everything that I said just now is true?" Luis then smiled. "Your strength is depleted and you are physically injured so you can rest for now."

Then Luis’ smile turned sinister. "You need to prepare yourself for the punishment for giving me a mini heart attack."

Xagrien was caught off guard so he unwittingly stepped aside but he still took the liberty to stay by Luis’ side.

Luis punched the protective crystal once and instantly cracked. Under the moonlight that is exceptionally bright tonight, he finally saw Nereen’s sphere and he retrieved it. The golem stopped moving the exact moment that the sphere was lost and it slowly crumbled.

The serpent-like dragon let go of the crumbling golem then it possessively circled around Luis.

Everyone who heard the sounds of falling boulders from afar finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"The huge serpent defeated the stone golem!" The distant voices of the moon elves are heard.

On the other side, Luis’ hands run through the smooth surface of the black and white orb. He faintly felt a slight line and he knew that it was done by this blade.

"Sorry if I accidentally injure you, Nereen- I mean big Nereen. Your former host is already safe and being cared for so you don’t have to worry about that." Luis whispered to the sphere.

The moon elf lord could faintly feel the weak psyche residing inside this orb. Luis assumed that Nereen’s psyche must be tired after it was used haphazardly.

’I will never forgive that Lord Isami,’ the moon elf lord made a mental note that he must make that bastard suffer once they crossed paths in the future.

Xagrien, who was beside him, looked at it a bit softly but he didn’t talk at all. That simple stare is enough to see the relief and joy that he is feeling knowing that they saved his friend. Nereen may be different from now on but isn’t the most important thing that everything is fine?

It was at this moment that the system interface popped up with festive notifications.
