Luis was standing on top of a 600 feet tree, not too far from the maze where the moon elves and the hideous root crawlers are fighting for their life. He watched as different elemental powers flew around the battlefield.

"Thank goodness, everything is doing well so far," the moon elf lord stole one last peek before jumping down the tree.

"My lord!" Olyn, Rion and of course, the brute Xagrien is waiting for him. "Legland made a good adjustment in the stone walls. Thanks to the foothold that he put, the moon elves who are not that adept in jumping or climbing the walls can move up and down in it with less trouble."

"That, my father, said that he learned it from you, my lord." Rion shyly scratched his head after hearing the compliment for his father. It was both of his pride and pleasure whenever his parents were complimented, especially if it came from the moon elf lord.

"Moon elf lord, we should start searching now," Xagrien said with a hint of impatience.

’Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? But don’t you think that your temper came in late?’ Luis glanced at the cranky male god. His lips are pressed into a pout just for the sake of stopping the budding smile on his face from appearing.

"Okay," Luis shrugged his shoulders and then said in a more serious and commanding tone. "We will need to split up to search for any place that could possibly hide or trap an adult moon elf in this area." Luis motioned to the surroundings. They are currently near the first tunnel that Xagrien and his friends cleared before going to the Adriha Clan.

"Rion, you are in charge of aerial scouting. Look for any cave or maybe a house within the vicinity. Olyn, look for any possible tunnel entrance underground." Luis issued his commands fluidly.

"I will turn on, I mean open the telepathic connection to communicate with you. Tell me if you see anything off. And I will urgently go to you."

"But using that technique... Will it tire you, my lord, if you are continuously using it?" Rion asked worriedly.

"No, it should be fine."

Only after seeing that Luis was confident did Rion rest his case.

Then finally, he stared directly at Xagrien who was looking at him as if he was waiting for Luis to shift his attention to him. "We will comb this part of Shane Greenwoods to see for possible tracks of the assailant."

"I am," Xagrien answered. It would be more convincing if he didn’t evade Luis’ judging eyes.

"Oh," Luis made it obvious that he is not buying the male god’s answer.

Probably out of guilt, Xagrien generously provided an explanation.

"I am trying to look after you. You’ve been using that technique without stopping. I am afraid that your steps falter just like what happened earlier."

The moon elf lord was surprised after hearing this. ’You even noticed such little detail?’

However, Luis tried to maintain his cool since this isn’t the time to be flustered.

"Oh, really?" Luis impatiently tapped his index finger on his arm.

"I don’t want anything bad to happen while you are with me."

"No, I don’t think so," Luis’ smiled his most malicious smile. ’Do you really think I will let this go, Xagrien?’

It is better to say this as quickly as possible while his confidence is still full. "Besides, It will be settled quickly if we choose to be honest, right?"

Luis slowly undone his crossed arms and he relaxedly stood in front of Xagrien. Looking as if he was nonchalant.

"You tell me everything that you wanted to say and I will tell you everything that I wanted you to know. It’s that easy, right?"

Luis asked even though he was sweating a little on the back. He was oblivious that even his fair pointy ears have a tinge of pink due to his nervousness.

"Then let’s start with what you’ve been holding back." The moon elf lord cleverly passed the starter to Xagrien.

"Shouldn’t you-" The hunk with silver hair and purple eyes tried to reason.

However, Luis didn’t let him, he shut Xagrien’s lips with his thin index finger. There is a great disparity in their height so Luis had to stretch his arm just to do it.
