Chapter 220: A Troublemaker is on the Way (2)
Standing on top of a high-rise building, Luis Lee could hear the strong bellows of the ferocious wind directly to his ears. He couldn’t feel any comfort coming from it, but, instead, it carried the depressing weight of death in every breezy.,
This is pure chaos. He had almost forgotten this scenario because of the peace and harmony Luis experienced in the presence of his subordinates and Xagrien.
"Screeechhh!" the familiar cries of the zombies suddenly cut through his hearing. Luis approached the edge of the concrete building and looked down.
What welcomed him was a view he’d been used to seeing during the apocalypse. Overturned cars crowded by zombies, broken lampposts, and cracked concrete roads. A cityscape in its despairingly desolate form.
"Wait, did I come back to Modern Earth?" Luis’ heart was beating fast because of that thought. If it had happened before, he would have accepted this opportunity with open arms and legs, but now... Just the thought of parting with his hot and hung lover and faithful subordinates is enough for him to feel despair. There is no way he will accept this sudden turn of events passively!
"No way, maybe this is another illusion spell! A very powerful like Xerxes!" Luis is already panicking deep inside.
However, despite all the cold sweat on the verge of leaking from his entire body, Luis did his best to calm himself. He reminded himself of the countless times when his decisions were messed up because he failed to remain level-headed.
Luis Lee regained his cool and started inspecting his entire body, which harbors the most significant difference between his first and second lives, and that was the smartest move for Luis because it provided him with the answer that he wanted.
"Holy crap! Thank goodness my arms are not muscled and scarred! I am still a skinny, fair bitch!" Luis blurted out in relief as he finally confirmed that he was still the slim, beautiful bearer who scored a handsome, tanned mate.
"But what the hell is happening? Am I in some sort of illusion? Or is this perhaps a dream?" Luis wondered the moment he confirmed that he was sent back to his previous world.
Illusion or dream. These two options are what dominated his brain right now. Luis calculated the probability that he was in an illusion spell like the one Xerxes made and realized it was far from possible. The last memory that he had before waking up in this desolate world was him cumming with his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and "his toes curled due to the intense pleasure brought to him by his ever-handsome Xagarien. Hence, the only person who could cast an illusion spell on him was his lover and mate, which is by no means plausible since Xagrien is not someone who would pull something outrageous like this.
Luis saw a broken piece of mirror not that far from him. He used this to scan his entire body, and there he saw his pointed moon elf’s ears, his long black hair tied into a bun, and his gorgeous dark green eyes. Everything about him screams that he is the Moon Elf Lord. The only thing off in his body was the pair of denim pants and his plaid button-down shirt.
If this is a movie franchise, then he is doing a crossover.
"This must be a dream," Luis concluded after noticing these fine details.
Instantly, the agitation in his heart vanished and was replaced by relief.
"Seriously, though. How come I dreamt of this nightmarish dream after sex?!" He lamented in his heart.
"Wait, I read some articles that it is possible to control our consciousness within our dreams. Maybe I should try that so that I wake up from this nightmare!"
Luis did his best to concentrate and screamed, "Wake up! You bitch!" multiple times, but it was futile. He still finds himself standing on the edge of the building, listening to the distant wails of zombies below him.
"Damn! I should stop this stupidity now." Luis murmured. He slowly sat on the edge of the building and decided to just "enjoy" this familiar catastrophe.
He felt bittersweet. "Years from now, the world where I live will be in the same state as this. I wonder if all of our efforts to improve and become stronger are in vain once the apocalypse dawns upon us..."
From the beginning, Luis witnessed their civilization headed to ruins when the apocalypse happened. No cutting-edge technology managed to save millions of lives. Not even the most brilliant mind could discover the zombie virus’s origin. So, the worry that Luis kept in the bottom of his heart resurfaced. "Can we surprise ’till the end?"
Even if Luis didn’t want it, sadness and dread gradually found their way into Luis’ system. His body felt as if it was made of lead, and his every cell screamed to just lay down. This kind of feeling is not foreign to him. In fact, this feeling of helplessness was his constant companion before.
He just forgot it because he became the overpowered Moon Elf Lord and is surrounded by faithful people.
"Hah..."
Luis let out deep sighs as he was staring in a daze. The wind was blowing his long black hair, but he didn’t seem to be bothered by it. Perhaps even if his hair turned into a messy bird’s nest, his focus on staring at the nothingness would not be broken, for his mind is racing with ideas about the apocalypse.
Bam!
"Aw! What the hell was that?!" The moody Moon Elf Lord cried while lightly touching his aching left cheek. Something just hit him! Hard!
The pain was like a world-class pitcher throwing a golf ball towards him. So infuriating!
Luis angrily looked around to see who dared to attack him in his dreams and who was strong enough to inflict pain on his consciousness. He swears to tie him to a tree and spank him until his rear is as flat as cardboard!
However, Luis saw no one. It was just him and the few broken things left by the tenant of this building. But he still didn’t stop, and that was when he realized some strange things floating around him.
"Huh? What are these black and white orbs?"
Luis tried to poke one of them, but the white orb was seemingly naughty. Right before his skin touched it’s glistening surface, it teleported above him.
Its intelligent movement caught Luis’ interest. This orb may be the one that hit him, but strangely, the fury he once had for the culprit behind his aching cheeks vanished. It was replaced with a fondness for this weird white sphere.
"Come here, little orb, let me pinch you! We will see how squishy you are," the bearer said and proceeded to catch the little white ball.
However, as mischievous as it is, the white orb teleported again to Luis’ right side, only to teleport to a different position and then another. The ball was seemingly keen on teasing him. It was even vibrating as if it was giggling.
Luis found it fun, so he ran around trying to catch the orb with his hand like a winged snitch in a magic-themed movie he once watched.
However, before he could catch the naughty white orb, Luis felt another thump on his cheek. This time, it was on his right side.
The impact was not that great. To be more precise, it was relatively gentle and not painful at all.
"There are two balls bouncing around, huh?" Luis murmured as he saw the second black orb. This one is not a very slick ball. Luis noticed a small leaf resting on top of its upper curve, and the surface was emitting thin strips of purple lightning.
For some reason unknown to Luis, he felt insurmountable joy looking at these two orbs, and his wanting to touch them was too great.
"Please, can I touch the two of you?" Luis pleaded. He felt the sides of his eyes moistening, so he discreetly wiped them off.
"What is wrong with me?" Luis murmured in his heart in suppressed joy. "Why am I getting emotional with just these two balls?"
The two of them probably felt his desire and emotion because they slowly hovered towards him. Even the first naughty little ball is behaving well.
"Good boys," Luis found himself using that compliment for some reason. He saw the two spheres slightly vibrating after hearing his compliment. Seemingly excited because of his praise.
"Oh! So cute!"
Luis waited in bated breath, and once the two black orbs touched his fingertips, a surge of energy coursed through his body. Luis instantly felt the connection that he had with these two balls.
It was a soul-deep connection.
Luis closed his eyes to feel the comforting feeling more but ended up snappily opening his eyelids.
"Hey, where are you going?" Luis panicked and asked in a shaky voice.
However, the two balls did not respond in any way. Luis realized that as the black and white orbs rise, they get bigger until they are twice the size of an adult basketball. He was getting confused and restless as he watched this unfold, and then all of a sudden, two scaly-clawed feet that came out of the thick clouds grabbed the two balls.
One was obsidian black, and the other was jade green. These claws are slowly descending from the sky, and Luis is in complete shock upon recognizing the creature that caught the two orbs.
"Two Yongs!" Luis exclaimed as his eyes traced the shiny body of the twin mythical dragons. They looked magnificent and powerful at the same time. But the most noticeable for Luis was the air that they exuded. They have different personalities. It is interesting.
Luis wanted to look at them more, but to his surprise, the black Asian dragon, who had a mischievous aura, took a nose dive and went towards him.
It happened so suddenly that all Luis could do was stand on the edge of the building. The next thing he knew, everything around him was whited out, and the distant wails of zombies had diminished until none of them were heard.
