There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord!
Chapter 194: Soul-Element Resonance (4)

Chapter 194: Soul-Element Resonance (4)

If Luis has the ability to clone himself or split his body in half, he would gladly do so in a heartbeat. It seems like a great plan to communicate with the unconscious Nicol using telepathy, but the difficulty in controlling the life energy is already taking his all!

Luis felt himself breaking out of sweat due to the gradually increasing heat as time passed.

He needs to haste!

"Goodness dick! I will just work harder then!" Luis exclaimed. He made a leap of faith by establishing a telepathic connection with Nicol.

As he expected, the life energy barely molded as a pillar showed signs of crumbling like a weathered concrete column.

"Shit!" stopped his attempt to salvage the rickety pillar of energy.

His heart almost went to a full stop because of that!

’Damn, what should I do?!’ Luis bit his lips in frustration. His dark green eyes remained on the slumbering Nicol, who was making small, uncomfortable expressions.

"Just lay like that, Nicol. I will make sure to work you to the bone once you wake up!" Luis’s motivation once again ignited.

Back on the shore, the priests, sentinels, and the other inhabitants of the Woodrill Plains felt the burst of hot elemental powers alongside their Lord’s life energy.

They instantly knew that it was from their head priest, as no one over that side had the powers of fire.

"This is..." Sibal, who was among the newly arrived people, asked Dan, the patriarch of the Adriha Clan.

"It was the first time I saw something like this," he answered truthfully. His brown eyes landed on the standing hairs on his arms; he’s got a bad feeling about this.

Far from them was the advancing figure of Nihil and his deputy. Despite the apparent danger his eldest son faced, he stood tall without any signs of concern.

Nihil whispered to his trusted deputy, Karthena, "Look for the best flowers for the funeral. That one’s elemental power seems to be on the verge of exploding. It would be impossible to salvage him even if it was the Moon Elf Lord."

"Patriarch-"

Bump!

"Ah, I am sorry, mister," says the young, milky voice, who collided with Karthena’s back.

Nine looked at the two adults with fear as he rubbed his reddened nose. His pair of wolf ears are all perked up, alert.

He didn’t like these two older brothers, for he sensed hatred from them and what he heard them say earlier. Nine knew from the others that the pretty brother was doing his best to save the priest brother who helped him the night when there were a lot of angry beasts charging at them, but why were they saying mean things like his priest brother would surely die?

There is no good person who would wish for another’s downfall.

"This mutt!" Nihil looked at the child with disgust.

"Twit!" A small chick suddenly popped up on. The child’s fluffy hair and looked at them condescendingly.

"Patriarch, don’t be too impulsive! That child is with the lord’s little chick!" Karthena, caught the Nihil’s hand who was about to push the child.

"Nine! What are you doing here?!" Sibal’s loud voice sounded far from their right. The adult orc swiftly stands between his little brother and the two elitists of the Ris Clan.

"I apologize if my little brother hurt you in any way," Sibal’s apology was just out of formality, and he just left after saying a quick hello and goodbye to Nihil and Karthena. He knows they have nothing good to say, and it is not the best time to create any commotion.

"This uncultured ro-" Nihil’s word swerve interrupted when an overwhelming force of fire power swept across them. It is not only to their direction. Instead, it rolled in all directions of Woodrill Lake.

Luis is almost losing his head, doing an advance and retreat tactic just to make things work. When he was about to grab his head to pull his hair in frustration, he felt a familiar presence standing beside him.

"Tell me what you need help with, and I will do it for you," the comforting baritone voice of his lover, Xagrien, sounded beside him. Luis opened his eyes.

There, he saw Xagrien, whose handsome, tanned face was drenched with sweat. Like him, he was directly receiving the fire energy from Nicol.

Luis breathed a sigh of relief, but then he noticed that Xagrien was visibly bothered by the overwhelming life energy. His lover’s posture is slightly bent just to approach him.

"But-" Luis wanted to decline out of concern, but he saw the adamant glint in Xagrien’s purple eyes.

’This man simply wouldn’t take no for an answer,’ he told himself.

Well, in the spirit of being couples and mates, on top of that, it’s only natural that Xagrien will step forward to help him.

"Alright," he finally acquiesced. Luis explained to Xagrien the whole gist of the situation in his limited time.

"Can you do it?" Luis asked Xagrien.

Xagrien made a lopsided smirk.

"Isn’t it just beating some sense to Nicol in order to stop him from holding back? That is easy."

Luis blinked his eyes twice. This man is unbelievable. He lost little control over the life energy, making it a little wobbly. "You’re supposed to inform him, not

manhandle him."

He thought that it was only him who noticed Nicol wasn’t showing his full potential. As it turns out, Xagrien is also aware of it, too.

"You are already doing your best to keep him safe. Now, it is his responsibility to settle his own personal problems to save his life and become stronger," Xagrien said with no traces of jokes on his handsome face.

Luis noticed that despite his considerably young age, Xagrien was surprisingly mature. Just now, he sounded like a strict, authoritative father. Meanwhile, he is soft and caring...

The Moon Elf Lord immediately put a stop to his straying thoughts. The heat radiating from Nicol is getting more and more intense while Luis is here, mind getting carried away with all the pregnancy rumors swirling about him!

"Okay," Luis finally agreed. The Moon Elf Lord’s dark green eyes were shining with hope. It’s like a little kid who was asking for a treat. "Just don’t be too harsh or physical. Remember, he is a patient!"

It is unknown what methods his lover would use, so it is always best to prepare for the worst.

An enigmatic smile was drawn on Xagrien’s face. "Don’t worry. My ways are far from what you are expecting, My Lord."

Xagrien knew that each of Luis’ subordinates was equally important to his lover.

Xagrien dragged his way toward the black-out man floating in the middle of the lake. As he advanced, the life energy had a bigger and more potent force. In addition to that, the air is also getting thinner and hotter.

The difficulty was unimaginable, and Xagrien only found it just now.

"For my bearer," he keeps on uttering to give him the strength to advance, and like a charm, it worked for Xagrien as he finally reached Nicol.

It may sound far-fetched, but the water around Nicol was bubbling and emitting faint smoke.

"What luck does this man have?" He couldn’t help but say with slight envy. Obviously, the power-up that the reawakening brings them is a big deal, considering the strength that it is unintentionally leaking.

However, that is only a fleeting thought as his mind flashed the face of his struggling bearer.

Xagrien collected himself and spoke to the close-eyed head priest, "This is nothing personal, Nicol. You’re a great guy who doesn’t see my Luis beyond master. But I need to mess with you a little."

With his hands covered with glimmering purple mana, he reached for Nicol’s scorching hot forehead.

Back from where Luis was standing, the Moon Elf Lord once again closed his eyes to deal with the tremendous life energy. To attest that, the Life Bringer’s Sigil shone brighter than the tiny crescent moon in the night sky.

Luis’s effort is also not unfruitful. The control that he executes is sleeker and more accurate. The poorly made concrete-like pillar of silvery life energy has now shown notable vertical grooves on its body.

It’s like a decorated Greek column embellished with elegant flutes in its shaft.

"Now, spread and flow like a damned river!" Luis shouted. His forehead was creased due to the efforts that he was putting into this. After he said that, the silver pillars surrounding Nicol and Xagrien became a blinding lamp that pushed away the darkness in the vast expanse of Woodrill Lake.

It stunned not only Xagrien, who was about to cast his spell, but also the people on the shore.

From the grooves, the light flowed through it, making a visible line on the water’s surface. These lines met in the center, right where Nicol was lying.

"This is like the stars have landed on the water..." Xagrien noted as he was looking directly at the lake. The suppressive feeling coming from the uncontrolled life energy gradually dissipated as though it was nothing but an illusion.

Feeling the lightness on his body, an exhilarating feeling flooded Xagrien’s chest, and he looked back at Luis. At the exact moment, his lover has finally opened his eyes, revealing his dark green eyes.

"It’s unacceptable that you’re the only one showing your strength. The pride of our future child will be wounded if you are the only one who can pull surprises."

Xagrien said that he mobilized his mana and the circles revolving around his heart. Luis gasped from the distance, "Holy-"

For the nth time, Luis broke his promise to refrain from cursing.
