Chapter 184: [Bonus Chapter] Hopes and Future (2)

It was already midnight in the Woodrill Plains when its inhabitants called it a night.

All serious talks are scheduled for later.

The Moon Elf Lord, who has been the center of the two great waves that swoop the Woodrill Plains, is playing the "tsundere" card in his lover’s thick and veiny mahogany arms while flying.

It had been a crazy night, and he suffered quite a significant blow in his majesty as the Moon Elf Lord. Not that he really cared about that. It’s just that the shame that sprung from one’s own mouth is simply too much.

It’s pretty frustrating that he’s got no one to blame but himself, so he opts to bother the man who is now officially his mate.

In the first place, Xagrien is the one who brought up such a ridiculous notion that he is pregnant.

"It’s already late, Xagrien. You are the one who said that we should be resting now, but what is this?" Luis looked at the handsome, low-angled profile of his lover. As hypocritical as it sounds, his tone is unkind, but his dark green eyes nailed at Xagrien’s tanned cheeks. "Where are we going?"

Luis has long realized they are not heading towards their tent on the southern edge of the Woodrill Plain since they are moving north.

"You will know later," Xagrien said, but he was far from done. "Don’t think that I am not mad at you for drinking alcohol without my presence. Luis."

The Moon Elf Lord, whose name was said with such firm and cold emphasis, retracted his spoiled claws like a reprimanded cat.

Revealing their relationship was so overwhelming that he forgot that he was why Xagrien overreacted.

’Damn, Luis, you really have a talent for ruining yourself.’

The Moon Elf Lord pouted his lips.

"I’m sorry. I will make sure to stay away from alcohol from now on," Luis said in a more tame tone than before.

He tilted his head up and saw that Xagrien was sporting a slight smirk on his face. "I will make sure you will be sorry."

’This actually pleasures you, huh?’ Luis made a lopsided smirk at his lover. His heart felt full just looking at his future baby daddy

"But seriously, Luis. If you really want to have a showdown with your subordinates, you must do it in a better condition. Liquor made you hasty in your decision-making. Why did you even have an idea to counter a gigantic piece of adamantium weapon with just your pair of wooden sticks? You are way better than that on regular days."

Luis found himself getting the reprimanding that he deserved. Every time the night breeze slapped his face, Xagrien spat facts to his pouting mate’s face.

"It’s better if you made it an official match, just like your plans for my duel with Ali from Isan Clan."

Right, he already set that to coincide with his plan to train and expand their fighting forces. Luis looked at the handsome male god whose silver hair fluttered as they soared to the star-strewn night sky, and he couldn’t help but appreciate his lover’s thoughtfulness.

’Wait, why is he saying this now? Didn’t he...’

"Xagrien, you’re actually not serious about believing I am pregnant, right?" Luis asked with his nose twitching. He swears he will show what a dragon’s roar is like- the Moon Elf Lord version.

The brute, who is currently being held suspicious by his mate, looked unperturbed, "I am, though."

"Really?"

"Really. I just trust your strength. That is why I suggested that," Xagrien’s face and voice are united in expressing his sincerity, and Luis is unsure if he should be relieved or worried. He felt like he did something illegal now that he realized Xagrien was this innocent.

However, Xagrien is far from the Moon Elf Lord’s assumption.

’I’m sorry, baby.’ Xagrien uttered in his heart while trying to press down the smirk that was blooming on his lips. What "his" Luis didn’t know was that he was aware that they were coming their way, and he said his "hopes" loudly so that the others would know about their relationship.

"Well, at least now they know you are my mate..." Luis trailed off.

Xagrien bit his lip, "I don’t mind it, and honestly, I think that is the best for us."

’So those people with funny ideas with my bearer will back off.’

Xagrien realized that silently waiting and working to be worthy of Luis is a coward’s move. Many males are trying to gain his beloved favor, and it would be troublesome to deal with them secretly. He doesn’t want to shift his attention from his lover to these irrelevant people, so it is best to put up a sign to act as deterrence.

Besides, he can no longer control his love for the Moon Elf Lord.

He knows Luis experienced great shame because of his intense reaction. Xagrien, himself, didn’t expect that Luis would respond that way.

’I will just love you deeply and harder, My Lord...’ Xagrien vowed to himself.

The Moon Elf Lord quizically stared at Xagrien’s face for a moment. ’I wonder what is going on inside his handsome head?’

They started descending near a patch of land, and Luis was dumbfounded upon seeing the structure before him. There was a stone pathway leading to the edge of the forest, and standing in it was a two-story house made up of finely polished stones and glistening wood, which he knew was the same reinforced lumber that he made.

A veranda and balcony on the upper and lower levels of the house were lit with shining night pearls. On this moonless night, the faint white glow from the pearls gives off an ethereal feeling in the whole place.

It was an excellent addition to the overall vibe of the house.

"This is..." he doesn’t know what to say afterward. He is simply speechless. Is it what he thinks it is?

Luis realized that he had been on an emotional rollercoaster since earlier, and now he felt like he would cry.

"Our home," Xagrien said with a small smile playing on his lips. He felt warm in his chest upon seeing the reaction of the Moon Elf Lord. It’s like all his hard work had paid off. "How can I let the Moon Elf Lord sleep on a tent, knowing that others could finally stay in the new houses?"

"I will not let anyone say that I did not treat you right and use that as an excuse to take you away." Xagrien stepped beside Luis and then whispered. "Did you like it?"

"Shut up," Luis shook his head as he bit his lips. What should he do with this male god? How dare this man make him fall harder with his thoughtfulness? In this life or his past, he’s got a lot of friends, but none of them cared for him like this.

Just this tall, beefy, and handsome moon elf.

Without inhibitions, Luis pulled Xagrien’s nape and locked him to a kiss full of his love because- yes, he loved the house, for it was made by the man he loved.
