Chapter 179: That Drunken Brawl That Went Down To History (3)
Nicol’s feet are practically flying when he fetched the servant who could assist the Moon Elf Lord to his bed. He didn’t dare to dilly dally since he knew that Legland was also drunk and that fellow turned into a total musclehead when he was under the influence. If someone asks for a fight, then there will be no seconds wasted and he will do his fighting stance.
’I need to hurry,’ Nicol thought. The bearer servant could hardly keep up with him since he is a four-star warrior.
"I will go ahead now. Just approach us once you arrive."
"Understood, Head Priest Nicol," the servant politely saluted.
However, despite his haste, it seems like it was defined by fate that something would happen tonight.
"What is the meaning of this?" Nicol couldn’t stop himself from asking in a cold apathetic voice the moment he witnessed the awkward scenario of Master Feren kneeling in front of the Moon Elf Lord.
The patriarchs are all standing in their seats, helplessly looking at the scene in front of them.
On the other hand, the others who were loudly celebrating earlier are now dead silent with worry plastered on their faces.
This situation isn’t something they could easily meddle in. If they thoughtlessly butt in, then there is a possibility that it would escalate.
"This stupid, old man!" He internally cursed.
Nicol’s strides became bigger and bigger as he tried to reach the two. However, someone stopped him in his tracks. It was his father, Nihil.
"What do you want?" He asked but the latter didn’t respond and just pointed at
him with distaste.
~~
The old man Feren, was kneeling in front of the moon elf lord and hugging his thighs like a koala.
"My Lord, please fight me just this once."
Luis is still a bit tipsy due to the Bloodberry Wine.
He never thought that he would get drunk after taking down only a few shots.
"What are you talking about? I’m not taking anyone as my teacher. I am not Xagrien. You should ask my daddy if you are looking for a disciple," that is Luis’ unfitting answer to Feren’s request. This is Luis’ unique drunken trait.
An absolute airhead. Say one word and he will interpret it to another. That is the drunken form of the Moon Elf Lord.
"Daddy? What is that, my lord?" Feren asked, thinking that the Moon Elf Lord was a little weird.
"The one who’s giving me milk," the moon elf lord answered without even blinking.
Luis isn’t aware that the memories of today will be his number one source of shame in the future. He is still oblivious that later tonight, he will be punished by his so-called daddy.
For now, he shook off the old man clinging to him and walked towards the chair once again.
"I missed my daddy. My walking dildo," he sighed while sitting down.
Old Feren, on the other hand, has concerns forming in his mind. Something is wrong with the Moon Elf Lord!
But still, he persistently kneeled and asked the Moon Elf Lord who was looking dazedly through the air.
"Master, the Moon Elf Lord needs to rest now. Let him go," Legland stood up and tried to reason out.
"Nonsense! Don’t tell me you don’t want to experience a duel with the Moon Elf Lord. I will never believe that!"
Legland was instantly silenced. He is guilty as charged. He wants to go against the Moon Elf Lord but most of the time they are busy with something and he never really gets a chance to say since he is also ashamed.
But the situation is different now, because of the liquor he is extra courageous now.
"Well, can we try that, My Lord?"
As vague as the question was, the drunk Moon Elf Lord naturally has a different interpretation of such an innocent request.
"What do you mean try?! I am not an advocate of NTR! I don’t support cheaters! I am a faithful gay who only accepts one d-." Luis doesn’t even have the strength to continue his litany because he simply can’t accept the fact that Legland asks him to commit such an atrocity! (Legland didn’t.)
Legland stared at Luis confusedly for a few moments, not knowing what their almighty lord meant.
He has a hunch that he is severely misunderstood.
"My lord, what I meant was spar. Exchanging attacks. Combat," he calmly explained.
"Oh," Luis looked as if he was enlightened. A sigh of relief escaped from him knowing that they were not going to do the sin. "You should have spoken clearly earlier."
"Indeed, My Lord, I apologize."
"How do we go about it? I already promised Nicol that I-" Luis is about to say that he needed to rest now.
However, he heard something that made him stop and his blood boil.
No hangover soup could sober him like this as he could feel the scorching anger rising from his chest.
"How could you leave the Moon Elf Lord just like that? You never really did a great thing for our clan and yet now, you are painting us bad in front of the Moon Elf Lord? What if he thinks that all of the Ris Clan is just like you? Negligent and irresponsible."
Luis violently craned his neck to look at the hostile speaker. It was Nihil and Nicol immersed in their confrontation.
He couldn’t see the old man’s face but he could see the expressionless face of Nicol as his father berates him.
"You are weak, useless and would forever be behind Legland. Do you think you can stay on the Moon Elf Lord’s side if you are not the head priest? That’s why you should do your best to serve the Moon Elf Lord and help your brother to be the Moon Elf Lord’s mate!"
Stubborn and self-absorbed. This is one type of person that he absolutely hates.
He doesn’t like that his close subordinates are wronged in his presence.
Because of his temper, the fog in his head cleared up.
"Okay, let’s fight now." Luis declared.
It is not only intended for the two clinging warriors so Luis made sure to magnify it.
In an instant, everyone’s night stood still. All of them couldn’t believe what they just heard from the Moon Elf Lord.
The little tree spirit that’s dressed as a winged serpent, widened his eyes in shock. ’Did the Great Moon Elf Lord go insane like Xerxes described before? I need to inform him!’
And the Winged Serpent flew where the two dragon bloods with great haste.
Hearing this, Nicol didn’t waste any more time with his close-minded father and briskly walked his way to reach the Moon Elf Lord. However, he halted his steps and whispered to his father, "I don’t care if you underestimate me or berate me. But you have to remember, not everyone is small-minded like you who would fall pathetically on simple tricks. Especially the Moon Elf Lord."
That and he left his father without looking back. It’s none of his concern if he is fuming.
"My Lord, You don’t have to fulfill the request of two drunken men."
Luis saw Nicol and he couldn’t stop his chest from feeling heavy
However, he didn’t wear that negative expression on his sleeves. Instead, he acted cheerful.
"I also feel like I need to train a little. It isn’t fair that everyone but me is improving, right? That’s why I want you all to fight me."
The teacher and student exclaimed success upon hearing this bold statement from Luis.
Nicol was silent for a while. Why does it seem like the Moon Elf Lord is lying?
Luis read this questioning gaze from the man, he immediately felt guilty.
"Well, isn’t it frustrating whenever people are questioning your worth? The best way to shut them up is to prove your worth straight to their faces."
Like the cloud clearing the blue sky, Nicol finally understood the Moon Elf Lord’s intention and he felt warmth coursing through his system.
The head priest sighed.
"My Lord, I will offer my life to you. If ever you need it in the future," Nicol finally said and headed to the table and took the huge bottle of Bloodberry Wine.
He brashly gulped four shots from it and said. "Let’s go and do a drunken brawl, my lord."
That night, the place of celebration was moved to the central part of the Woodrill Plains where the blue lake was situated.
However, this time worry and anticipation are intermingling in the atmosphere as thousands of moon elves and orcs alike are crowding around the four figures standing near the shore of the lake.
"Is it really fine to let this happen?" Gab, an orc belonging to the Lune Clan asked worriedly. "They are all intoxicated. What if they accidentally injured the Moon Elf Lord?"
"Everything should be fine," his fellow orc friend Cain said, "I think you forgot how the Moon Elf Lord dealt with the Stone Golem that severely injured us. He isn’t weak at all."
They are in a considerable distance but the pressure coming from the three four-star warriors and the Moon Elf Lord was too heavy that it made his body hair stand up. With this as a sample, doubting is useless.
"I know, but I’m just worried. Where is Xagrien anyway? He’s been out for so long," Gab innocently scratched his head. "Is he still working on that-"
Hares immediately conjured a water whip and covered his orc friend’s mouth.
"If you already know the answer, then don’t ask in the first place, please." He deadpanned. They needed to make sure that their friend’s relationship with the Moon Elf Lord would not get out of their circle until the individuals involved admitted it themselves.
Hares pursed his lips. "Why don’t you admit that you’re afraid that Xagrien will chew you out once something happens to the Moon Elf Lord?"
"No way! I am not-"
"Shush!" Somebody from the crowd pacified the sporadic noises that were made. "I think they are starting"
