For the first time, Luis felt unsure of what he should do. The result that he came up with from the report was rather a very dangerous place. They just recently cleared a risky business and Luis is not ready to send his subordinates to the gallows.

Therefore that night, he sneakily snuck out of his tent and flew to the night sky.

He entered the woody area of Woodrill Plains like a ninja. His long black hair was dancing to the blows of the wind so he tried to part a side of it. That was when he saw someone flying in his peripheral vision.

"Fuck!" Luis cussed out of surprise. "Xagrien, what are you doing here?"

The moon elf lord stopped mid-air and faced the male.

"That is what I am supposed to say," Xagrien crossed his big guns- er, arms over his chiseled chest. He was wearing his killer shirt so his pecs are in full show to the moon elf lord’s greedy eyes.

"At the dead of the night," the male looked up to show the disappearing moon, "Don’t tell me you are going to the Middle Circle of the Shane Greenwoods? Or should I say the Inner Circle?"

Like a thief that was caught in broad daylight, Luis could only awkwardly "haha" and say, "Well, you got me. But how did you know that?"

He hovered near Xagrien and latched at the male god’s arms that were as strong as mahogany. Trying to sell cuteness.

"You were busy building our house, right?" Luis exposed the reason for Xagrien’s sneaky actions these past few days.

The brute would say that he is helping in construction but in reality, he was building their future home with the help of his friends.

If he were to be honest, he felt giddy knowing that this man is one step ahead of him in planning their future. That is how eager and certain this handsome man is about him.

Is this how it feels like to be loved? It fuels his confidence. Big time.

"Yes, I am doing that because you are too focused on building other people’s houses." Xagrien ruthlessly countered Luis’ cutesy act with biting honesty.

Luis can’t argue with that. He can only agree with the truth.

Luis shot an aggrieved look at Xagrien and the male only looked at him dotingly. He knows the ways of this man so he didn’t feel offended at all. Instead, it was a cue for him to flirt some more!

"What can I do when I need to–" Luis in cutesy tone was about to say that he needs to complete the city so that he could finally get 20 system points and unlock the second skill. But Xagrien shushed him by placing his long and girthy finger on his lips.

Luis was confused at first.

"They informed me that you are skeptical of sending your subordinates to explore the Inner Circle and there is a possibility that you will overwork yourself once again."

"They?" Luis rotated his head like a clock’s hand, looking around. That was when he realized that Legland, Rean, Rion, Nicol, Olyn, and Ilian were lurking in the shrubbery.

He was too distracted to notice their obvious hiding place.

"You guys..." the moon elf lord facepalmed himself. He is too speechless for his carelessness and the concern that these people were showing him.

"Hello, my lord!" Rean cheerfully beamed at Luis after he jumped out of the bushes. "Pardon if I invaded your privacy, I was just worried since you were too busy these days. It might harm your health in case you are-"

Legland timely cutted in, "My lord, I apologize if we monitored your movements without your consent. We just feel worked up thinking that you might go there. It is a challenge to reach the inner circle due to the huge number of powerful four-star beasts in the middle circle. And I must add that little was known about that place."

The moon elf lord felt that he missed a piece of great information coming from Rean but he left it at that thinking that Legland’s words make sense.

"The late four-star warriors who managed to reach that place didn’t disclose much about it and even the temple hasn’t explored that place, my lord," Nicol added, his short brown hair waving to the cold breeze of the wind.

The moon elf lord knew of these things and he admits that they are all reasonable.

Luis descended to the ground to properly talk to them and Xagrien followed suit.

"Let’s go with them, Luis," he heard the male whisper. In the back of his mind, Luis also agrees. The Inner Circle was an unpredictable place and reliable help is very much welcome.

"Well, that is the reason why I am unwilling to let any of the warriors head there. They are still building up their strength so it’s basically a suicide if I asked them to go to that place."

"But what about the management of the construction?"

Nicol knew that this matter was important for the moon elf lord so he prepared everything ahead of time. The representatives are informed and Manulus, the man who is appointed by the moon elf lord to be the engineer, was put to be the overseer of the huge construction.

"Koniel was training to handle the affairs of the temple so he considered this as practice, my lord." Nicol said after he recounted how he shoved his works to his assistant.

"That..." should Luis say good job? What is important is for the project to continue and Nicol did it well so Luis shrugged his concern off. They are capable and fast workers so it should not be a problem.

"It won’t take a week in my expectations so Okay, you can join me," Luis expressed his agreement to take these three since they have considerable strength.

However, it is a different story from the other three. Luis explained to them the perils that await them, he isn’t trying to dissuade them, instead he wants to know their intentions.

"We understand that my lord..." Rion trailed off after the moon elf lord spoke. He looked at Xagrien and clenched his fist. "But I badly want to test my strength so please let me come with you."

His silver eyes that he got from Rean are burning.

If Luis has other weaknesses aside from a hot body and good looks, then it is a persistent cutie pie. He could clearly see Rion’s determination to become stronger so he nodded his head.

"If things become dangerous, seek protection from any of us, the moon elf lord said.

Olyn then stepped forward, meeting Luis halfway, "My lord, you promised that you will take me with you wherever you go so I am here to fulfill it."

Luis looked at his number one servant amusedly. Not being rude but this is probably the smartest thing that he heard from Olyn.

"You know full well that it would be perilous over there. It would be best if you go back and build your strength for now," Luis sternly said to the bearer who looked like he couldn’t hurt a fly.

For the first time, Olyn shook his head and disobeyed the lord’s order. His eyes pooled with tears and he said aggrievedly, "My lord, I don’t want to run away like that night."

Back then, Olyn knew that the moon elf lord meant to send him away from harm with the excuse of taking the Nereen to a safe place.

He isn’t angry or disappointed because of that but rather he felt helpless. Helpless because he is not strong enough to fight alongside the lord that he is serving. Helpless because he is not as gifted as Xagrien.

That is the reason why he silently accepted the fact that Xagrien qualifies to be the moon elf lord’s mate. He is naturally strong. They are perfect.

Xagrien and his lord are quickly improving their strengths.

Just like Legland and Nicol.

But what of a mere servant like him? Olyn is afraid that he could no longer serve the lord if he stayed stuck in the same place.

"I want to be in danger with you, so please let me join you, my lord." Olyn cried, his expression was a mix of firmness and desperation.

Luis weakly shook his head. He totally lost against this honest subordinate of his.

"Ye-" the moon elf lord is supposed to say that he approves but Olyn’s tears burst out like an exploded dam.

"Why are you crying?! When I am about to say yes?!"

The silly bearer’s crying halted but a drip of his tear ran on his cheeks like a leaking faucet. "Eh?"

Rean stepped in and soothingly rubbed the back of Olyn, "The moon elf lord said that you can come with us."

Luis messed up Olyn’s brown hair intimately. "If you want to be strong then you should control your tears first. Don’t let them flow freely like a river or else someone will use them against you."

"Uhmm!" Olyn nodded and beamed despite the redness of his eyes. He will surely remember his lord’s words since it was said directly to him.

"How about you, Ilian? What are you doing here?" Luis looked at the chubby fellow who was staying behind the shadows.

The poor man stumbled in the dark. His head is fuzzy not knowing if he should tell them the truth.

’Is it alright to say that he was out to take a dump?’ Ilian nervously bit his nail.

"Yuck!" The silver-eyed stout man cried with his face scrunched. That is the hand that he sullied because of the deed!

"Yuck?" Luis raised an eyebrow at this man. "What do you mean by that?"

Ilian thought that the moon elf lord sounded critical so he immediately turned to look at his best buddy only to see that Xagrien is just looking at him amusedly.

Xagrien doesn’t know the reason why Ilian was out at this time of the day. But then he remembered something and he leaned in to whisper to Luis.

"My lord, he wants to come with us since he wants to become stronger just like anyone else."

If Luis would buy that reasoning then he is dumb. It was obvious that Xagrien was up to something. But then again it might not be a bad thing.

"You can come with us." He smiled brightly at the dumbfounded male moon elf.

His dark green eyes landed on the seven individuals who willingly came for him.

Tonight was a very special night because he was reminded that he was not alone.

In the darkness of the night, Luis and his subordinates set out not knowing that they are approaching something that would either be a curse or a blessing
