Chapter 1007: Chapter 1007: Destroy Him Chapter 1007: Chapter 1007: Destroy Him At that moment, the police officer who had gone out to make a call came back and whispered a few words to the leading officer’s ear.
Upon hearing what his colleague said, the leading officer’s expression immediately stiffened.
The situation was more troublesome than he had thought.
Then, Jin Tai’s reasonably skilled companion stepped forward quickly to the police and said in halting Chinese, “Officer, our Mr. Jin Tai has been injured by him, and we request that you arrest him.”
“Who do you think you are to order our police comrade around?” Cao Jianhui, enraged, stepped forward in front of the crowd, pointed at the Korean who couldn’t speak fluent Chinese, and berated, “Today we were just sparring in martial arts. In a martial arts competition, it’s normal for participants to get injured. Don’t you understand the principle of accepting defeat in a wager? If you think your person is injured, then hurry up and take him to the hospital for treatment!”
Seeing this, Luo Yuqing walked to one side and took out her phone to make a call.
After making the call, she returned and said to the police, “If anyone has to be held accountable for this matter, let it be on me. I arranged this event, and it has nothing to do with the students who participated in the competition. Why don’t you all go back first? We will handle this ourselves. After we deal with this matter, we’ll come to the police station to cooperate with the investigation.”
At that moment, the leading police officer’s phone rang. He walked aside to answer the call, and then his expression changed again.
“Alright then, let’s take these people to the hospital for a check-up. If there’s nothing serious, that would be good,” the officer said upon returning from the call. He addressed everyone, “Leave the contact information of all related individuals. If needed for the investigation, we’ll contact you.”
“I’m a medical student. Seeing how much pain this fellow student is in, I’ll check him first,” Luo Ziling said, and without waiting for the police to agree, he approached Jin Tai and began to examine him.
Strangely enough, after a few presses and manipulations by Luo Ziling, the unbearable pain Jin Tai was suffering seemed to vanish, and he was able to stand up.
“There, it’s nothing serious. Just make sure to rest,” Luo Ziling patted Jin Tai on the shoulder and reminded him earnestly, “In the future, don’t be too full of yourself. Remember, there’s always a higher sky and someone out there better. There are many more skilled in martial arts than you–or me for that matter.”
Having said that, Luo Ziling also pressed and manipulated a few others who seemed to be standing unsteadily.
Strangely, after he did so, they immediately felt much relief, and the pain in their bodies seemed to diminish significantly.
“If your injuries are severe and you need to go to the hospital, you should go quickly,” the leading officer said, seeing signs of the situation easing, and quickly instructed the Koreans, “Of course, if your condition isn’t serious, we can take your statements about what happened here.”
The officer said this and then turned to Luo Yuqing and Luo Ziling, “We need to record what happened, and we hope for your cooperation.”
He already knew that the identities of Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing were not simple and that they were not people they could afford to provoke. They could only handle the matter in the way they deemed most just.
These officers also knew that Koreans like these often caused trouble, and every police officer had dealt with cases involving them. Under the guise of practicing martial arts, they had injured many students, some even crippled, yet because of their Korean status, they had not faced severe consequences. Today, Luo Ziling had given them a good lesson, and even the officers felt a sense of relief.
Also, because of instructions from their superiors, they had no intention of making things difficult for Luo Ziling.
However, in front of these Korean students, they couldn’t appear too biased towards the Huaxia students, so they still measured their actions carefully.
Luo Ziling graciously cooperated with the police, telling them what he felt was necessary.
He didn’t say much, though; most of it was said by Luo Yuqing.
It was the first time Luo Ziling realized that Luo Yuqing was so eloquent, very articulate and convincing. She managed to put all the blame on the Koreans, saying they had repeatedly provoked them until they had no choice but to agree to a martial arts competition with them.
Supported by other students’ testimonials, even the police officer believed that the primary responsibility lay with the trouble-making Koreans.
They also took statements from the Koreans who had been injured by Luo Ziling.
The police asked their questions rather skillfully, and in the end, deemed it a case where, after being provoked by Koreans, students from Yan University of Huaxia were forced to accept the challenge. The two parties agreed to meet here and compete in martial arts, with the highly skilled Luo Ziling taking down all the Koreans.
The police didn’t linger long, and after registering the identity documents and contact information of both parties, they left.
As they were leaving, they admonished both sides that if they received a call from them, they must come to the police station for investigation, or else they would bear the consequences.
Watching the police car drive away, Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing exchanged a smile, both unable to hide their triumph in their eyes.
However, Luo Yuqing still quietly asked Luo Ziling, “Did you injure him down there?”
“No rush!” Luo Ziling chuckled with a smirk.
Luo Yuqing thought about it and then realized what Luo Ziling was planning, breaking into a radiant smile again.
Luo Yuqing walked over to Jin Tai, who was sitting on a chair with a somewhat pale face, and said harshly, “Young Master Jin, you’ve lost today’s competition!”
“I concede,” Jin Tai said, without his usual arrogance.
Chen Jiahu came and didn’t dare to intervene, the police came and left. How could he not understand that Luo Yuqing and Luo Ziling were not to be trifled with?
Bowing his head temporarily was not an act of weakness or incompetence; to be able to bend and stretch was the mark of a true man.
“Jin Tai, you will face retribution for all the evil deeds you’ve done. Today is just a warning,” Luo Yuqing whispered in Jin Tai’s ear before chuckling again, “I hope you have good luck!”
Despite how sweet Luo Yuqing’s smile was, it sent a shiver down Jin Tai’s spine.
But by then, Luo Yuqing had already left his side and walked away.
“Ziling, let’s go, it’s on me; we’re going to have a feast,” Luo Yuqing called out to Luo Ziling, then turned to the other students and said, “You’ve all opened your eyes wide today, right? To celebrate Ziling’s victory, I’ll treat you all to a seafood feast!”
Naturally, Luo Yuqing’s words were met with cheers from the other students.
So, the group left without giving another thought to the dispirited and downcast Koreans, and headed off on their own.
Luo Yuqing still walked alongside Luo Ziling while the others kept a slight distance from them.
“Ziling, I know you have many questions. After we finish lunch, let’s find a place to talk alone, alright?” Luo Yuqing said softly to Luo Ziling on the way to the restaurant. “After you hear what I have to say, you’ll understand everything. Hehe, I’m not harming you, nor am I using you as a pawn. Anyway, we’re in the same trench and must fight side by side forever!”
“Alright then,” Luo Ziling said with a smile, Luo Yuqing having hit upon his concerns.
He did have many questions and even doubted Luo Yuqing was using him, but her candidness ultimately put him at ease.
“Ziling, I still hope that you’ll ruin him, that bastard is just too vile!”
Luo Ziling looked at Luo Yuqing with perplexity, “Could it be that he once forced himself on you?”
“…”
