Chapter 986: Chapter 986: Sis, You Have to Be Careful of Your Husband Becoming Someone Else’s Husband Chapter 986: Chapter 986: Sis, You Have to Be Careful of Your Husband Becoming Someone Else’s Husband Luo Ziling reprimanded those two people, the very ones who had stepped forward to ridicule him upon his arrival but later scurried into the ward, eagerly watching him provide treatment. Those were the senior Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners.
Throughout his treatment, these two kept asking endless questions, annoying him to death.
He casually threw a few questions at them, but these so-called experts, with the title of Chief Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, shockingly didn’t know any of the answers.
At that moment, Luo Ziling grew angry, berating them for their chatter during his treatment which disrupted him, and for their lack of scholarly pursuit, failing to put forth effort in researching traditional medicine and only knowing how to apply ready-made solutions.
Just now they didn’t even apologize, which made him even angrier, so he went straight over and gave them a thorough dressing-down without regard for their dignity.
The two doctors, at least in their fifties, were dumbfounded by Luo Ziling’s scolding, but in the end, they didn’t dare to talk back.
For today, they truly witnessed Luo Ziling’s exquisite acupuncture skill, the legendary Taiyi Divine Needle, along with Burning Mountain Fire, Piercing Sky Cooling, and several other techniques. Mastering just one of these skills would qualify a practitioner as an acupuncture master. Having practiced medicine for so many years, they hadn’t learned even one; they only knew some less-renowned techniques. Not to mention, their proficiency in acupuncture was nowhere near Luo Ziling’s.
Luo Ziling’s acupuncture skill was simply an art form, his needle insertion as smooth as clouds and flowing water, which left them mesmerized. They were also fortunate enough to see the prescriptions Luo Ziling wrote, the combinations of medicine he used, which they had never considered, but were immediately impressed upon seeing.
After seeing Luo Ziling’s prescriptions, they felt that such methods should indeed be used to treat these patients, regretting why they hadn’t thought of it before.
They were also very curious about the medicinal ingredient Luo Ziling did not reveal.
They had originally intended to ask Luo Ziling in detail after he woke up.
But to their surprise, Luo Ziling publicly scolded them.
After scolding them, Luo Ziling went straight to Wu Mingyun’s side, “Dean Wu, I’m going to check on their condition again.”
“Sure, I’ll accompany you,” Wu Mingyun readily agreed.
The head of the respiratory department also immediately agreed to follow.
The pretty nurse named Lin Qingyan, whose shift had actually ended, didn’t wash up and leave, but continued to stay in the ward.
Upon hearing that Luo Ziling was going to make rounds again, she quickly followed, ready to assist Luo Ziling once more.
Just after Luo Ziling had finished his treatment, he had actually fainted in her arms.
The delightful sensation of holding Luo Ziling lingered with her, and she even hoped he would faint again so she could hold him once more. However, this time Luo Ziling did not administer any acupuncture, only checking their vital signs.
The nurse was quite disappointed, certain Luo Ziling wouldn’t faint in her arms again.
Wu Mingyun and the head of the respiratory department interpreted some of the data from the cardiac monitor for Luo Ziling to listen to, and based on what they said and his own examination, he made a judgment about the condition.
After the check-up, Luo Ziling said to Wu Mingyun, “Dean Wu, the patients’ condition will be even better tomorrow. The prescription I wrote is for one day’s dosage, and I will come back tomorrow evening to administer the medicine based on the situation. If any patient’s condition hasn’t improved significantly, then I’ll give them acupuncture treatment. In case of any emergencies, please notify me immediately.”
“Okay,” Wu Mingyun readily agreed.
After making the rounds again, it was already ten-thirty in the evening.
While Luo Ziling was making his rounds, most of those experts outside had already left. The two Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners who were scolded by Luo Ziling initially wanted to stay and seek advice from Luo Ziling, but after the scolding, they didn’t have the face to stick around and left dejectedly.
Zhang Guodong also left, having been humiliated in front of Luo Ziling today, plus with the patient’s condition effectively relieved, he certainly wouldn’t stay here any longer.
Li Mingxun had left earlier due to some matters, and Luo Ziling did not see him when he came out. However, during the ward rounds with Wu Mingyun, Li Mingxun called Wu Mingyun. Only after the examination concluded did Wu Mingyun call Li Mingxun back to report the situation.
“Hehe, this kid is really impressive; we need to consult him more,” Li Mingxun said to Wu Mingyun over the phone.
Wu Mingyun felt the same way, “We really should consult with him properly, it seems like he’s even more talented than Mr. Luo was back in the day.”
“The student surpasses the master, huh.”
Luo Ziling didn’t care about the two old men blowing his trumpet over the phone, he just washed his hands and got ready to leave.
Wu Mingyun personally escorted Luo Ziling to the elevator doors and once again expressed his sincere thanks.
As he prepared to say goodbye to Wu Mingyun, Luo Ziling pulled him aside and whispered, “Dean Wu, I need a favor from you.”
“What favor? Just say the word, and if it’s within my power, I’ll definitely help you!” Wu Mingyun agreed readily.
“Final exams are coming up soon, and should I fail any subject, you’ll have to help me out,” Luo Ziling said with a troubled expression, “I don’t understand calculus at all, I’m not interested in Marxism-Leninism, and in English, I only recognize the twenty-six letters. I have inherent weaknesses!”
“Hehe, you are an outstanding student; I haven’t seen anyone better than you among the first-year students,” Wu Mingyun said with profound meaning, patting Luo Ziling’s shoulder before turning and leaving.
Wu Mingyun didn’t explicitly promise to help, which left Luo Ziling a bit crazy, but after thinking about it, he soon laughed it off.
“Brother-in-law, what favor did you ask Dean Wu for?” Yang Qingye asked quietly in the elevator: “Did you want him to teach a lesson to someone else who bullied you?”
“No,” Luo Ziling shook his head, “You have three guesses. Two chances left!”
“I can’t guess,” Yang Qingye shook his head.
“If you can’t guess, you’re buying late-night snacks.”
“Alright,” Yang Qingye reluctantly agreed.
“Are you afraid of failing?” Yang Qingyin teased Luo Ziling with a smile.
Luo Ziling didn’t answer but just gave Yang Qingyin a thumbs up.
“Wow, brother-in-law, you can do that?” Yang Qingye exclaimed all of a sudden, “Otherwise, I should also transfer schools, take up studying medicine, so I don’t need to worry about failing exams.”
Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin rolled their eyes at Yang Qingye and ignored him.
“Sister, brother-in-law, let’s go have late-night snacks,” after getting out of the elevator, Yang Qingye said with a giggle to Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin: “It’s late today, after we eat, don’t go back to the school. The apartment building is closed anyway, why not just rent a room outside?”
Seeing Yang Qingye’s sleazy expression when he said this, Yang Qingyin of course knew what he was implying, and her face turned red with rage, ready to teach Yang Qingye a lesson.
Yang Qingye turned and fled, shouting as he ran, “Sister, you have to try your hardest to hold onto your brother-in-law! Didn’t you see, today that pretty nurse wanted to throw herself at him. If you don’t beat them to it, my brother-in-law will become someone else’s husband.”
Yang Qingye actually shouted something like this in public, making Yang Qingyin have murderous thoughts.
