Chapter 951 - Chapter 951 Chapter 951 Youre Truly a Casanova

Chapter 951: Chapter 951 You’re Truly a Casanova Chapter 951: Chapter 951 You’re Truly a Casanova Luo Ziling of course didn’t know that what seemed like a random scuffle today was actually someone’s meticulous design.

He thought it was just a moment of impulsiveness caused by student jealousy, and that it would all be over after it passed.

Cao Jianhui and the others also believed this was the case.

What they did not expect, however, was the police’s intervention.

As they sat down again and had just started to eat hot pot, two police cars arrived at the scene, and several officers descended from the vehicles and headed directly towards their table.

“We received a call about a fight here with injuries,” a middle-aged officer in the lead approached Luo Ziling’s table and asked coldly, “We hope you can cooperate with us and come back with us to assist in the investigation.”

“It was those guys from the sports college who started trouble on purpose,” Cao Jianhui jumped up excitedly and explained to the officers, “We were injured by them, and it was only with the help of others that we managed to drive them away.”

“We will take both parties involved in the incident to the police station to cooperate with our investigation,” the middle-aged officer looked at Cao Jianhui indifferently and then ordered the officers behind him, “Take them away.”

Upon hearing that they were going to the police station, Wang Qian immediately turned pale, and Wu Longjiang, who was sitting next to her, also seemed a bit frightened.

Although they were usually quite bold, they had few encounters with the police and could say they were all afraid of contact with them.

If they were taken to the station, they would certainly be afraid, worrying about losing their personal freedom.

Luo Ziling too stood up and asked the middle-aged officer, “Which sub-bureau are you from? Can I see your identification?”

Luo Ziling responded calmly, completely different from several of the other students, which took the middle-aged policeman aback.

“When conducting official duties, if the subject of the operation requests the executing officers to present their badges, you are obliged to do so, is that correct?” Luo Ziling spoke neither humbly nor arrogant, “Actually, the skirmish was just a minor matter, students fighting is quite common. Schools handle such matters, there’s no need for police involvement, is there?”

“When someone reports an incident, it is our duty to handle it,” the officer, aware of Luo Ziling’s unusual status, did not act tough, showed his police officer ID to Luo Ziling briefly, and introduced himself simply, “We are under the jurisdiction of the Haiding Sub-bureau. Alright, can you cooperate with us and come with us now?”

“Let me make a phone call first,” Luo Ziling naturally did not want to go to the police station; it was cold and by the time they finished at the station and returned, it would be who knows what time–a real hassle.

He also did not want to intimidate the police with his Dragon Rise credentials, but instead called Ouyang Feifei, hoping she could help with a connection.

The officer did not make it difficult for Luo Ziling and let him make his call.

Ouyang Feifei must have been holding her phone just then because before Luo Ziling even heard the ring, she answered the call.

After hearing what Luo Ziling had to say, Ouyang Feifei did not ask much but assured him that she would have someone take care of the matter immediately.

“Can you come with us now?” The officer’s attitude had not changed despite Luo Ziling making the call, still inviting them to get on the police car to the station.

“Can we wait another five minutes?” Luo Ziling smiled at the officer, “I think you will change your attitude very soon.”

“I’m sorry, but it’s correct that you cooperate with us, it’s your obligation,” the officer said with a darkened expression, ordering the waiting officers to take Luo Ziling and his group to the police cars.

Just then, Luo Ziling’s phone rang with an unfamiliar number.

He still answered it immediately.

“Mr. Luo, I’m Li Qingyang from the Haiding Sub-bureau,” the person on the other end identified himself, then instructed Luo Ziling to hand the phone to the police officer who had come out.

Remembering who Li Qingyang was, Luo Ziling confidently held his phone out to the officer, “Someone named Li Qingyang wants to speak with you.”

“Director Li?” The officer’s expression changed and, in the end, he did not refuse but took Luo Ziling’s phone.

After listening for a few moments, the officer’s expression changed again, though it was unclear what Li Qingyang had instructed as he kept responding with agreement.

The officer handed the phone back to Luo Ziling without disconnecting the call.

“Mr. Luo, I will personally look into this matter,” Li Qingyang whispered a few more words after Luo Ziling answered the phone.

Luo Ziling expressed his thanks, “Thank you, Director Li, for personally looking into this matter. I will be sure to visit and express my gratitude in person one day.”

“Not at all. This is my personal number; you can call me directly if anything comes up.”

“Alright!”

After Luo Ziling ended the call, the officer no longer requested that they go to the police station to cooperate with the investigation. Instead, he allowed Luo Ziling and his companions to recount the incident. No matter what, since they had responded to the call, the statements of the parties involved were still needed, and they had to understand what happened. This was a necessary procedure.

Luo Ziling didn’t give the officers a hard time, had Cao Jianhui and the others narrate what had happened, and briefly mentioned the events after he had become involved. After recording their statements, the police had them sign and leave their phone numbers before leaving.

After the police had gone, Luo Ziling and the others sat down to continue eating and drinking, but the group no longer felt like making a ruckus and just ate a little before heading back to school. As they left the hot pot restaurant, Yang Xiaodong emerged again.

Luo Ziling asked Cao Jianhui and the others to head back first, knowing Yang Xiaodong had something to say.

“Comrade Young Master, don’t you find it strange,” Yang Xiaodong didn’t joke this time but spoke seriously, “All these policemen came, two cars, five uniformed officers, several auxiliary police, even armed. For a simple brawl, is it really necessary to cause such a big commotion?”

After listening, Luo Ziling was taken aback and countered, “You think this was a deliberately orchestrated event?”

“I can’t be certain, nor can I deny it,” Yang Xiaodong replied, “I have already told Dull Bird about what happened earlier so that he can investigate.”

“Alright, you’ve worked hard,” Luo Ziling patted Yang Xiaodong on the shoulder and smiled, “There probably won’t be anything tonight; go back and get some sleep. I’m going to visit Ouyang Feifei at noon tomorrow; you’ll come with me.”

“Okay,” Yang Xiaodong immediately showed a smile, his eyes towards Luo Ziling expressing something different, but he eventually blurted out, “Comrade Young Master, you really have the charm!”

Before Luo Ziling could react, Yang Xiaodong had already left, leaving only his silhouette behind.

“Am I charming?” Luo Ziling shook his head with a wry smile, “If I were charming, then I wouldn’t still be a virgin.”

Suddenly reflective, he thought that it was about time to shed the label of a virgin.
