Chapter 949 - Chapter 949 Chapter 949 Come Save Us
Chapter 949: Chapter 949: Come Save Us Chapter 949: Chapter 949: Come Save Us Luo Ziling and Ouyang Feifei left the hotel at eleven o’clock in the evening.
“When will you come over tomorrow?” As they walked out of the room, Ouyang Feifei asked softly and suggested, “Why not join us for lunch or dinner? Watching the snow scene from the glass room should be quite delightful.”
There was a room within Ouyang Feifei’s villa, surrounded by transparent walls.
This room was rarely used. But now that it was snowing, Ouyang Feifei suddenly thought of a use for it. Sitting in the transparent glass room, having a little drink while watching the falling snowflakes or enjoying the snowy landscape around, the experience would be rather nice.
Seeing Ouyang Feifei looking at him with hopeful eyes, Luo Ziling ultimately couldn’t bear to refuse.
After thinking for a while, Luo Ziling said, “How about noon? I’ll come over and have lunch with you. It’s dark in the evening, and no matter how beautiful the snow scene outside, it won’t be clear.”
“Great, I’ll have someone prepare lunch.”
By the time the two of them came down, Wang Qing was already waiting there.
Ouyang Feifei suggested that Luo Ziling get in the car with her, and she would drop him off at the university first.
Luo Ziling didn’t refuse, got into Ouyang Feifei’s car, and let her drive him back to the university.
Just as Luo Ziling got out of Ouyang Feifei’s car and was about to walk into the university, his phone rang.
When he saw the caller ID, it was unexpectedly from Cao Jianhui.
“Boss, where are you? Get over here quick, there’s a fight,” Cao Jianhui’s voice was very urgent, and through the phone, a loud quarrel could be heard as well.
“What happened?” Luo Ziling was taken aback.
“Hurry over to Liangchen Hotpot Restaurant,” Cao Jianhui said these words, let out a scream, and then the call was disconnected.
Luo Ziling didn’t hesitate, immediately ran out of the university, and sprinted towards the hotpot restaurant.
The snow had temporarily stopped, but the temperature was even lower. The snow that had melted on the ground had already turned into ice, making the icy road slippery. However, having spent several years in the small mountain village in the Northwest, Luo Ziling was well adapted to this kind of environment. He didn’t slip on the ice as he bolted, only slightly slowing down his speed.
In less than five minutes, Luo Ziling had dashed to the hotpot restaurant.
At the entrance of the hotpot restaurant, the spacious open area was filled with onlookers, and some people’s shouts could be heard intermittently.
This area was originally an open space, but the owner of the hotpot restaurant set up a tent overhead, turning this space into part of the restaurant. It could accommodate a lot of things and seated customers who liked to eat outdoors. Now, this place had become the scene of a fight.
Luo Ziling pushed through the people blocking the front and charged in.
He saw that Cao Jianhui and Li Fuming had been knocked to the ground, and Wu Longjiang was wrestling with a fairly sturdy-looking guy.
Despite Wu Longjiang’s slightly crazy attempts to fight back, due to the significant difference in size, he was clearly at a disadvantage.
Without saying a word, Luo Ziling rushed forward and grabbed the sturdy guy’s arm, rescuing Wu Longjiang amidst his opponent’s pained reaction.
Upon Luo Ziling’s arrival, Cao Jianhui and Li Fuming, who had been hiding in a corner, suddenly got up from the ground and gathered around Luo Ziling.
Before Luo Ziling could ask what had happened, a few people from the other side had already surrounded them.
There were five of them in total, all large and muscular, probably trained in martial arts, their movements and presence distinctly unlike ordinary students.
“Damn it, what does it matter if you called for backup?” the guy whose arm Luo Ziling had pinched in pain strode forward aggressively, pointing his thick finger at Luo Ziling and his three friends, “You dare to compete with us, are you tired of living?”
With that, the five charged at them, ready to beat Luo Ziling and his group.
Luo Ziling was angry, although he hadn’t figured out what was going on yet, he couldn’t hold back and made the first move in response to their arrogance.
With a “bang,” the boy who had been pointing at Luo Ziling was kicked into the air by Luo Ziling, knocking aside two of his nearby companions several steps.
Luo Ziling didn’t give them a chance to fight back, a kick or a punch, before the onlooking students could even see what was happening, had the five of them down. Tables and chairs were knocked over, and the scene was in total disarray. The whole process took less than two minutes.
Fortunately, the shop owner saw the fight and quickly instructed the waiters to clear away the hotpots diners were using, lest the scalding base spill out and burn someone, which would have been a real hassle.
The previously noisy scene suddenly became quiet, save for the groans of the few men on the ground, there were no other sounds.
Everyone was stunned.
Some recognized Luo Ziling, having heard about how he threw a group of Yan University sports students into the pool. Today, having seen Luo Ziling fight with their own eyes, his movements so dashing and neat, it was an eye-opener for them.
A group of girls who had been watching the excitement couldn’t help but scream at the sight of Luo Ziling’s dashing way of fighting.
“What happened?” Luo Ziling finally asked Cao Jianhui, “Why did you get into a fight with someone?”
“They started it,” Cao Jianhui said with a sense of grievance, “We were just eating hotpot when they came in and started cursing at us, wanting to teach us a lesson.”
“Who are these people? Students or thugs?”
“Students from a nearby sports college,” Cao Jianhui hesitated before saying, “Wu Longjiang is pursuing a girl from the Chinese department, Wang Qian, and a fellow student from her hometown in the sports college is also chasing her. They heard that Wu Longjiang is getting close to Wang Qian, so they came looking for trouble.”
Wu Longjiang, referred to as “Boss Three,” was someone Luo Ziling was yet to know had picked a target and started the pursuit.
“Where is Wang Qian?” Luo Ziling asked quietly.
“She came out with us for supper tonight. When the conflict started, she ran away; we told her to go first,” Cao Jianhui pointed at Wu Longjiang, “Wu Longjiang got slapped by one of them.”
“Just hit back,” Luo Ziling said angrily after finding out who had slapped Wu Longjiang. He walked over, picked up the man who couldn’t get up, and instructed Wu Longjiang, “However he hit you, you hit him back.”
Wu Longjiang wiped his slightly swollen face and obediently walked over. He raised his hand and heavily slapped the student who had slapped him. Finding it insufficient to relieve his anger, he followed up with a backhand slap.
The two slaps were heavy, the sound loud, and the cheeks of the slapped student instantly swelled.
“Damn it, how dare you hit me,” the student still had some fight in him, though being restrained by Luo Ziling, he didn’t forget to threaten, “Just you wait, we’ll see how we deal with you.”
“Losing a fight and still being so tough, seems like you didn’t learn enough of a lesson today,” Luo Ziling said, and then he delivered a knee strike to the student’s abdomen.
The guy could no longer put up a tough front, screamed miserably, and instantly turned pale. His body curled up and Luo Ziling threw him to the ground, where he collapsed.
“Get lost,” Cao Jianhui said triumphantly, acting as if he had the upper hand, “If you dare to mess with us again, you’ll end up just like this. You really thought you could fight well, but against our boss, a single finger is enough to wipe you out.”
But just then, a group of people charged in from outside, bellowing fiercely, “Who hit our classmate, come out here.”
