Chapter 1374: Chapter 1374: Must Have Done Something They Shouldn’t Have Done
Luo Ziling woke up before dawn.
As he opened his eyes and gazed at the still dark room, he felt a bit out of it, lying there dazedly for a while before remembering that he had drunk too much, seemed to have vomited, and then slept in a complete stupor.
It seemed like he even had a pleasant dream while asleep.
Upon getting up, he noticed something unusual about the bed and his body, but didn’t pay much attention to it, attributing it to the drunkenness.
He quickly took a shower and washed his hair as well.
Wrapped in a bathrobe, he went out to dry his hair and picked up his mobile phone to check it.
He was incredibly surprised once he looked at it.
It was already five in the afternoon on the second day of the Lunar New Year.
He remembered that on the night of the first day, he was made to drink excessively by four beautiful women, and having not kept his alcohol intake in check, he came back and vomited profoundly. After vomiting, he forgot to take his hangover medicine and just slept deeply while still drunk.
What he didn’t expect at all was that he had slept through the entire night and the following day.
Fortunately, his head didn’t hurt, and after taking a bath, he recalled many things.
He was internally blaming the women who had made him drink last night.
Ouyang Huihui and Luo Yuqing were the main culprits, Ouyang Feifei was an accomplice, and Wuyue had taken better care of him, not forcing him to drink.
Luo Ziling decided that later, he would go out and properly settle the matter with them.
There were quite a few messages on his phone. Luo Ziling first opened Yang Qingyin’s messages and found that this woman had sent him dozens of messages, including photos and text messages. The photos were naturally taken by her during her outing, with solo pictures of herself and also pictures with Yang Qingye.
Luo Ziling noted a hint of complaint in Yang Qingyin’s messages and hurriedly explained, saying that he was made to drink last night, and after drinking over ten kilograms of yellow wine, he became unconscious.
This was the first time he had been in such a sorry state, and he felt extremely depressed.
But he didn’t receive a reply from Yang Qingyin. Checking the time and calculating the time difference, he felt it was probably still before dawn there, so he didn’t mind.
He saw that there were still many people who had sent messages.
He opened each one to check.
He directly skipped over the congratulatory messages, paying them no mind.
The messages from Ouyang Feifei were sent at noon today, several of them.
Luo Ziling was very surprised when he saw the messages Ouyang Feifei sent him.
Ouyang Feifei mentioned in the messages that she and Ouyang Huihui had to return to the Capital early as Grandfather Ouyang Lingyun would be staying in Yuezhou for a few more days. There was a sudden matter she needed to attend to back home; if she had time, she might come back.
After thinking it over, Luo Ziling also replied to her message, saying he had just woken up.
Finally, he also accused Ouyang Feifei and Ouyang Huihui of making him drunk, saying he had a mishap last night.
But he didn’t receive a reply from Ouyang Feifei.
There were also messages from Luo Yuqing.
In the messages, Luo Yuqing told Luo Ziling that she was worried about her mother being alone in the Capital. Since the holidays were over, she decided to go back and accompany her mother, so she returned to the Capital with Ouyang Feifei and the others.
She asked Luo Ziling to inform her after getting the paternity test results, so she would know the outcome.
Seeing that there were also several missed calls, some from Ling Ruonan and others from unsaved numbers in the contact list.
Luo Ziling ignored the calls from strangers and returned a call to Ling Ruonan.
The phone rang for quite a while before it was picked up.
"Ling’er, are you awake?" Ling Ruonan’s voice sounded calm, as if suppressing something.
"Mom, I drank too much this time and slept so long," Luo Ziling was embarrassed, "I’d never thought I could get drunk before; I’ve never been drunk in the past."
"Drink less from now on," Ling Ruonan gently chided, then asked with concern, "Are you hungry? I’ll bring you something to eat."
After agreeing, Luo Ziling then hung up the phone.
He got up to find some clothes to wear.
He found that the clothes he wore last night had all been washed and the items from his pockets were placed on the coffee table.
There was also a whole set of clean clothes on the sofa, likely prepared by Ling Ruonan.
His room wasn’t locked; as long as anyone could enter the outer room, they could easily access his room.
Living next door to Luo Yuqing, both of them had room cards, so it was very convenient for others to enter.
Luo Ziling didn’t suspect anything else and got dressed.
After dressing, he went to tidy up the quilt.
A gentle knock on the door sounded, and when Luo Ziling was startled, he quickly straightened the quilt and went to open the door. Ling Ruonan was standing at the doorway with Wuyue following behind her.
Ling Ruonan was casually dressed, wearing a sweater on top and a thick long skirt below.
Luo Ziling wasn’t sure if the room was warm due to the air conditioning or if it was because she had Luo Xusheng by her side these days, but Ling Ruonan’s complexion looked quite good.
However, her expression wasn’t excited; it was similar to her usual expression at work, quite expressionless.
This made Luo Ziling even more anxious; he felt that he had done something wrong, causing Ling Ruonan to become like this.
Following behind Ling Ruonan, Wuyue had a plate full of food in her hands.
After placing the plate down, she didn’t look at Luo Ziling, instead whispered something to Ling Ruonan and then left.
"Mom, I didn’t expect to have slept until the evening of the second day," Luo Ziling sat down next to Ling Ruonan, his head bowed and hesitantly spoke, "I forgot to take my hangover medicine, the frequent exchange of hot and cold air was unbearable, and I couldn’t help but vomit. I don’t know what happened, and my mind was a blank when I woke up."
"Let’s have dinner first," Ling Ruonan sighed softly, "This is preserved egg porridge, and there’s also a bowl of noodles, a bit of stomach nourishing soup. You must be hungry after not eating for so long."
Seeing Ling Ruonan’s somewhat odd expression as she spoke, Luo Ziling felt an even stronger sense of unease.
He knew that he must have done something that everyone found difficult to mention.
