The snow was quite heavy. Inside the headlight beams, it was all densely packed snowflakes, and there was also snow accumulated on the road, though fortunately not too thick.

The driver was pretty good, keeping the car stable, but didn’t dare to speed, fearing losing control.

Ouyang Huihui had just said that the taxi she was in had left the city and was coming from the direction of Orchid Pavilion on the provincial road.

After entering the provincial road, Luo Ziling called Ouyang Huihui to ask her exact location.

But Ouyang Huihui didn’t answer the phone, it was the same after two calls. Finally, Ouyang Feifei sent a message, furiously scolding Ouyang Huihui, and said she would report this to Grandpa to punish her.

Luo Ziling quickly spotted a taxi parked on the roadside. Upon seeing the taxi, he immediately instructed the driver to stop the car and got out quickly.

"Thank you for bringing her here," Luo Ziling thanked the driver and took Ouyang Huihui’s luggage. He then took her hand, preparing to help her out of the car.

"I rushed out and forgot to bring enough cash," Ouyang Huihui said, looking embarrassed, "I don’t have enough cash on me to pay the taxi fare."

Luo Ziling took out his wallet and gave all the money inside to the taxi driver: "Thank you. Here’s the fare."

Luo Ziling had about two thousand yuan in his wallet, which was more than needed for the taxi fare even on New Year’s Eve from Yuezhou North Station.

The driving auntie counted out five bills and returned the rest of the money to Luo Ziling: "Five hundred is enough, no need for so much."

"Auntie, it’s New Year’s Eve, finish up early and go back to be with your family. Have a good New Year’s Eve dinner and a reunion drink," Luo Ziling didn’t take the money, pulled Ouyang Huihui out and closed the car door.

Ouyang Huihui opened the door, thanked the driving auntie again, then clutched Luo Ziling’s hand tightly, unwilling to let go.

After getting into the car, the driver immediately turned around and headed towards the Luo Family Old Mansion.

This place was just about three kilometers away from the Luo Family Old Mansion.

"Have you had dinner?" Luo Ziling asked Ouyang Huihui.

"No!" Ouyang Huihui replied miserably, "I wanted to see you as soon as possible, so I got off and looked for a car immediately. For safety, I only chose cars driven by female drivers, which delayed me quite a bit. "Okay," Ouyang Huihui was moved by Luo Ziling’s concern. Instantly, it warmed her heart, and the fear she felt while making her bold move earlier turned into a feeling of warmth and even happiness.
