"Luo Ziling, you’re such a jerk," Luo Ziling’s phone received a message from Ouyang Feifei.

"I’m a jerk indeed, a heartbreaker at that," Luo Ziling replied with a chuckle.

But no further messages came from Ouyang Feifei, leaving him a bit disappointed.

Just now, after teasing Ouyang Feifei and making that comment "Then get on top of me," he had his way with her using his hands and mouth, taking advantage of her softened state before coolly making his exit.

Every time he left Ouyang Feifei in a flustered and pliable state, it gave Luo Ziling an intense sense of achievement.

Both Luo Xusheng and Ling Ruonan had agreed and promised to be in Yuezhou on New Year’s Eve.

After the chat with Luo Liansheng, Luo Ziling also phoned Ling Ruonan to discuss these matters.

Ling Ruonan already had a rough idea of the situation; she didn’t blame Luo Ziling but instead praised him for being thoughtful in handling the matter.

Ling Ruonan instructed over the phone that since Grandfather wished to stay in Yuezhou, Luo Ziling should stay and keep Grandfather company, helping him out. Luo Ziling followed Ling Ruonan’s instructions, planning to stay in Yuezhou until after the New Year.

He also agreed with Luo Liansheng that after the New Year, he would return to the Capital with Ling Ruonan to help check up on Yang Yuanshan’s health.

Today’s plan, naturally, was to visit the old house.

Luo Ziling also told Luo Liansheng that after arriving at the old house, they would go stroll to the Orchid Pavilion.

It was essential to visit the famous Calligraphy Holy Land that was within such close proximity.

Luo Liansheng had no objections.

Luo Liansheng loved calligraphy and was excellent at both running and regular script. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to teach Luo Ziling to become such a skilled calligrapher.

In the morning, there wasn’t the heavy snow that Luo Ziling had expected, and the roads were not blocked by snow. However, the grass and cars had a thick layer of snow on them. The snow continued to fall, fine and dense, shrouding the world in a hazy white veil.

"It looks like it’s going to snow heavily today," Luo Liansheng squinted at the sky as he prepared to leave, stating his prediction and laughing, "Snow is nice too; the snow scenery at the Orchid Pavilion has quite a charm."

Wearing a bright red trench coat, her hair tied back in a simple ponytail, and with knee-high boots, Ouyang Feifei smiled and picked up on Luo Liansheng’s words, "If the snow piles up, let’s build a snowman at the Orchid Pavilion. Grandfather Luo, I’ll take more pictures of you and have them developed to hang up in the old house."

"That would be nice," Grandfather Luo unexpectedly didn’t decline Ouyang Feifei’s offer and smiled in agreement.

Instead of taking the Bentley limousine arranged by Ouyang Feifei, the group took a Land Rover Range Rover.

In this kind of weather, a four-wheel drive was more practical.

Wang Zhenjun drove, with Luo Ziling on the passenger seat, and Ouyang Feifei and Luo Liansheng seated behind them.

Yang Xiaodong, with Wang Qing, drove ahead of them, while a few other bodyguards followed in a separate vehicle.

When the car arrived at Lou Village, Luo Ziling saw numerous vehicles delivering renovation materials parked in the old house’s grain drying yard.

In the snow, many people were busy working, including the manager responsible for the decorative business of the southern division.

Seeing Ouyang Feifei and Wang Qing both show up at the entrance of the old house, the manager, who was inside directing work, immediately ran over to report the situation. However, Ouyang Feifei didn’t pay much attention and simply told the manager to carry on with his work while they took a look around.

Luo Liankai and Luo Lianguan were directing the moving company’s staff to organize the things inside the house. When they saw Luo Liansheng come over with Luo Ziling and Ouyang Feifei, they too dropped what they were doing to talk with them.

Luo Ziling simply greeted them and then wandered around the old house with Ouyang Feifei.

He was surprised to find that, in just one day of absence, the Luo Family’s old house had undergone massive changes.

All the trash and useless clutter had been cleared out, and the previously chaotic state was nowhere to be seen.

Although many places were still quite dilapidated, they now looked remarkably neat and clean.

Especially the backyard, it was as if it had completely changed.

The backyard was originally overgrown, and the buildings along its perimeter seemed very dilapidated. When Luo Ziling visited the day before yesterday, he felt there was nowhere to set foot.

He had even felt melancholic about it at the time.

But today he was astonished to see that the dead grass and shrubs, as well as some wild trees in the garden, had all been cleared away. After cleaning up the garbage, the whole garden was washed with water, leaving not a trace of disarray.

Originally, there was a pond in the backyard, but the last time he visited, it was completely obscured by overgrown weeds.

Seeing the clear water in the pond, Luo Ziling immediately felt that the old house had been infused with new life.

The backyard pond was more or less redug as well, which was less trouble than dealing with the front garden.

But Ouyang Feifei was still very determined, believing that the backyard could definitely be occupied before the New Year.

"I trust your taste, and I trust Wang Qing’s judgment," Luo Ziling smiled and said, "I really like your family’s villa. This place should be bigger than yours, which makes it even better to arrange."

"That’s settled then," Ouyang Feifei smiled, "your grandfather also let me make decisions, and since you’re saying the same, I will not hold back."

Ouyang Feifei nodded with a smile.

"Looks like he really likes you!"

Ouyang Feifei blushed slightly but ignored Luo Ziling’s comment, "Can you take me to the Orchid Pavilion later?"

"No problem!"

"You have the final say because you’re the big CEO!"

Luo Ziling’s remark earned him another eyeroll from Ouyang Feifei.
