Luo Ziling simply cooked a bowl of instant noodles in the kitchen as lunch.

Before he could finish the instant noodles, his phone rang again.

It was a call from Ouyang Feifei, and he picked it up immediately.

“Ziling, are you at home?” Ouyang Feifei’s voice sounded very gentle.

However, hearing Ouyang Feifei’s gentle voice made Luo Ziling feel somewhat uneasy.

“I’m here, just woke up from a nap and eating instant noodles,” he honestly answered Ouyang Feifei’s question, and before Ouyang Feifei could ask anything else, he retorted, “You’re not planning to come over again, are you?”

Ouyang Feifei hesitated for a moment, but did not deny Luo Ziling’s words: “I’m about to arrive at your neighborhood. Huihui is with me, and we both wanted to come over to see you. I’ll be going on a business trip tomorrow and might not be back for a few days. I wanted to see you before I leave.”

Soon, Luo Ziling saw Ouyang Feifei’s fleet driving into his villa area.

Stepping out of the house, he saw Ouyang Feifei in ordinary attire and Ouyang Huihui dressed beautifully getting out of the car.

Ouyang Feifei was wearing simple jeans, a yellow turtleneck sweater, a scarf around her neck, and a beige trench coat, dressed like the girl next door. Ouyang Huihui wore a gown and trench coat with boots, looking much more dazzling and stylish than Ouyang Feifei.

Ouyang Huihui was also holding a pot of blooming wintersweet flowers.

“Looking at your complexion, you’ve recovered quite well,” Ouyang Feifei said with a smile as Luo Ziling came out to greet them.

The smile was so bright that Luo Ziling was momentarily stunned.

“I only found out yesterday that you were injured,” Ouyang Huihui, holding the flowers, approached Luo Ziling and said apologetically: “I am really sorry that I didn’t come to visit.”

“It’s okay, having a chance to recuperate quietly is a good thing,” Luo Ziling took the wintersweet and invited Ouyang Feifei and Ouyang Huihui into the house, “My mom isn’t home, so just make yourselves comfortable. What tea would you like to drink?”

“You sit down and rest; I’ll handle it,” Ouyang Feifei said as she went to boil water and prepare the tea leaves. She then asked Luo Ziling, “What tea would you like? Longjing, black tea, or chrysanthemum tea?”

“Green tea,” Luo Ziling also stood up, “I should do it. It’s not proper for guests to do these things.”

“My sister doesn’t consider herself a guest,” Ouyang Huihui said disdainfully with a sneer, “She thinks she’s the host here.”

This naturally brought a fierce glare from Ouyang Feifei.

Stunned by her sister’s fierce glare, Ouyang Huihui immediately shut her mouth.

“Both Lu Lianda and Lu Weiguang are dead, things have become more complicated.” After brewing the tea, Ouyang Feifei sat next to Luo Ziling and said softly, “If I’m not mistaken, the person behind the curtain must have stopped this operation. They couldn’t have imagined that the Lu father and son would be so useless, failing to accomplish anything and making such a mess of things. I believe that person must now be frantic, busy trying to mend the situation.”

“Does that mean, if we investigate promptly, it’s very likely we could find some clues?”

Luo Ziling could understand the implied meaning in her words, and Ouyang Feifei was quite happy. She nodded lightly and then said, “That’s right. I’ve already had someone looking into it, hoping to find some clues.”

“Thank you for your effort,” Luo Ziling expressed his gratitude, then quickly added, “Actually, you don’t have to bother with this matter.”

“There might be plans targeting me, so I must investigate clearly,” Ouyang Feifei spoke with a resolute expression.

Seeing Luo Ziling and Ouyang Feifei talking to each other and ignoring her, Ouyang Huihui felt a bit annoyed and couldn’t help but make a sarcastic remark, “My sister still treats herself as your fiancee.”

“Ouyang Huihui, nobody would treat you as mute if you didn’t speak,” Ouyang Feifei got angry and couldn’t help but scold Ouyang Huihui in front of Luo Ziling.

Ouyang Huihui was forced to remain silent, but the grievance was clearly written on her face, and her pretty little mouth pouted quite a bit.

“Why don’t you wait for me in the car outside,” Ouyang Feifei was very angry, and she somewhat regretted bringing Ouyang Huihui to see Luo Ziling.

“Who knows if you’re discussing matters or doing something shameful behind my back.” After muttering this, Ouyang Huihui stood up and walked in front of the window, “Do whatever you want, just treat me as air.”

Luo Ziling and Ouyang Feifei ignored Ouyang Huihui’s discontent and went into the study, and Luo Ziling even locked the door from the inside.

Luo Ziling motioned for Ouyang Feifei to sit down and talk, then asked, “What matters can’t let your sister know?”

Ouyang Feifei didn’t sit down but stood facing Luo Ziling, “I think, using Lu Weiguang to target Yang Qingyin and trying to ruin her is just the first step. If they succeed, they will frame you or do something similar to shift the blame onto you, ultimately causing a more serious and direct conflict between the Yang Family and the Luo Family, and even dragging all the families involved.”

“Your assumption is based on the premise that the schemer is from the Yang Family, right?”

“Yes,” Ouyang Feifei nodded, “I also believe that it is other members of the Yang Family who have planned this. Of course, we can’t rule out members of the Chen Family or the Ling Family, or even a self-directed ploy by you.”

“It looks like you have thought quite complexly and thoroughly,” Luo Ziling stepped closer to Ouyang Feifei and asked seriously, “So do you believe this is a self-directed ploy by me?”

“I don’t believe,” Ouyang Feifei shook her head without hesitation, “but I can’t rule out that possibility.”

“Why don’t you say it’s a ploy directed by my mother? Or something you planned?”

Ouyang Feifei was stunned by Luo Ziling’s response.

You are jealous of Yang Qingyin, so you wanted to ruin her and then create even bigger conflicts between the Luo and Yang families, ensuring that Qingyin and I could no longer be together.” After suggesting this possibility, Luo Ziling’s face revealed a playful smile.

“Are you prepared to shirk responsibility?”
