The Humvee came at him so fast it gave Luo Ziling quite a scare.

He yanked open the passenger door of the Humvee and jumped in.

“What are you doing, driving so recklessly,” Luo Ziling complained angrily, “Trying to murder your own husband?”

Lin Lan didn’t expect Luo Ziling to start off by scolding her and was stunned for a moment before anger rose within her.

A pistol magically appeared in her hand, aimed directly at Luo Ziling: “Keep spouting nonsense, and see if I won’t blow your head off.”

“I don’t believe you,” Luo Ziling defiantly stared at Lin Lan, “Even with a hundred times the courage, you wouldn’t dare to shoot.”

Lin Lan grew even angrier and placed her finger on the trigger.

“The safety isn’t even off. Who are you trying to scare?” Luo Ziling snatched the gun from Lin Lan, “You taught me how to shoot, and I’ve studied quite a bit on my own; I’m very familiar with guns now, so don’t try to scare me with this thing ever again.”

Speaking, Luo Ziling tucked the gun back into the holster strapped to Lin Lan’s leg and, while she wasn’t looking, touched her face.
