Chapter 1135 - Chapter 1135 Chapter 1135 Hurry and Plan

Chapter 1135: Chapter 1135: Hurry and Plan Chapter 1135: Chapter 1135: Hurry and Plan Luo Ziling certainly believed that Chen Jiahai would seek revenge, since the Night North Bar had originally belonged to Chen Jiahai.

He had snatched the Night North Bar from Chen Jiahai’s hands, and if Chen Jiahai admitted defeat and did nothing, that would greatly underestimate his opponent.

Although Luo Ziling had gained the upper hand in his previous competitions with Chen Jiahai, Luo Ziling believed that Chen Jiahai wouldn’t rest until he had gotten even, and certainly had more tricks up his sleeve, vicious ones at that.

Today, Chen Jiahai’s coming to the bar to offer congratulations, and staying for a long time without leaving, was enough to show that the opponent was no ordinary person.

The trouble he encountered today probably wasn’t Chen Jiahai’s doing; if Chen Jiahai made a move, it likely wouldn’t be on such a petty scale.

Chen Xiaoyi’s reminder further confirmed Luo Ziling’s suspicions.

He felt that Chen Xiaoyi must have noticed something, which is why she kindly warned him.

He also didn’t want to make things too difficult for Chen Xiaoyi, so he didn’t ask further.

After all, Chen Xiaoyi and Chen Jiahai were siblings; asking her to betray her family ties was quite a cruel thing to do.

Seeing that Luo Ziling didn’t ask her anything, Chen Xiaoyi was a bit surprised and slightly resentful, thinking that Luo Ziling didn’t trust her.

“I’m not lying to you,” Chen Xiaoyi said through clenched teeth, “I just overheard him instructing someone to ruin you and take something back. Although I didn’t hear the full story, I can guess what it’s about.”

“Thank you very much,” Luo Ziling smiled at Chen Xiaoyi, “I’ll be careful.”

“Just properly thank me, that’s all.” Chen Xiaoyi rolled her eyes at Luo Ziling and then immediately added mysteriously, “Any plans for winter vacation? How about we go traveling together? Let’s go to Southeast Asia, somewhere warm.”

Luo Ziling was slightly taken aback, but he responded quickly and diplomatically, “During winter break, I might be a bit busy. My grandfather has been out gathering herbs recently, and he’ll be back in a few days. After he returns, I need to help him make medicines, and I’m not sure if I’ll be free. You should know that cold weather is the best time for making medicines. Those amazingly effective medicines are all produced during the coldest times.”

“You’re not going to be busy with all that during the New Year, are you?” Chen Xiaoyi was slightly disappointed but not disheartened.

“I’m not sure, we’ll see,” Luo Ziling said with a wry smile, “I often find myself with little control over my own time.”

“Then we’ll get in touch closer to the date,” Chen Xiaoyi never had the habit of giving up halfway. Once she had spoken about this plan, she intended to follow through.

As long as Luo Ziling didn’t outright reject her, she wouldn’t easily give up.

She also believed that as long as she did some favors for Luo Ziling, he would be grateful to her.

If he was grateful to her, he wouldn’t refuse contact with her.

With more contact with her, she would find an opportunity.

At worst, she could take a more proactive approach and present him with a fait accompli.

In these matters, Chen Xiaoyi was quite open-minded; she believed pursuing a man as a woman was easier than the reverse.

Being too coy as a woman could mean missing out on certain opportunities.

She could tell that the other women around Luo Ziling were more reserved than her, so she was still confident in herself.

If necessary, she could sacrifice her annoying brother’s interests in exchange for Luo Ziling’s favor.

On the scale between family and love, Chen Xiaoyi chose love.

It wasn’t that she didn’t value family. Rather, it was because she thoroughly despised her brother, Chen Jiahai’s character; she had profound contempt for him. Knowing some of the outrageous things Chen Jiahai had done, she longed for her brother to taste some lessons.

Without being taught a lesson, Chen Jiahai would never reflect upon himself nor repent.

As Luo Ziling and Chen Xiaoyi whispered about matters related to Chen Jiahai, Chen Jiahai made his excuses and left the Night North Bar.

When leaving, he bid farewell only to Ling Ruonan, Fang Dongxun, and Yang Qingye, and he didn’t bid his own sister and Luo Ziling goodbye.

He couldn’t bear to see his sister staying with Luo Ziling and even taking the initiative to approach him.

Out of sight, out of mind; hence, he left in anger without saying goodbye to them.

After Chen Jiahai left, one of his confidants, puzzled, came to him and asked, “Boss, are we just going to let the Night North Bar reopen like this?”

“Didn’t you see, they were fully prepared today,” Chen Jiahai replied irritably. “The incidents that occurred today might have been orchestrated by them, the purpose being to scare off others. Today, if we had caused any trouble, it would have played right into their hands. Fang Dongxun, Yang Qingye, and Ling Ruonan all appeared in person. Don’t you, with your pig brains, see that they were determined to make a show of force to intimidate others?”

“So that’s the case,” the subordinate finally understood but quickly asked again, puzzled, “Boss, what should we do then?”

“A bar is nothing,” Chen Jiahai chuckled and waved his hand, stopping his subordinate from continuing to ask questions.

After leaving the Night North Bar, Chen Jiahai didn’t go home but went elsewhere.

Though he appeared magnanimous while discussing the matter with his subordinates, not treating the change of ownership of the Night North Bar as anything significant, he was extremely irritated inside.

The Night North Bar being taken over by Luo Ziling, and Fang Dongxun and Yang Qingye becoming shareholders even though they knew the bar was originally his, was purely a slap in his face.

Also, his shameless sister, knowing that Luo Ziling was already involved with Yang Qingyin, still shamelessly approached him.

Because of Luo Ziling, he had a severe argument with Chen Xiaoyi, almost leading to a fallout.

Furious inside and unable to vent his status in front of his subordinates, he had to direct his anger elsewhere.

Upon arriving at another secretive residence, he began venting.

There lived a beautiful woman; as soon as he entered the room and the woman came to greet him, he violently tore off her clothes and forcefully violated her without any tenderness.

The woman felt very uncomfortable but dared not resist. She could only adjust her mindset to accommodate Chen Jiahai.

Fortunately for her, Chen Jiahai’s prowess in that arena was weak, and he succumbed in just a few minutes.

After the deed was done, as the woman leaned on Chen Jiahai on the couch, she carefully asked, “Boss, encountered something displeasing again? The Night North Bar matter?”

“How is your plan progressing?” Chen Jiahai briskly kneaded the woman’s body with his rough hands and said irritably, “Don’t tell me you haven’t planned it out yet.”

“Boss, there’s a conference on integrative Western and Chinese medicine in a few days. I saw Luo Ziling’s name on the attendee list. I plan to get acquainted with him there and then carry out the plan,” the beautiful woman said, laying out her intentions in detail.

Chen Jiahai, after listening, slightly relaxed his frown then further instructed the beautiful woman, “Hurry up with Wang Qing’s case too. And with Ouyang Feifei and Ouyang Huihui, you must succeed. Otherwise, you will lose everything you have now.”

The woman’s heart chilled, but ultimately, she obediently agreed, “Boss, I understand.”
