Luo Ziling was slightly taken aback, but he responded quickly and diplomatically, “During winter break, I might be a bit busy. My grandfather has been out gathering herbs recently, and he’ll be back in a few days. After he returns, I need to help him make medicines, and I’m not sure if I’ll be free. “You’re not going to be busy with all that during the New Year, are you?” Chen Xiaoyi was slightly disappointed but not disheartened.

“I’m not sure, we’ll see,” Luo Ziling said with a wry smile, “I often find myself with little control over my own time.”

“Then we’ll get in touch closer to the date,” Chen Xiaoyi never had the habit of giving up halfway. Once she had spoken about this plan, she intended to follow through.

As long as Luo Ziling didn’t outright reject her, she wouldn’t easily give up.

She also believed that as long as she did some favors for Luo Ziling, he would be grateful to her.

If he was grateful to her, he wouldn’t refuse contact with her.

With more contact with her, she would find an opportunity.

At worst, she could take a more proactive approach and present him with a fait accompli.

As Luo Ziling and Chen Xiaoyi whispered about matters related to Chen Jiahai, Chen Jiahai made his excuses and left the Night North Bar.

When leaving, he bid farewell only to Ling Ruonan, Fang Dongxun, and Yang Qingye, and he didn’t bid his own sister and Luo Ziling goodbye.

He couldn’t bear to see his sister staying with Luo Ziling and even taking the initiative to approach him.

Out of sight, out of mind; hence, he left in anger without saying goodbye to them.

After Chen Jiahai left, one of his confidants, puzzled, came to him and asked, “Boss, are we just going to let the Night North Bar reopen like this?”

“Didn’t you see, they were fully prepared today,” Chen Jiahai replied irritably. “The incidents that occurred today might have been orchestrated by them, the purpose being to scare off others. Today, if we had caused any trouble, it would have played right into their hands. Fang Dongxun, Yang Qingye, and Ling Ruonan all appeared in person. Don’t you, with your pig brains, see that they were determined to make a show of force to intimidate others?”

“So that’s the case,” the subordinate finally understood but quickly asked again, puzzled, “Boss, what should we do then?”

“A bar is nothing,” Chen Jiahai chuckled and waved his hand, stopping his subordinate from continuing to ask questions.

After leaving the Night North Bar, Chen Jiahai didn’t go home but went elsewhere.

Though he appeared magnanimous while discussing the matter with his subordinates, not treating the change of ownership of the Night North Bar as anything significant, he was extremely irritated inside.

The Night North Bar being taken over by Luo Ziling, and Fang Dongxun and Yang Qingye becoming shareholders even though they knew the bar was originally his, was purely a slap in his face.

Also, his shameless sister, knowing that Luo Ziling was already involved with Yang Qingyin, still shamelessly approached him.

Because of Luo Ziling, he had a severe argument with Chen Xiaoyi, almost leading to a fallout.

Furious inside and unable to vent his status in front of his subordinates, he had to direct his anger elsewhere.

Upon arriving at another secretive residence, he began venting.

There lived a beautiful woman; as soon as he entered the room and the woman came to greet him, he violently tore off her clothes and forcefully violated her without any tenderness.

The woman felt very uncomfortable but dared not resist. She could only adjust her mindset to accommodate Chen Jiahai.

“Boss, there’s a conference on integrative Western and Chinese medicine in a few days. I saw Luo Ziling’s name on the attendee list. I plan to get acquainted with him there and then carry out the plan,” the beautiful woman said, laying out her intentions in detail.

Chen Jiahai, after listening, slightly relaxed his frown then further instructed the beautiful woman, “Hurry up with Wang Qing’s case too. And with Ouyang Feifei and Ouyang Huihui, you must succeed. Otherwise, you will lose everything you have now.”
