Chapter 1072: Chapter 1072: Bad Feeling Chapter 1072: Chapter 1072: Bad Feeling Luo Ziling hadn’t forgotten his promise to Yang Qingyin. While he was in Yangcheng, he prepared some gifts for her.
Upon meeting Yang Qingyin, he first handed over a big bag of local specialties and some other souvenirs.
“You’re considerate,” Yang Qingyin glanced sideways at Luo Ziling with delight and accepted them.
Because she was at home, Yang Qingyin wore something light, just a sweater without even a coat on the outside, which fully revealed her graceful figure to Luo Ziling. He couldn’t help but take a few extra looks, but due to some scruples, he felt a bit embarrassed.
After Luo Ziling entered the room, Ye Xiaoli tactfully made herself scarce, not wanting to disturb their time together.
“Why did you come back early?” Once they sat down on the sofa, Yang Qingyin naturally leaned against Luo Ziling and teasingly asked, “Did a beautiful military flower reject you?”
“They’re all okay, much better than I expected,” Luo Ziling replied somewhat awkwardly, “After treating them, there was no need to stay longer. In a few days, they will return to the Capital, and I can continue their treatment after they arrive.”
“You’ll miss them, won’t you?!” Yang Qingyin continued with a hint of jealousy, “I really envy you, surrounded by beauties wherever you go, how lucky.”
“If you had come with me, you could’ve felt the joy too.”
“No thanks,” Yang Qingyin huffed, noticing Luo Ziling looked a bit downcast, she initially thought he might be tired, so she didn’t snap back but instead asked with concern, “Are you tired?”
“A bit,” Luo Ziling admitted, “After all, I traveled from the southernmost tip of our country back here, hours of flying. Going from one temperature to the other, with a difference of over thirty degrees, the blood vessels that had expanded suddenly contracted with the cold, which can lead to fatigue.”
“Is this how all medical students are? Can you explain everything with medical knowledge?” Yang Qingyin rolled her eyes at him and then asked sweetly, “Does that mean you’re about to go to sleep?”
If it had been any other day, Luo Ziling would have shamelessly hung around, reluctant to leave, but today, her suggestion made him actually want to go.
However, he didn’t leave right away; after an awkward smile, he said, “It’s still early, I’ll stay and chat with you for a while.”
“Did you really take those seniors as your teachers?” Yang Qingyin asked in a soft voice, “Did you truly impress them with your medical skills?”
“What’s so strange about that?” Luo Ziling said, suddenly proud, “They were skeptical of my acupuncture skill and even humiliated me publicly, but after I showed them up, they had to keep their promise.”
“So, they didn’t really want to study under you sincerely, it was just their pride on the line,” Yang Qingyin giggled, “I thought you had all those seniors following you at your command.”
“It’s complicated, perhaps my grandfather played a part, only I wasn’t aware of it.”
Yang Qingyin was surprised and after thinking it through, she laughed, “So your grandfather was creating momentum for you, hoping you’d make a greater impact in traditional medicine.”
“I’ll keep trying. In the following period, I need to practice acupuncture more, aiming to master the unique aspects of their skills. Healing the sick is an immeasurable good deed. No matter what, I won’t let my grandfather down and I’ll keep improving my medical skills. Saving more lives is a significant achievement in life. And if possible, through efforts, I’ll lead traditional medicine back to its glory.” Luo Ziling spoke seriously.
With a playful look, Yang Qingyin said, “I’m thinking, there must be two expectations your grandfather has for you: one is to have you return to society and be accepted by everyone; and the other is to revitalize traditional medicine with your impeccable medical skills?”
“You’ve probably guessed right, but I have a wish of my own.”
“To see the Luo Family rise?”
“Congratulations, you got it right,” Luo Ziling pinched Yang Qingyin’s nose naturally.
“Hmph, you’re so annoying, always picking on me,” Yang Qingyin collapsed into Luo Ziling’s arms, pouting slightly, watching him quietly.
The moment they had met, she had expected his passionate kiss.
Having been apart for so many days, she still missed Luo Ziling dearly. Although they texted each other every day on WeChat, messaging was completely different from meeting in person, not to mention that there was no way to be intimate through WeChat.
Once you’ve tasted the sweet, you’re hooked, and having experienced the intimacy of a man and woman, Yang Qingyin naturally thought of hugging and kissing upon seeing Luo Ziling.
But today, after spending so much time together, Luo Ziling had not made any advances, and that left a small uneasiness in her heart.
Luo Ziling saw the meaning behind Yang Qingyin’s actions and hesitated for a moment but ultimately still kissed her.
However, his kiss was hesitant, not as fiery and domineering as usual.
Being a sensitive person, Yang Qingyin picked up on this subtle change and couldn’t help but feel a tremble in her heart.
After they naturally parted, she looked at Luo Ziling, puzzled, hesitated whether to ask something but ended up asking nothing at all.
Luo Ziling noticed Yang Qingyin’s confusion, got startled, and pulled her into his embrace once more, this time without any reserve, kissing her wildly, even more domineering than usual.
Yang Qingyin was quickly lost in it, all her previous doubts disappearing amid Luo Ziling’s domination and frenzy.
As Luo Ziling kissed her, he was also engaging in the usual playful touches.
Yang Qingyin put up a token resistance, then let Luo Ziling have his way.
But Luo Ziling did not continue further, stopping after a short while.
By then, Yang Qingyin’s body had softened, resting in Luo Ziling’s embrace.
Days of yearning had lowered her defenses significantly. Yang Qingyin felt that if Luo Ziling was forceful today, she might have succumbed half-willingly, losing the thought of resisting under his kisses and teasing.
Fortunately, Luo Ziling stopped in time, which allowed her to breathe a sigh of relief.
“I should go back to sleep,” Luo Ziling said softly, holding Yang Qingyin for a while, “I’m a bit tired today, and my mom spoke to me about many things. I need to go back and think things over.”
Yang Qingyin’s heart skipped a beat, hurriedly asking, “What did your mom say?”
She thought that might be the crux of Luo Ziling’s odd behavior today.
“My mom said that you should consider the consequences before doing anything and not act impulsively,” Luo Ziling did not fully explain his thoughts but vaguely said, “So, I need to go back and think things over. Don’t be mad at me, okay?”
“Okay,” Yang Qingyin felt a bit downhearted, but in the end, she said nothing more.
